Wanting to reach out further than just her immediate clientele, Kate decided to write her first two books, pouring into them all she has learned and experienced in helping others with an eating disorder and now anxiety.

Kate lives and works in London and occasionally escapes to spend summers enjoying the views from the middle of a field on her land in Cornwall, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Kate once spoke to the late Queen on the telephone, by accident, who wanted to know if she was “The General Public. . . she had to come clean. . . and admit it!

This book is a good read for anyone that has an eating disorder, or for those that want to learn more about eating disorders. The author walks you through her life story & explains how her eating disorders - anorexia & bulimia developed for her. There is a lot of relatable information in this book for anyone who is struggling with an eating disorder. The author also shares how she worked through her eating disorder by providing many examples such as “Once I began monitoring my eating each week, by phone, the therapist and I would look at the week and begin to try to identify any patterns in my eating. We discussed barriers to change as we created a plan of action and, of course, my negative thoughts and feelings about food, my self-esteem, habits, triggers, urges, and everything else!. The author shares techniques & methods used when her thoughts and feelings became too much, as this is when the eating disorder would take over. She states, “I began to learn how to express and process my emotions without the constant strain of trying to suppress the beasts. I learned to be able to experience all my feelings, which incorporated both the pleasant and the ugly ones. I was learning to stop allowing my brain to be ruled by thoughts about food and my body. There are also many exercises throughout the book that you can do, to help you break the negative patterns that comes along with eating disorders. This book provides ways that you can change your negative thinking pattern into a more positive pattern. The author provides demonstration videos for the different techniques that you can use. I really enjoyed watching these videos. I also really liked the structured eating program that the author has provided. This way, you already have a meal plan in place, and you do not have to stress over what you so eat at each me, or throughout the day.

A very encouraging, hands-on practical book to break the bulimic cycle!

What a great and helpful book this is! Kate's personal story touched me deeply and it is so inspiring to read how she got out of the vicious cycle of her bulimia habits.

She writes in an encouraging, positive, empathetic, and humorous style. You feel like sitting next to her and having your biggest cheerleader in her. She provides a myriad of powerful techniques for people to stop bingeing and purging. And these techniques can not only help for this specific behavior but also to break other negative thought- and belief patterns. I particularly like the 'The New You' technique and the 'Instant Trigger Change' one. But actually, all of the techniques are super helpful and Kate provides links to video demonstrations to be able to understand the different techniques even better. I will for sure go back to these from time to time!

It is a truly powerful book for people struggling with bulimia, for parents whose children are suffering from it, for people who have other types of negative thought- and belief patterns, and for anyone interested in this important topic that is still too often tabooed in the public realm.

This book is a valuable resource.

If you want to find out more about bulimia and anorexia, the causes, and cures, I highly recommend this book. The book is an A-Z comprehensive guide on how to tackle bulimia.
The author analysed the roots of bulimia from her childhood memories and presented some good examples from practice. I loved icons, booms, videos, hot tips and quotes embedded within the book. The practical side of the book will help every person trying to quit binging and purging by practical exercises, step-by-step guidance, and various visualisations through meditation.
