Established polyam couple Nicholas and Clark have an open relationship, and Nicholas loves to explore his kinky side and his steamy urges with friends and boyfriends... Ethan, Nick's childhood "bestie", comes back into his life when he needs a friend or maybe something more... and Clark is wondering for the first time if Ethan is a part of his future too.
This is a fairly low angst, high steam story that features a variety of kinks including bondage, breath play, puppy play, daddy kink, ethical non-monogamy and many other kinky dynamics. There are M/M/M scenes and more. Beyond the kink, this is a sweet romance about being what all three guys needed from one another and having, and showing, compassion and strength in order to build a relationship that will work for all three of them.
This, for some reason, was not my favorite book in this series...I can't really put my finger on the "why" of it. I didn't have any problem with the topics...to each his own...and I have read books before with all the topics that this one contained...even books with those same topics by this same author. A friend suggested that perhaps there was just "too many" of them, thrown out all at the same time (??) Perhaps. At any rate, it's not a bad story by any means. Alex Silver always writes wonderful books. This one just left me feeling entirely over-whelmed. I loved Nick's "puppy side" along with his "shopping spree" and his attempt to cook dinner...but I especially loved the African Gray Parrot. That smart, sweet parrot and those scenes alone earned it a 4.5-star rating.

Stud Muffin was the perfect end to the Summer of Adventure, and while it can be read standalone, it does have a lot of cross-over with Book 5, Puppy Love and inhabits the same timeline as the other books. Thank you for arc read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Wow what a read, with the terrible choice the school made, because yeah let's just reward cheating in life or money does not equal great parenting.Ìý Ethan or Daddy really isn't the issue here was After the reunion this pup is trying and so wonderfully failing at hold his heart back, but Ethan is also worried how this will turn out.Ìý Oh the breathe play scene was hella hot, but that is nothing compared to the moment they all aligned into the
I was tickled that Nicolas reconnected with Ethan in an even better way then when they was younger. Clark is the bestest daddy ever.

Stud Muffin is the sixth book in the Summer of Adventures series. I definitely would recommend reading this series in order as there is crossover with previous characters from the series. It’s a MMM with puppy play. Nicholas and Clark are an established couple and poly. When Ethan, Nick’s childhood friend comes back, he wonders if they can have more. Low angst with lots of yummy steam and kink! Overall, a fantastic addition to the series. Well written with pacing that made it hard to put down!

There’s something deeply satisfying about a story that can weave together sweetness, heat, kink, and healthy emotional dynamics, and this one does exactly that. It works as a standalone, although readers who enjoy it might enjoy other books in the series as well. Overall, a really enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this story. It was full of so much emotion and I really enjoyed how the author handled the characters. This was such a great read that I didn’t want to put down.

Sweet, sexy, and relatively light considering this book is chock-full of subjects that could be fairly angsty topics.

I love it! Sweet and steamy, with spicy and funny bits. It definitely hit all my feels.
