Hayden and Zoey loved each other since they were kids and when they reunite at age 18 sparks fly. They are soulmates and the sweetest couple. Both virgins, no cheating, no drama, cute future epilogue with 1 kid but I wanted more...kids lol

Ready for some fireworks this is is a pretty shoet novella with some steam.
I giggled because anytime Hayden would play pranks or do stuff that invovled Zoey I was he has a crush. Doing all that stuff to her lol on baby Zoey. Now that they are spending 4th of July and 18 things changed. Hayden isn't the same troublemaker kid she knew he's a overprotective older brother and different then she remembered, as for Hayden his Zoey is different to shes more mellow and not wild but he still loves her and now he's finally going to make her his. There is drama but its family drama and not the couple drama so I love that.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Zoey isn’t happy when she hears the news that Hayden Corby and his family are coming to stay at the family cabin for July 4th weekend. Hayden did nothing but get her in trouble when they were children and when he moved away with his mum and stepdad she suddenly transformed into a good girl. At least that’s the way she remembers it. It’s been six years since they last saw one another so when she arrives and gets to meet eighteen year old Hayden she’s taken aback at how different he is, she wasn’t expecting the man in front of her. Zoey can’t help but wonder what else has changed, she watches him with his younger brother and she is shocked at how he seems to be the o my one looking after Davey. This weekend she didn’t expect to find the man she never knew she wanted but when he looks at her the chemistry sizzles. But is this just a quick fling he wants or could they actually have a love story with a HEA?
Hayden has been counting the days until he sees his one true love again, they were inseparable as children and he was devastated when his mum remarried and they had to move. The only thing Hayden cares about as much as he does her is his little brother Davey, he is pretty much raising him as his parents are always working. Going to college at the end of the summer is what he sees as his chance at freedom and the only person he wants to share the journey with is Zoey, he is the calm to her storm and this weekend he’s making her his forever. Will Hayden win her heart or does he already have it?
This was a great read and yes you are thinking is it right the way these two want forever to start now but you so want that happy ending. Fab fab read highly recommend it. 4.3*

HAYDEN’S FIRECRACKER is about a couple whose love is refreshingly realistic. Though Hayden and Zoey are in their late teens, they are responsible young adults who know what direction they want their lives to go, and neither are willing to back down when it comes to achieving their dreams. I really enjoyed seeing them think back to their childhood years and the numerous experiences they went through then. What is happening now that they are older is also insightful, as it let me know the type of person they had become as a grown-up. Megan Wade had me laughing with this couple at times, while other moments are movingly emotional.
Although Zoey Storm has not seen Hayden Corby since they were twelve, she never forgot the person who once lived next door to her. While they may have been together a lot, many of those instances regularly ended up with her being involved in a situation that left her annoyed. Hayden definitely remembers Zoey very well, too, and he is looking forward to seeing her again when their families spend 4th of July staying in a cabin at the lake. When these two are reunited for several days, how they really feel about one another may be exposed in a surprising way.
Since Hayden and Zoey are younger than many couples in romance stories, their book deals with college, families, and deciding the path that they want their life to take. I found them both to be interesting people, and I was eager to discover how each would perceive the other when they got back together again. "Hayden Corby went and did a Neville Longbottom—he glowed up. Holy shit."
This was a 3.5 star read for me so I went ahead and rounded it up to 4 stars. I read this as Yikes on a Cracker, part of the Sugar Curves series from Megan Wade.
So this is about two kids who are just out of high school which I'm not really into. I don't like my romance about an eighteen year old unless it's with an older man. I'm an age gap romance junkie. These two were also dual virgins which I did think was kind of cute. They were friends when they were kids and Hayden's family moved away when they were twelve. They haven't seen each other since.
Now they are both eighteen and spending the long fourth of July weekend together with their families. Like I said, not usually my type of read but it wasn't bad, just not my personal preference. What really pushed it to four stars for me was Hayden. I absolutely loved him. He was so adult, he took care of his little brother so lovingly without a complaint even though he should have been. He knew that he wanted Zoey forever and he made sure that was going to happen.
A good read, especially if you love new adult romance.

I always liked the story where love came naturally to two best friends. It was always sweet and had that "aww" effect for me. This one included. Two troublemakers that attached to the hip since they laid eyes on each other realized that they were incomplete without one another after one abrupt separation. But one family reunion-slash-vacation brought back all the bittersweet memory and the rest was history.

This was very intense, very fast as a reader, but I was ok with it given they'd grown up together (at least for a large portion of their lives, anyways).
I also think this is the first Megan Wade I've read that was NA. It just felt a little 'here's the plot ok and this is it' and maybe a little underdeveloped, I know her stuff is all crazy short but usual her 60 odd page reads have more development than this did.
A 3* because I wanted a lot more from the story. It boded so well and then just kind of enough didn't happen.

I mean shortest book I have ever read 🤣
Unsure how I feel about this one. It was so bam bam bam end! But the spice was cute and the story line (lol it lasted a minute) was there just kind of feel it could have been so much longer!!
Definitely got more emotion at the epilogue and that itself saved the book!!

Her whole body was tingling! What was happening to her? And maybe things weren’t so bad having them here, she thought. She walked down to the dock and dangled her feet in the water, stretching to push them deeper to the cooler layer. Hayden told her to jump in and quit trying to adjust slowly to the water � then he shoved her in! When she sputtered to the surface, his nude form landed beside her, laughing! He hadn’t changed at all! He was still a brat and a troublemaker! When would she see that he has loved her from the first time they met and has saved himself just for her? Everything he does is to reinforce what they had and watch her react, then laugh. Megan Wade has written a short 5-star book. Zoey is upset when her father tells her that she will be going to the lake with them for the 4th of July and that Hayden, his mom, and stepdad will be there. Zoey remembers all the trouble they got into when younger. Now it is 6 years later and she has not seen him in that time. Hayden moved away from Zoey when they were twelve and his dad left. The last time they went on vacation together, his mom was getting remarried and he was not happy. Hayden now has a 5-year-old brother Dave he watches while his mom and stepdad do what they want. Hayden wants to go to college but his stepdad doesn't want him to go. While at the cabin they are all at, Hayden has to watch Dave and he falls in the lake while fishing. Hayden's mom sees this and she starts yelling at Hayden. Zoey tells Hayden's mom that it is her son and she should be watching him and not Hayden. Zoey and Hayden realize that they are meant to be together.
Can Zoey and Hayden have the life they want or will things keep them from getting it?
This was a wonderful short read and I would recommend it to anyone.

This book is about Zoey and Hayden. They used to be friends growing up � partners in crime. Until this weekend away with their families, they hadn’t seen each other for six years. Now they’re both 18 years old, and Zoey’s not sure how she feels about him, though she does admire how he’s changed physically. But Hayden only has eyes for her, and is determined to make her his.

This pair of 18 year-olds knew what they wanted, and just went for it! I loved the way she stood up for him, and the way they stood up for each other. I’d love to see more of this pair, as they were wonderful characters that really pulled me into their swift love story. I give this book four and a half sweet stars!

Hayden and Zoey grew up together before his parents split up and he moved away. He didn't want her sharing their place with anyone else to he burned it to the grown which made her hate him. Now years later Zoey's parents have invited his family to the lake for the summer and she be reunited with Hayden again. Hayden always knew that Zoey was the one for him but he never got a chance to do anything about it because he had to move away. He takes this time to get his girl to come out of her shell again so he can claim her. Will Zoey give Hayden another chance at her heart?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Hayden’s firecracker is book four in the ‘’the holiday firecrackers’� series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. With the fourth of July weekend approaching, Zoey and her family are off to their cabin with old friends. Hayden has been in love with Zoey for years. After six years apart he is finally going to make her his woman.
The chemistry between Hayden and Zoey is clear to see and I liked them together. I thought they made a cute couple.
I loved how Zoey stood up for Hayden.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

This story is about childhood friends that meet up again after 6 years, with the male lead always having been in love with the female lead, but she thinks she hates him because he helped get her into trouble.
I really enjoyed the fact that he was the one who knew he’d been in love with her for years and that he continued to love her and had saved himself for her. It doesn’t take much to make her realize that she loves him too. This is a very sweet story of them coming back together again. The love scenes weren’t erotic enough for me but this is definitely a sweet loving story that I enjoyed.
Definitely recommend this book.

First off, I really did enjoy this. It was short, sweet, funny and a little poignant. I thought the characters were great and I loved how they just melded with each other.
Now the one thing... the MCs are both 18. And to my (old!) self, it read just a little bit like a YA story but with graphic sex and language. To be fair, that might be more a "me thing" than a story thing. But I can see this book being super appealing to those in the 18-28 or so age range.
Note: Available on KU at time of posting. Standalone in a series written by different authors. I've read others in the series and can totally recommend it. I would read more by Wade as the story itself was well written and engaging, with especially good dialogue.
