She has a fantasy she wants to explore and has the means to do it. Joining a monthly sex club was never part of her big life plan, but the desire to explore that part of herself is too intense, the pull too strong. The first month she goes, she meets a woman who is every bit her type, but flees. Each month she returns to find the same woman working the event to enjoy one night with her. One night per month is all she thinks she’ll ever get. Only she finds herself wanting more than one night, wanting to know her name, learn about her life, see her outside of their arrangement. Should she risk it, or keep things just the way they are?
In Once a Month, there’s a Member and an Escort. Each month, there are two sides to the story of their time together, and over the course of the year, they discover the fantasies they’ve not shared with others before. They also discover that this might be more than just fantasy.

Wow I love this sexy story. Monthly sex events at different locations lead the unnamed MC to meeting an event worker and they for the duration of the book have hot, hot, hot sex in every way. Throughout the book we never get any character's name or description. Yet love finds a way through the sweaty, sticky, 3 way, 4 way, sheet ripping sex. Did I mention that this is a sexy story? lol I like most everything happening here, but I did find the chapters repeat the action in the member and the escort's pov. Ok I need a shower now and maybe some sci-fi to reset my brain. :)
It pissed me off. Couldn’t bare the rehashing of the exact same events written verbatim, continuously for the dual pov. I also found it really repetitive and quite boring. I’m beginning to think me and this author just don’t gel. DNF at 29%
Reading a story where no one has a name takes from the overall experience for me. The characters feel objectified and like some part of their personality is missing so I have a hard time connecting with them. It would have been appealing if they were nameless only in the beginning when the two MC's were still getting to know each other, but after things progressed it just sounded off. The second POV chapters were so repetitive, like they were literally just copy/pasted with some minor differences, what was really the point of that? The sex scenes were hot and comprised about 90% of the book so if you're in the mood for erotica without caring too much about the romance and credibility of it all you might enjoy this book.
Once a Month was my first book from Nicole Pyland, and I really enjoyed it. This book was seriously hot 🥵🥵🥵 - but it also came with a very sweet romance between the Escort and the Member.
After just reading a few reviews, I've worked out this was published in a serialized format on Pyland's website. I love that idea and I think it was lost a little reading it as a novel. The Escort's POV was a tad repetitive in its novel form, whereas I think it would've been great if reading them the two POVs separately. Regardless, I still read the second POV for the internal commentary of the Escort.
Pick this up if you like your erotica with a side of romance. 🔥🔥🔥
This gave me something to look forward to twice a month. So glad it will be available as a book so. Yes it is super hot and sexy with a love developing over time. The side characters are also interesting. I need to own this book.
I think this might have worked better in its original, serialized, format. It was a bit too much of the same thing as a novel. About halfway through I started skipping the second POV chapters because they were so repetitive. Other than that, the encounters were hot and the sex varied.
5 stars. Nicole Pyland is a mastermind at erotica and sensuality. It never feels gratuitous or something that’s done for shock value which I appreciate. Also, she managed to write a 300+ page book where we know none of the characters names. Not one. It threw me off in the beginning but she somehow made it work.
So one of the main characters is a member of this exclusive sex club where she goes so that she can watch others and she meets our other main character who works at the club. They hit it off and it goes from there and it was such a ride! It’s sexy as hell and the chemistry between them is so good and intense. I loved it. There’s no big drama going on just these two characters bonding over their shared kinks and falling in love. So good. I loved every minute of it and it’s definitely one of the best erotic romances that I’ve read in a long time.
What a great erotica! And a beautiful love story! This is a HOT erotica love story between a member and escort of a sex club. You're told about their meetings with each perspective. OMG! Buy the book! 5 stars!
Only gave it 4 stars because I didn’t enjoy the way it was written. Back to back chapters of the same thing from the point of view of each main character.
Hottest shit I've read in a while. It's tits freezing right now in Brazil, but it felt like Summer during the whole reading hihihi.
I loved the premise and the execution didn't let it down. Top notch! The chemistry, the sexual tension between them and even the secondary characters, they all just fit. In any other thing, the POV bit could've made it repetitive, but it wasn't. I honestly didn't feel the page counting. The only bummer I found was not learning their names by the end of the story, OMG, I'm mad, just kidding. It was an interesting bit.
Anyway, I'm always delighted to find eroticas (any genre if I'm being honest) that I can add to my all time favourites list. This one definitely made it. Wouldn't mind revisiting these gals, if Nicole would give us the pleasure. And if there is a paperback version (I checked, there is!!!!) I'll be definitely buying it.
ok so like i somehow didnt know what erotica meant, and it took me a whole fucking mission to find this book so i was dedicated in seeing it through.
by the time i properly realised what erotica meant i was invested in finding out their names and stuck it out for my curiosity so imagine how annoyed i was when it was never revealed. (i get it like its a creative idea but like i wasnt really interested in anything else at that point)
im sure people would love this if they enjoyed eroticas but i found the CONSTANT sex to be tedious and i just wanted to find out more about the characters, which i did not.
the pov retelling quickly became annoying because of course its nice to get the different thoughts but like for the most part not much changes.
also why did she start crying but not mention it during her pov like hello??????
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
i don’t know why i read another one of her books but im thinking of paying for her therapy out of my own bank acc. i wonder what this woman is doing with her life. NO STARS FOR U.
I love the idea of this book. Not knowing their names and how they met. And I loved that it is an erotic novel. But it became too repetitive for me reading the same sex scenes from two pov’s. And the sexscenes every month were also somewhat the same. It became boring and I skipped the last pages So no more than 3 stars
This was a strange book. I read the entire story but not sure if I enjoyed it as much as I wanted to. It was weird to read a story where no one had a name. And reading each encounter twice wasn't really enjoyable by the end of the book. This is one of the few books that you've written that I am glad I didn't pay to read.
I’ve saved you the trouble of having to read this, honestly. However long the predicted reading time is, just half if and then know there’s not too much holding your attention. The POV switches each chapter and the only real change between the 2 is the ‘I said and ‘she said and a few details are elaborated.
No one has a name in this book and hardly any physical features are described. The women are lustful objects. I definitely buy into the fact they love each other because this is a pretty niche way to find a partner and someone who shares your sexual desires. I’ve read the ‘Fire series and gave most the books 5* so I know I can seriously enjoy Pyland’s writing but this is NOT it.
I have a habit of finishing a book even when it’s crappy but this was a test of my limits for sure. It’s decent if you’re trying to come up with a fantasy situation for your own life I suppose. In this sense it’s full of fun little hints. I’ve seen some comments to say this was a web serial or something before being turned into a novel and the previous version must’ve been better so maybe go in search or that instead.
I’m hesitant to try reading ‘voyeur now. Probably switch authors for a week before I give another Pyland erotica a go.
➬➱➫➩➪4 Stars This was my first book by Nicole Pyland. I picked it up due to the tags and was pleasantly surprised. This book was a dual POV book where there is overlap due to both of the characters telling an event from their own perspective. I got this off Kindle Unlimited. This book depicts a healthy, sometimes polyamorous and sometimes open relationship. If this is something you avoid, do not pick this up.
I enjoyed learning about the characters in the book through every interaction. I wish there was more information about them, but I understand why that is withheld. It is not the focus. Their sexual chemistry is what ties them together and is the basepoint for everything.
Given the uniqueness of this book, I think it was really well done and recommended to everyone who does not mind the tags. ➢Happy reading!
A sex club that meets monthly - just the thing for our 2 MCs. I'd use their names but what happens in the sex club stays in the sex club - and that includes their identities. We have someone who attends the club (MC1) and someone with a debt to pay off who works at the club (MC2). They meet up at the club - their 1st time of attending - and then every month afterwards. They become attached to each other and cross the member/guest boundary. They seem set on a HEA.
There is of course an epilogue - set 2 years later We still don't know their names
This book is written from a dual Point of View. Whilst this works well for some of it it is a bit repetitive. There is obviously a lot of sex in this book - it is varied and well written. You have to keep your wits about you to figure out and remember who everyone is when nobody has a name.
Enjoyed the book, and the story, wonder though if there really are such places - for the wealthy, as always which is the thing I dislike most about this genre, everyone is obscenely rich which leaves 99% of all people out and unable to express themselves fully.
I admit it was a bit tricky to think of these brilliant, beautiful women as thinking about nothing except their sexuality as that sort of seems to me to feed into a stereotype most women are trying to escape while being seen as serious, well rounded full participants in our nation. As escapism it's a good read, a bit odd with no one having a name and I do admit that by the end, I was skimming the second POV because of the repetition, only reading those parts which were not in the first POV segment.
After reading Voyeur I knew I had to delve into Nicole’s other work. She has such an interesting way of writing the stories of people in these worlds. I loved the fact we never got to learn either of the main characters names but they knew, it made the relationship between them feel even more special. I enjoy dual POVs in my books because I think you get a well rounded perspective from both characters but the way it was done in this just felt repetitive as it was the same scenes from different POVs so there wasn’t really any difference.
Nicole writes her smut in such a gripping way that makes you so curious throughout the book and this one was no different I would love to see more from her.
