He can barely remember her, but she'll never forget the father of her twins!
Levi Taylor spent seven years behind bars for tax evasion, turned in by his traitorous brother, Judas. Now released, he has nowhere else to go but back to his hometown of Sweetwater, Michigan. With no money or job, he crashes at his brother Thomas' place, never expecting to be elected as the town's new mayor. And just when his life is looking up, his past comes back to haunt him.
Single mother and food reviewer, Candace Kane arrives on a train in Sweetwater with her six year old twins in tow. She's been asked to be a guest judge at the county fair. The last thing she expects is for her past lover, Levi Taylor to end up as her escort. Seven years apart without a word between them has given her plenty of time to regret her one-night-stand. She's not sure Levi can change his wild ways. And since she doesn't plan on staying in Sweetwater long, she's not in a hurry to tell him he's fathered her children.
But with just one kiss in Levi's arms, feelings between them are rekindled. Now Candace has a decision to make that could change both of their lives forever.
Passion and pride conflict as two people who have everything to lose as well as everything to gain, have to decide if they should part ways or start a new life together.
(Sons of a preacher but far from saints . . . these men are nothing but trouble!)

I loved book one of the Tarnished Saints series so much that I immediately started book two right after. Matthew Levi Taylor is second oldest of the 12 brothers and closest brother to Thomas. However, Levi has just gotten out of prison after seven years for tax evasion, and what’s worse is that poor Levi was turned in to the IRS by his younger brother, Judas. So, as you can see, trouble just seems to follow the Taylor brothers. Now that Levi is out of prison, he shows up at Thomas home having no money, no job, no car, and nowhere else to go. Things get even crazier for Levi after food critic, Candace Kane, arrives in Sweetwater from Chicago with her twins, Vance and Valentine, to be a judge at the annual fair. Candace is shocked to see Levi -- her one-night stand from seven years earlier. But they’ve never forgotten each other, and Levi and Candy begin to spend time together. It seemed these two would never get a chance at happily ever after because of Levi’s seemingly unending run of bad luck and crazy situations as well as Candy’s secret. I loved Levi! And we meet two more brothers in this book. Can’t wait to dig in to Judging Judas!
Luring Levi is awesome. Getting out of prison and being conned into agreeing to be Mayor is just the beginning of Levi's problems. When his one night stand from just before being sent to prison shows up in his town, dragging a couple of kids, he can't get her out of his mind. When Candice steps off the train and sees the man she can't forget because her son looks just like his father. Knowing she needs to tell him about the twins being his children, she can't bring herself to telling him because he seems just as irresponsible as he was 7 yrs ago. Suspense and sexual tension makes this story so good. Elizabeth Rose has a way of making her stories twist you around until you can't let go until you finish the last page!
Levi must have felt like he had a sign saying "kick me" on his back. Betrayer by his brother. Seven years in prison - 5 for tax evasion + 2 for being caught up in a prison riot. Set up by his accountant (see tax evasion). Seeing the girl he dreamed about for 7 years only to find out she had children which turned out to be his!! Took a couple more good kicks to get him in gear and on track for HEA.
Great book. Levi is ashamed of his past so much so that he thinks everyone else feels the same way. Then a someone from his past comes along with an amazing secret that will either change him or shatter him completely. I highly recommend this book. For mature readers.
Levi was a fantastic character and I loved his story. Levi was in prison and had once been a chef who lost his restaurant and everything but is now out. He meets up with Candy a girl he had a one night stand with before going to jail and has quite a few surprises. This is the second in the series and was as well written as the first.
Luring Levi is Book #2 in the series about the twelve Taylor brothers. The boys father was a preacher who named them after the twelve apostles but these are bad boys, nowhere near Saints! I am thoroughly enjoying these books. These are characters you come to love.
I love the way the whole family is brought into the story. I love the chemistry between Candy and Levi. At times I wondered if candy and Levi would get back together or not. Something was always keeping them from talking. But isn't that how life is.
Luring Levi is one book out of a twelve book series. Levi didn't start out very likeable but he eventually redeemed himself. Candace was a little high handed but seemed to work for Levi as a partner. Not my favorite but not bad.
God storyline! Engaging characters! Romance scenes more developed. All-in-all a good read. Levi's difficulty in not forgiving Judas is understandable and very well crafted.
This book was just what I needed. The brothers arguing, And their women always stepping in to the resue. It was s fun book to read. Now onto book 3 Judge story.
Luring Levi: WOW! It was intense, exciting, hot and full of surprises! He hadn't seen her in 7 years. The connection was still there even though there were lots of obstacles. There were still sparks how ever much she try to avoid it. Great story!
This series follows in the well written style of small Ed's books. Each character and the partner chosen is strong, intelligent, and well suited. Good read.
Levi is the second Tarnished Saint to return home and as he has just been released from prison he has earned the title. After loosing his restaurant and going to jail Levi has lost his passion for the most important thing in his life, cooking. Feeling depressed and not good about himself he is on the road to self destruction. Tricked into getting back on the right track and changing the towns opinion of him, Levi becomes the mayor. Putting minimal effort into his new job Levi struggles with his new appointment. Small town antics, county fairs and town council meetings have Levi at wits end. IF things couldn't go any worse, the past as come calling and it brought a couple of young friends. Candy Kane is on vacation and is speechless when she see the man she never thought to see again. The sparks fly and the heat is still there but Levi self esteem and Candis secret are going to be a problem. Trying to prove he is good enough to himself to deserve happiness is a very entertaining tale. This was another great story with awesome characters and an entertaining storyline. You just can't help but fall in love the boys of the Tarnished Saints.
Ok...I read Doubting Thomas this morning, and really liked it. So I bought Luring Levi, book 2 in the series. I liked Levi's character in Doubting Thomas, but I totally fell for him in this book. It is full of surprises of all sorts. Candy and Levi make a great couple. This book picks up where book 1 ended. I loved it and would recommend it. I am looking forward to reading more of this series from Elizabeth Rose soon.
