An ER doctor. A Fire Chief. Hilarity, danger...and true love conquering all.
All that Dr. Jenna Novak wants is some peace and quiet, and the leisurely pace of small-town living. And after five years in Haiti hurricanes, earthquakes, gang warfare, and let’s not mention the scandal and embarrassment moving to Serenity seems to be the best thing she did in a very, very long while.
However, Serenity turns out to be anything but quiet. Her baptism by fire is just the beginning; there are quirky events like Halloween Great Pumpkin Vigil, there’s surviving a runaway Burmese python, rescuing neglected dogs (and a puppy!), finding a missing child, rushing around the ER at the medical center...and there’s her neighbor, the incredibly hot Fire Chief Logan Cooper.
But why did things have to get so complicated with him? It was supposed to be something fun with an attractive, gray-eyed hunk (hey, is having the whole town place bets on your sex life also fun, or embarrassing?), so why is it suddenly becoming something...well, a lot more?
And why did her obsessive ex, a recovering addict, have to follow her into her new life...and will she be able to survive him?
Will Logan get to her in time, and rescue her...again...just one more time?
BOOK 1: Dr. Jenna Novak’s arrival in the small town of Serenity is a baptism by fire, when an accident on the highway forces her to use her emergency medical skills before she even takes up duty at the medical center.
Losing a critically injured crash victim at the site wins her no fans, and Fire Chief Logan Cooper doubts her capabilities. Yet, no matter how irritating she finds him, he turns out to be a steady point of reference as she begins to navigate her new surroundings and meet the friendly and not-so-friendly oddballs who live in the town.
When a runaway Burmese python invades her shower as she stands there naked, it’s Logan who hears her screams and comes running.
How do you reward a man who’s willing to be your hero?
1. he kissed her on day 2 of knowing her telling her "he likes her and knows she likes him" 2. the term pussy juice was used 3. she told him theyre not an item.. on day 2 4. he called her baby and babe.. on day 2
Nothing serene about this book. Dr. Jenna Novak faces more crises than Carter has pills. Leaving the chaotic life in Haiti for a peaceful one in the sweet town of Serenity was her dream. But it didn't take long for her world to get turned upside down. More drama and turmoil than you can imagine. What happens when you lose your first accident patient before you even make it to your job at the ER. You're naked and a snake visits you in your shower and you're rescued by your gorgeous neighbor, No shortage of small town gossip or bets on your love life. An addict ex who appears and causes more havoc. Missing children and pumpkins galore. And the list goes on and on. Should Jenna just move back to Haiti or should she adapt to her crazy new life? What about her gorgeous neighbor/love interest, Logan? This book was so full of action and drama it had my head spinning at times. You'll laugh and you'll cry. This was a good book with well developed characters. The chemistry between Jenna and Logan was off the charts but roadblocks kept getting in the way. This is the first of six books in the Serenity series so I think the drama in this small town is just beginning. I read a free book via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
Jenna is just entering the town of Serenity and her new life when she comes across an accident scene. Things do not go well there, and the fire chief, Logan, is not impressed. He also lives next door to her and she thought her life would go easier here in the small town. Chaotic is a perfect word to describe Logan and Jenna getting together. He does rescue her from a huge snake.... in her shower. This is part of a series so the romance is just getting started. The characters around town are unique and quirky and into full on bets on the fire chiefs romantic life. Laughed so hard during some situations. A fun storyline that shows a lot of promise and can not wait to find out what happens next for these two. Should get even more interesting.

Jenna Novak has spent five years in Haiti working for Doctors Without Borders and has seen and experienced many things and is now ready for some peace and quiet, so she is moving to the small town of Serenity. On her way into town she comes up on an accident and is called on to use her medical expertise even before she reports to her job at the emergency department of the hospital. At the accident scene she also meets Logan, the local fire chief and her landlord. Jenna is surprised at the attention she receives from the local people in this small town. There are humor, romance, and interesting people and incidents in this book. This is a short but fun read. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
This is book one of six in the “Find Me in Serenity series and you definitely will want to read them in order. Written in the third person, we are introduced to our main characters Jenna and Logan. There are also lots of fun side characters neighbors, coworkers, and townsfolk. Everyone has something from the past that they don’t want to share and it seems Jenna has quite a bit. I’m looking forward to finding out what all is involved in her past and if she and Logan can build trust.
I did enjoy the banter between Jenna and Logan especially how Logan basically states something rather than asking and Jenna seems OK to go along with it.
I have read the first book in the series and I have to say I felt like I knew the characters personally you start to relate to them and understand them .jenna left her old life hoping for a fresh start but it seems trouble follows her wherever she goes.as soon as she hits her new town she is caught up in a major accident where she meets a very hot fire chief logan cooper who also happens to be her landlord of course then she finds a snake in her shower and this is all before she starts her new job at the hospital i cant wait to read the next book in the series if its as exciting as this first book.

Jenna was new to town and came across an accident scene. Captain Logan gave her a hard time when she lost a patient but secretly he admired her. I loved the chemistry Jenna and Logan have. He was a bit bossy at first but had a great heart. The whole town is made up with quirky characters and situations. I just live books like that. So well written, I am really excited to see where this series leads.

I very much enjoyed reading the first novel in the series, Find Me in Serenity. The two main characters are both bold and intelligent individuals who I immediately wanted to read more about. I particularly enjoy reading series in novels and so far, I feel this one will not disappoint. Looking forward to reading the next novel.

This book is a sweet small town fun loving with small town gossip . Who would want that no one except Dr. Jenna Novak with a little bit of peace and quiet. But that doesn't happen when you have small problems that town have going on and also her neighbor Fire Chief Logan Cooper. Who is too hot to be around .

Jenna is a doctor who after several years of living under high-stress circumstances, she decides to take a position in a small town. Logan is the chief of the firefighters in Serenity. This is the first book I read by Clara Cruise and it won’t be the last. I liked the world she creates and the people living in it. I have the feeling that this one is going to be a great series. Omg this is book 1 and let me just say this book is absolutely so good but down side is its a cliffhanger. Er Dr. Jenna Novak is on her way to find peace and running away from a crazy but when an accident on the highway happens she meets the fire chief Logan Cooper and sparks fly between them but will she push him away? I can't wait for more from Serenity.

This is a really good book! With plenty of action. The characters are amazing! Jenna is the new Dr. in Serenity, while Logan is the chief of the fire department. They meet early in the book. Their first meeting is at the first piece of action in the book. It wasn't the best first impression. I am not particularly in to the way the book ended. It would fine if you have the whole series to read all ready.

A firefighter meets the new small-town doctor on the side of the road. Actually, he's the fire chief, she's treating patients at a horrific school bus accident scene, and he loses his shite. He apologizes but continues to mistreat her as he orders her around. He doesn't follow protocol for scene safety or triage at the wreck so I beginto wonder how or why he's chief. It comes down to his charm.
I'm being kind at 2 stars. To earn fewer stars would mean it was so bad I didn't finish it.
I did, however, finish this one. I felt it had a lot of potential, but it was really badly written. Grammatical and spelling errors throughout. The story itself was weak and far too rushed. There was no real slow burn between the 2 protagonists. Nothing to build on or get you excited and wanting to read more.
I have no interest in reading the next instalment.
Heartwarming, hilarious, and full of surprises! Dr. Jenna Novak’s fresh start in Serenity is far from what she expected, and it’s so much fun to join her for the ride. Logan Cooper is the ultimate romantic hero, but he’s also so much more than a pretty face—his depth and compassion shine through in every scene. This book hits all the right notes, from laugh-out-loud moments to edge-of-your-seat suspense. A delightful debut to the series!
An exciting page turner! It is well written, fast pace, funny, engaging, and well-developed with drama and emotional ups and downs. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is instant! Definitely recommended!

I hate it and feel ripped off when an author sells you a book and it's only the first few chapters. What could have been.one book, because it is just one story, is broken.into several books you must buy separately. So basically you pay for a few chapters at a time. I won't be doing that.
Went back and forth. Could not decide if I liked it at first. When it ended, it did leave me wanting to find out what would happen with Jenna and Logan. I wish that the books were in one since it’s not long.
Very cutesy. I like that there was some humor in this tiny book. Now there were some grammar and words that could be fixed but overall it is cute. I hate the ending cliffhanger though.
I didn't realize this a multi book story but I have to say I loved it! I can't wait to start book 2! Jenna and Logan are meant for each other but what a story getting there!!!
STEM FMC in the medical field! I'm always looking for books with women in STEM, and this series has it. This series is written very strangely... it's like 6 tiny novels that are really just one long novel. You can't read any of them as stand alones, and each one ends on a cliff hanger, so you need to go to the next one. The spice is ok and the plot is ok, just a strange format.
Short but definitely worth the read....not everything is serene in serenity.
What happens when you cross a broken person with an overly confidant person? How do they traverse the mine lines that have etched deep scars in the psyche of one of them? How can a person who doesn’t know how to communicate the horrors they have lived, overcome their fears so that the one person who seems more than willing to break up the dark clouds that live within bring the sun back? Short but a page turner nonetheless. Can’t wait for book 2. Not everything is serene in serenity.

This is the story of Logan and Jenna. First in the Find Me In Serenity series. Jenna is the new ER doctor that has just moved to Serenity. Logan is the fire chief of Serenity, along with her new landlord and next-door neighbor. Did I mention that he is gorgeous? They met at the scene of a major accident on the interstate on her way into town. She was hurt but not that bad and jumped to action to help with the scene even before help arrived. Logan is taken with Jenna. Jenna is not looking for any relationship as her life has been utterly total BS and she is trying to get away from it. Things get heated between the two and things happen then in the middle drama occurs. Logan walks out on her. This is a cliffhanger of a story, so you will need to read all that has happened. There is more drama of course that leads up to their heated encounter. I can't wait for the next book.

Dr. Jenna Novak makes a explosive entrance into her new hometown of Serenity. After spending 5 years with Doctors Without Borders she’ll need a little serenity. A major crash into town puts Jenna to work before she’s even scheduled and in the path of Fire Chief Logan Cooper. Their first meeting is tense and that’s being tame. Once the calamity of the day settles, he drives her home where he’s had her car delivered from the highway and her boxes moved into her house. The kick in the head is, he’s her landlord and neighbor. A night out with Logan and the crew has Jenna weak in the knees, but apprehensive for some reason. She just wants a hot shower and some self induced relief, but all she can think of is Logan, until she finds a humongous snake in her shower! Logan hears her scream and runs to her aid. Things get really hot and steamy, but several dings from her phone gives them both a “reality check! I’m invested in this series now and I need more of The Doc and the Fire Chief!!!!
