Bob Blanton has been an avid reader ever since his mother first took him to a library at age five. He has toyed with writing for years since college but was always too busy to start a novel. The "stone series" developed almost by itself as he was trying to sleep on long flights to Asia and Europe. He managed to write it and two follow-on novels while he was working, but never had the time to polish them. After he retired to the beach in Mexico, the only thing that competes with writing is the sound of the ocean and sunsets over the water. Now that he has published his series, he hopes you enjoy reading them as much as he has had writing them. Check back for other books as he continues to ply his new trade.

Now that he has published his series, he hopes you enjoy reading about Matthew and his developing powers as much as he has enjoyed writing about them.

These books are very easy to read and usually Catie has enough going on to make them enjoyable. However using numerous meetings of the McCormack clan as a way of telling the story doesn’t really work for me, I’m afraid I found them a bit tedious.
Fortunately Catie does have some difficult problems to deal with on her new space station that add a bit of excitement.

still keeps on trucking

Excellent read, each one gets a tad better than the previous. I want the Nantes to fix my knee and thumb, oh also eyes and ears. I don’t care about hair, my wife thinks it’s sexy. Having read Verne and 20,000 Leagues under the sea. I was told by a Union type English teacher that it was junk and unbelievable. About 15 years later I was on a Nuclear Fast Attack Submarine that stayed submerged for 58 days. So much for junk. Now I have to go back and start over in Hawaii to remember parts that I forgot.

I've read all of the books in this series (this one being number 13). Catie is the main character in the series and gets a little old in spots. The story gets a bot boring as the author details all the steps in building each ship and space station. Where I find the story more interesting is in the bad actors such as the Chinese or certain miners that attempt to get away with theft and sabatage. I found myself skipping through the slower details to get to the more interesting parts. In the beginning of the series earth ran into more challenges as the stories centered on the original premise of the McCormicks finding and using hidden alien technology to make earth ready for its enemies. Not as much of that is the last few books.

Mok's review

1 of the worst books in the series. The premise of the book is not bad the plot line and Story is Promising. However the sexism and ginocinticty makes the story almost unbearable. This is highlighted when they characters Make comments on how it should be highly illegal for a man to get a surrogate to have children. All while glossing over in the same sentence that women do much the same thing. This is not This is not taking into account 1 of the characters who considers it perfectly acceptable to make sexual advances on men that is men to the same to her she feels justified and assaulting mutilating and crippling them. It seems as though the author is trying to create a feminist sexist version of Kim possible in the primary character of Katie McCormick.

It was a longer than usual wait for the latest book in the Delphi series, and it made me realize how much I missed the series. I had started to read a number of sci-fi books but could not get past the first couple of chapters. I find the Delphi series to be very entertaining and written to keep the readers' attention. I am a fan of Catie and think she adds a lot to the books in terms of action and carrying some of the other blander characters. Once I started reading the latest book, I could not put it down and finished it in one rather long session. The current book was longer than some of the previous books in the series but managed to be entertaining throughout.

Arrrrg! Cliff Hanger!

It is Bob's usual good work. He hides just enough clues to keep you guessing and shows you just enough to keep your undivided attention (I wouldn't want to play cards with him 😯).
I also like the realistic evolution of the characters. Some of the story seems to drag or be redundant, but I found that it adds to the realism without overdoing it.
Now the cliff hanger. They found it and --- RETURN NEXT SATURDAY for the further adventures in book 14!!! Sorry, no spoilers 😂 👴👵

Another Serial Enticement

This series, which started as a classic sci-fi with found technology supported by deus ex machina when needed, has become a fairly steady teenage heroine serial. In this book, Catie successfully handles several challenges with support from her friends and family. This installment ends with all current story threads resolved and with a possibility exposed for the next installment.

One Of My Favorite Series

Princess Catie has just finished her assignment when her father decides that she needs more seasoning. Delphi and the planets are running out of platinum, so Marc assigns her to solve the problem. She will build and run a starbase in an uninhabited system with a lot of resources. Criminals try to wrest control form Catie. Will they put the Princess on the run? I like the action, humor, and intrigue. I look forward to the next book.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first 12 in this series . This one was a little slower but was written with multiple stories to be told. There was of course Cattie, along with the rest of the family but with so much going on this one was much more intriguing. There was the sabotage of the new station, the investigation of the US but with that its not until the end of the book you find out why. The ending was one of the best yet can't wait until book 14 is out

Delphi Forge takes us to the remote Vulcan space station.

Blanton manages to sell us a passel of fantastical ideas and timelines. But sell us he does. My Brian kept saying "this stuff would take decades and thousands of people to design and build." And that would be true. Yet Blanton convinces us to suspend disbelief and hop on his story wagon. I continue to enjoy the series.

The bigger the operation, the bigger the opportunity for mischief.

Vague and her family are trying to secure a new source for platinum ore away from WTH sol system and realize they'll need a whole new infrastructure to do it. But there's always a smart guy who thinks its easier to steal what others make than do it themselves! Grab this great addition to the Delphi story!

Great Science in the Fiction

In my kindle version the first few chapters repeats.
This story of a family who find a spaceship and reverse engineer it’s secrets to benefit mankind. By keeping it away from governments, they create their own.
Really surprised that Jeff or Elon haven’t hired u to you yet.

what was the purpose for this book?

I kinda felt like the book could have been the first one or two chapters of a totally different book. If this book was never written into the series we wouldn’t have really missed any of the overall storyline! It just didn’t go anywhere or really do anything.

I really like this series, but this is the weakest one I've read. Very boring, nothing happens until the very end and even that isn't much. I gave it 2 stars because I actually finished it, but wish I hadn't wasted the time. I kept reading because the other books had been so good and I thought it had to get better.

Delphi Forges Ahead!

Catie & her family & friends do it again! This time it’s a new space station out in deep space. Unfortunately, the station is rife with sabotage. And, unfortunately, the sabotage is rapidly moving from annoying, to expensive, to life threatening! Can Team McCormack rise to the challenge?!

Good story…but

I have enjoyed reading all the books so far. However, the author continues to preach about global warming and a few other issues. I can understand that the author has some opinions that he wants to share with the world, that’s all well and good, but the same song does get old after a while.

Catie and company strike again.

With the greater emphasis on STEM being made to females, maybe an Ell Donsai or Catie McCormick will pop up and help us all. Until then we will read the enjoyable fictional adventures

Hey No Fair

I love this series it is about the whole family of people who want to make things better and not just get rich off finding an alien starship. It is thrilling to read what is going on in the series. ENJOY!

Keep Them Coming!

Book 13 is another building a new universe adventure in the Delphi world. This one has intrigue, sabotage and "can't put it down" all over it. Thanks, Bob and please hurry up with Books 14 and 15.

disappointed

I was disappointed with this book. A lot of the situations where very contrived and not thought out. And a few of the situations seems to ignore technology that would make the situation so much easier. All around poor offering.

Good series

A nice sci-fy series that does show that getting earth people to work for s better future has to be done with out the or I should say around the current governments red tape and officials

Too much fluff. Too simple conclusions.

I know this is fiction because nothing in real life is ever that easy over and over, again and again. Still the characters are fun to follow, a character listing would be nice.

Discoveries

I have enjoyed all 13 of the Delphi in space books. I am 69 and still like a good thriller. The sub plots in Delphi Forge had me hooked from the first chapter to the last. Everyone should read this book. Look forward to the next book.

Love the growth of Cathie

Things are definitely developing nicely with all the innovation and development of the characters. We the story line building on some great technology it is fun to see how in the future so much of what is written here could maybe come true.

Story continues, excellent empire building but getting long in the tooth

The Delphians continue to expand colonies, fleets and building their empire. Really enjoyed the intelligence gathering, interdicting the would-be revolutionaries and ferreting out the saboteurs.

The more Delphi the better

Great book, I love the Delphi universe and characters. The world's are real, the stories rich and complex and feature the best of
all space operas.
