Maddie Wade creates such wonderfully dynamic characters. They're diverse and complex. Then she weaves them into captivating stories that are filled with suspense, intrigue, fast moving action and white hot sizzling encounters. You just can't go wrong with one of her books. Royal Salvation certainly fits perfectly into this mold.
Justice "Reaper" Carson and Princess Lucia Castille were quite remarkable. While they come from vastly different worlds yet there's an almost instant connection between them when they meet. She's not what he expected. I loved how he becomes her champion as well as her protector. For years Lucia has shrugged off all but her necessary royal duties and lives her life out of the limelight. She's down to earth, caring and involved with the charities she supports, not just a figurehead. She can't ignore this overprotective, gruff man who see the real her. Falling in love doesn't seem to be in the cards but walking away isn't either.

With a threat on Princess Lucia, Reacher is tasked with protection duty and not happy about it. Until he meets her. This is a love story but around that is a very real threat and something from both their pasts comes colliding into the present. Not knowing who can be trusted outside of his team Reacher is careful who gets close, finding things not as they should be in her home is equally as worrying. Suspense a plenty, action too. A gripping read that has a few sweet and tender moments as well as those that put a reader on the edge of their seat, I had faith though that all would work itself out in the end. It would have been great for Reacher to get a better conclusion to one aspect of this story but sometimes things dont always work out completely the way you'd like for a character, justice is not always served to its best. But this is a fantastic read with a steady flow and characters to love and hate. It had the excitement, love and comaradre of team, family and plot. A definite five stars from me.

Maddie Wade's 3rd installment of the Shadow Elite series lives up to all expectations.
Justice "Reaper" Carson is all the alpha male needed to protect Spanish Princess Lucia. When she's not being a princess, she's a photographer in places you wouldn't expect to find a princess. This leads to some people wanting to catch up with her.
I thought that Lucia was gonna have the spoiled princess feel to her but was happy to be wrong. She is actually 2nd in line to the throne and glad to be there.
Reaper is dealing with family issues and issues from his past that make him the one to be holding back. Once he works it out though, Lucia better watch out cause he is coming for her!
This story has all the normal good parts of a Maddie Wade romance!!

I am loving the Shadow Elite series. I think Reaper and Lucia are my favourite couple yet.
Lucia is a princess who chafes against the restrictions of her role and Reaper is a deeply motivated by his moral compass, which he has been made to pay for in the past. Both of them have huge obstacles to overcome but they face it together.
I'm not wanting to give any spoilers so all I will say is I have never been so happy to see the bad guys get their comeuppance. If I could have gone into the book, I would happily have dealt with them myself!
Maddie Wade deals with difficult issues sensitively as is expected from one of my all-time favourite, one click authors.

This is a fantastic read. It had me on the edge of my seat with more than one twist I wasn’t expecting. It also had me ugly crying more than once too. Justice “Reaper� Carson is tasked to keep Princess Lucia of Spain safe. Justice is a former Australian SAS soldier and Princess Lucia is war photographer and due to take a 6 month tour. These two have chemistry that’s off the chart but know it can go nowhere due to her duty to her country and family. When Lucia is threatened Justice sees red and knows he will do anything to protect her. Don’t plan to get anything else done when you start this book because it’s one you won’t be able to put down.

Really enjoyed this book, and boy were the bad guys really the worse. Twists, turns, angst, forbidden lust and impossible love. As always, Madden did an amazing job and Lucia is such a babe of a character. Also loved the glimpse into Bishop and his ex wife. Their story cannot come soon enough.

As always another great read by Maddie Wade!!I loved the storyline of Reacher and Lucia, it had the romance , supense and great ending. Reapers past comes back to haunt him and is a threat to Lucia. It is Shadow Elite that he is dependent on to help him and a few guest appearances by Jack. Thats all I am giving away, but I promise you do want to read it cause it is un put downable. I highly recommend it.

Wow. This was one of those books that I couldn't put down. Everything went by the by til it was finished.
Strong characters, setting,friendships and a story with a connection that I didn't see comming.

Royal Salvation and The Shadow Elite Team Story is absolutely fantastic. Justice aka Reaper was head of Australia SAS Team until 2 of his crew were caught doing something horrible but playboy and chess coming from being son of higher ups Justice was discharged from his duties and they were let go . Now he works for Shadow Elite and loving his job until he put on his now job of Guarding Princess Lucia of Spain as there's a threat going on against her. Justice aka Reaper never wanted to fall in love with anyone because he didn't want to give them the power of destroying him but can he keep his heart safe from the only woman who's caught his attention? Princess Lucia is still trying to find her backbone in the castle but when she meets Justice can she finally be who she wants to be or will Justice past come back to haunt him and get to princess Lucia. This book was absolutely fantastic and loved this book and couple.

I’d been so looking forward to Justice’s story since reading the sneak preview in the previous book and it did not disappoint!! I love the dynamic of the men and women of Shadow Elite and the inclusion of Maddie’s precious characters from Eidolon and Fortis.
As always, I love the British catchphrases like ‘on it like a car bonnet� which just makes this story all the more endearing for us UK fans.
Maddie embraces the British culture, which again is a rare occurrence as the majority are set in America or Alaska.
The chemistry between Lucia and Justice (Reaper) was instant and so vibrant from the get-go. I love Justice’s strong moral code. His total badass persona with a totally endearing fierce protectiveness. The whole package. The epitome of a total alpha male. His ease with which he commandeers the situation when necessary was put poetry in motion. His relationship with his family was something special to behold.
Lucia was a beautiful character, both inside and out. Kind, caring, one of those rare people who is completely selfless and pure. Watching her claim a little of life for herself after growing up in an atmosphere of being dispensable. The stress of trying to serve her country must have been so difficult, I actually felt myself wanting to stand up for her, luckily Justice beat me to it.
The bond between Lucia and Justice grew from their very first meeting. The chemistry almost a living, breathing entity of its own. Watching them fall in love, despite the evil from the past taunting them, was heartwarming and a true honour.
Maddie Wade never ceases to amaze me with her talent and undeniable ability to draw you willingly into her magical worlds. The only problem is that you become so entangled you never want to leave. These characters become your friend as you ride the whirlwind rollercoaster with them.
Can’t recommend highly enough.
All the stars in the world wouldn’t be enough to do this story justice.

Royal Salvation is the third book in Maddie Wade’s Shadow Elite series that is a spinoff of her Eidolon Black Ops and Fortis Security series (that I absolutely loved). I think I have read every single book that Maddie has written (including the Alliance Agency series that she writes with India Kells).
Royal Salvation is our Aussie Justice “Reaper� Carson’s story! I have been intrigued by him since we met him in book one, there was something very � solid and comforting about him � he is all about protecting and defending � a real warrior of old � Maddie broke my heart with the story of how his career was stolen from him, at times I feel so frustrated with the injustice that is in the world and how the rich and powerful get away with a murder, literary, and the ones with honor loose everything � that is something that I love about Maddie and her story telling, you see glimpses of the world around us in them, time again and again.
So, we have Reaper who is to guard Princess Lucia of Spain and he is not really impressed with her to start off with � I mean, talk about preconceived notions, I mean she is a princess so she must be playing at being a war photographer, right? Well � when their world clash and the sparks fly and the fire is ignited, he needs to face the facts and learn the age-old lesson of love being stronger than anything!
Thank you, Maddie, for giving us another unforgettable alpha who has been brought to his knees and lifted up by a heroine whose passion and kindness are something for any of us to strive for!

Reaper and the princess
Book three it took me a minute to remember past characters and team mates because I never rushed to read this book, very action packed this one.
Most of the time this storyline in books with bodyguards I find frustrating because writers really make them look to be bad at guarding people always get kidnapped from under them some protection they are.even if they are ex marine's or supernatural or with extra DNA super hearing.I often find its out of character for the guard or women in protection or just makes her look stupid.
But this book found a way to make it ok well ish she had royal guards before the team(even though he never trusted them from the beginning,but it's ok to send her of with them) but you could argue they ran back ground checks etc.just off they never check who was who.like I said I love to read bodyguard books and I get you need the taken for the storyline but I just find some parts stupid.I do like it better when they save them from day one then become bodyguards while they investigate showing how good they are.But hey this one's not so bad.
The next book looks interesting with bishop and Charlie (I like her already she was kind to our princess)

I've been waiting for this one. I was intrigued with Reaper from how protective he was with Snow, treating each other as siblings. I was pretty conflicted as I read this story. Maddie addresses some pretty horrific things that happen during wartime. For Reaper to be dishonor abled discharged from the Military was terrible. He tried to do the right thing and was punished severely for it. Jack Granger steps in and offers Reaper a chance to get it all back. his first job is to protect Princess Lucia who wants to be treated as a normal person and not as a Princess. She's a renowned Photographer but under a different name so her true identity is not disclosed. She has also witnessed atrocities and wants nothing more to go back and check on the Village people. This story captured my attention from the beginning. When I read Maddie Wade's stories, I know I won't be putting it down until the very last page. Although she always leaves us a teaser for her next one in the series. Let me tell you I always make sure to get her next one.

I had come across Reaper's name several times in the various stories written by Maddie Wade. But now reading what his motivations are and how he falls for a princess was breathless.
A really well designed story centered around the character Reaper (Justice). There I find the origin of his gallantry towards women and why he fights for the weak in society.
A well-worded start to a romance between him and Princess Lucia. This princess who would rather be ordinary instead of royal and who is trying to live with a career. Because there are threats against her, she needs 24/7 protection and that's where Justice comes into the picture.
Both realize that they cannot give in to their feelings simply because there is no future in them. But how do you stop a blossoming love? Danger is a good way, but that doesn't stop it either!
A fantastic part in the series around the team of Shadow.

Absolutely brilliant. I really loved this book, the third in the Shadow Elite series. It was gripping from the onset, when the author described exactly how and why Justice (Reaper), a former Australian SAS member, was picked to join the Shadow team. Now in present date, he has been tasked with protecting a Spanish Princess who has been threatened, and initially goes into the job thinking that Lucia will be a spoilt rich girl playing at being a war photographer as something to do. As they spend time together and the threats become attacks - can Justice and the others in Shadow Elite keep Lucia safe whilst hunting down those responsible? This is a fast paced book, full of twists and surprises, the growing hot and heavy chemistry between them is explosive, even as they both try to tell themselves it’s only a fling. I really enjoy the way the author not only involves the other members of Shadow Elite in each book, but also builds on their characters too, not just on the two principals. I can’t wait for the next in the series.

Reaper and Lucia are perfect together. We find that both know what is like to want to be someone else. I think that helps them understand each other. When Reaper is assigned to be the bodyguard of the Princess he's not happy with the risk that she's taking not only with herself but with anyone guarding her. What he didn't expect was to actually like her. Princess Lucia is determined to go back to a place that has haunted her for a very long time. She has to know what happened. With all of the threats to Lucia, Reaper is determined to keep her safe. What starts out as just fun between them has him soon realizing his heart has other plans. Even if he can't admit it to anyone because what good can come of it? Just as the couple are thinking maybe there is a chance for them an enemy from Reapers past appears and threatens all he holds dear. It's an entertaining story of love, loss, mystery & suspense that you will love to read.

They fight their attraction to one another as Lucia fights an unknown stalker who wants her dead. She has something in one of her photos that could get her killed,, along with Reaper.

This has got to be my favorite book of the Shadow Elite series yet. Justice is tasked with being the bodyguard for Princess Lucia of Spain. He thinks she is just a spoiled princess who has no concern for anyone's safety. He quickly learns how wrong he is. She is a photographer who has a heart for the poor and underprivileged. Lucia loves her family but, prefers to live out of the lime light. Justice and Lucia soon develop feelings for each other that neither saw coming. There's danger lurking and it's up to Justice and the Shadow Elite team to neutralize the person or persons behind it. Everything hinges on plans falling into place. Justice and Lucia have many obstacles ahead of them, and they are willing to work through anything to get the HEA they deserve. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Lucia was a princess in need of protection as she was being hunted but it was Reaper's history that was the real threat.
This was so good!! Fantastic book with brilliant characters and that ever present team spirit that just takes me to another world. I love reading in this world where they just fulfil somethiing me that leads me in this satisfying book.
Drama, intrigue, intensity and a special romance that takes my breath away. It isn't overly steamy but it's insinuated. I loved how Reaper feels about Lucia, and how he compliments her and gives her the strength to do what she needs to get done. A strong woman she already was, but he added more to get and she to him. I adored that!
Such a wonderful book and this series just seems to get better and better. All the books are tops in my list. Highly recommended!!

As the story progresses their attraction to each other is fought, the emotional situation becomes hot, and when the past resurfaces things become fraught. Maddie Wade kept her crown as romantic suspense royalty in Royal Salvation. This spinoff series from her Eidolon Black Ops series has continued the sense of family within the unit while allowing them the ability to grow closer together as each operative starts to find their perfect match.

Seeing Lucia, Justice knew she held every answer to every question in the universe he’d ever have; two minutes with Justice had Lucia calling for a replacement because Ash was too attractive and sexy to ignore. By the time Lucia receive a threat from parts unknown, she and Justice and Lucia were knocking on love’s door.
Justice and Lucia escape a murder attempt with minor injuries and Justice is handed a clue. Now the team has enough to identify the culprit but the why, where and how have to be resolved and Justice’s family home is a good place to secure Lucia while they unravel that knotty problem.

Royal Salvation is a steamy, suspenseful page turner that I could not put down. It is a complex and compelling story that draws you in from the beginning. I love the Shadow Elite world that Maddie Wade has created. The operatives are saving the world one job at a time. One by one they are finding the strong soul mates that complete them and can handle what they do. The team formed a family is their own, and they do whatever they have to do to help protect each other. This even extends to their hearts. I love Justice and Lucia. He may be known as Reaper but it is no surprise his given name is Justice, he is a warrior, a protector who strives to make the world a safer place. Lucia hates how broken the world is, the hurts we cause each other, she only ever wanted to expose the wrongs of the world but that paints a target on her back. Reaper (Justice Carson) has been tasked to protect the fiercely independent Spanish princess, Lucia. Her gift for photography and his role as protector leads them from what seems like an innocent cover story to usual action packed Maddie story and doesn’t disappoint.
It’s a love story, full of passion, alpha dominance, intrigue, a strong female lead and the appearance of the rest of the team, which we all love to see so we can catch up with their moments.
I’ve loved every series and am really enjoying getting lost in this one after a long day.

Justice “Reaper� Carson is tasked to keep Princess Lucia of Spain safe after a threat is made against her. He’s a former Australian SAS soldier and Princess Lucia is war photographer due to take a 6 month tour. The backgrounds to the main two characters couldn’t be more different but somehow Justice becomes Princess Lucia’s champion which leads to intrigue, suspense, and action. I’m not one to give too many details of how the journey progresses with so many twists and turns, but I have say Maddie that your bad guys were really evil and I couldn’t wait to see how they got their comeuppance!!! A fabulous read and addition to this series.

Their attraction is immediate . The danger is also . Reaper and Lucia are not expecting their connection to lead to their
pasts . As danger increases Reaper and his fellow Shadow team mates will work hard to protect and save Princess Lucia . Wow this story is outstanding , action packed and Suspenseful . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Completely Stellar!
Honestly, Ms Wade you simply cannot write a book that is even just average. I have read all books known to me written by you, not once was I disappointed, or bored.
Reaper and Lucia's novel was extremely convoluted, and came back to something she had absolutely no knowledge of...
Even, Reaper as intelligent as he is, couldn't understand where the threat came from...
But his past, comes back to try and hurt them both.
A princess and an Aussie, unusual combination, yet it works!
Their were many twists, manipulations, deadly occurances, well frankly, a Maddie Wade novel!
As usual, you did not disappoint!

Maddie Wade, you hit it out of the park again!After finishing Royal Salvation, my heart aches in my chest for Lucia and Justice aka Reaper! I’m in love with their love, which is so powerful! This story is so well written not only with the intrigue and danger, but the continuing solid family connection of the Shadows, and of course the story of Lucia and Justice. And I LOVE Jack’s recruiting methods! As I have stated in previous reviews, anything and everything written by Maddie Wade is a MUST read! Absolute 10 out of 5 stars!

This is the third story in the Shadow Elite series. Justice "Reaper Carson is tasked with being a bodyguard to royal Princess Lucia against an unknown stalker. When they meet, sparks fly. Reaper is very attracted to Lucia and she him. When the bad guys try to abduct Lucia, Reaper knows he will protect her with every beat of his heart. Again Maddie weaves stories with romance and intrigue and you can't stop til you get to the end!!!!! I highly recommend this book and I give it 5stars!!!❤❤❤❤�
