This is a Clean Romantic Suspense. I loved parts of this book, but other parts of this book I did not love. I felt there was action just to have action, but it did not really get us anywhere. I felt the story did not really take shape until over half the book was done. I loved the ending, and I love getting to know these characters. I do not think there was really any romance in this book, and I kindof missed that in this story. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired Suspense) or author (Connie Queen) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

The action started in this book almost immediately and did not let up! The things these two main characters went through, the injuries that Chandler endured, made me wonder how they would ever get through the book alive!

Bristol was desperate to find her son and seemed to get close a few times, only to have the villain get the advantage time and again. I really felt for her. She and Chandler worked together well, however, they were sometimes at odds because Bristol was not willing to sit back while others tried to find her son.

This story moved very quickly for me as I read it. Before I knew it, I was halfway done with the book! I especially enjoyed seeing these two make more progress in uncovering who was behind the abduction towards the latter portion of the book. Bristol and Chandler developed a connection and admired each other, however, this story’s romantic thread gained traction right at the end of the novel, which made sense based on all they went through together.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Time is running out fast....

If you are looking for a fast-paced story that almost reads more like an action adventure and you can finish it in an afternoon, well, Tracking The Tiny Target just might be right up your alley. From a kidnapping to a years old mystery to corruption to a harrowing escape Yeah, Connie Queen really runs her characters through the wringer in this Love Inspired Suspense. But, that's what makes reading romantic suspense like this one so much fun! That, and a good dog in the story!

Tracking The Tiny Target is the 4th Connie Queen novel that I've read but certainly not the least. That good old Love Inspired Suspense drama and intrigue not to mention danger was present in spades in this book. There was a time or two I couldn't believe what was happening to the characters and I just had to rush to the next page and the next chapter to find out how they could possibly get out of their predicament.

I was kept guessing in Tracking The Tiny Target, some of my suspicions turned out to be spot on and some things came as a surprise. Connie Queen sure packed a few twists and turns into 220+ pages and I finished it in pretty short order. But, that didn't come as a surprise to me as I say there is nothing like a good Love Inspired Suspense to escape into on a rainy afternoon...

(I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Absolutely non-stop, heart-pounding action! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you like romantic suspense which takes your breath away, Tracking the Tiny Target is the book for you! Author Connie Queen has written an exciting book which starts with the kidnapping of little boy. His mother, Bristol Delaney, did everything she could get away from her ex-husband and protect her son. However, the child has been snatched from his daycare bus. Deputy sheriff Chandler Murphy and his K-9 Tucker are working to find the abductor. However, Bristol can’t wait for the authorities and goes forward searching for her child on her own, definitely causing tension with the handsome law officer who needs to protect her and solve the crime.

The suspense escalates on each page with dangerous car chases and bullets flying. It’s hard to figure out who the bad guys are and what the motive is for taking little Spencer. Even though the story takes place over only two days, the building of the couple’s romantic relationship is believable. The epilogue provides a perfect ending!

If you enjoy thrilling inspirational suspense, I highly recommend Tracking the Tiny Target by author Connie Queen.

Bristol and her son, Spencer have changed towns often, since she left her husband, Rex. With Rex out of the way for good, life in a new town seemed safe, that was until her world was turned upside down.

The story contains lots of danger, unknown answers, mystery, suspense, and lots of twists and turns you won't see coming. This gifted author never fails to deliver and this is one of her best. A very well-written story, with compelling characters that will hook you from the beginning. The ending was a surprise and wrapped everything up nicely. All the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and willingly choose to review it.

Tracking the Tiny Target has all of the elements that mystery lovers love: intriguing characters, both good and bad; puzzling clues to keep us guessing; and an ending that I didn't see coming. Author Connie Queen knows how to keep readers turning the pages!

But wait, there's an unexpected bonus in the help and support that Bristol Delaney gets from a deputy sheriff and his K-9 bloodhound. Chandler Murphy is one special guy and who wouldn't love a dog named Tucker? (My daddy's nickname was Tucker!). Watching these two work so hard to unite a little boy with his Mommy is especially heartwarming, and this partnership may be life-changing for all of them!

Tracking the Tiny Target is the perfect choice for anyone wanting thrills, chills, and clean romance! I recommend it to all who enjoy romantic Christian fiction.

I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

There’s no slow burn to action in author Connie Queen’s newest, Tracking the Tiny Target. We are hit with it right out of the gate, and I am here for it!
Divorced single-mom Bristol Delaney is frantic, immediately realizing the daycare bus accident was a way for her three year old son, Spencer, to be kidnapped. How were they found? She’s determined to find her boy, though…she can’t sit idly by and just wait.
Deputy Chandler Murphy realizes that it’s better to try and work with Bristol than leave her on her own to track down her son…and her extremely dangerous ex-husband. Chandler, Bristol, and Tucker (Chandler’s K-9 bloodhound partner) begin a journey that is emotional, intense, puzzling, and oh so perilous.
But the Lord is there with them, and as they work closely together to find Spencer, it seems the Lord might have His own plans for them along the way.
This story…truly, you just can’t put it down! Plus it has an epilogue! You know that’s the best!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.

WOW, this book grabbed my attention from the very first chapter and kept me intrigued throughout reading it. Bristol Delaney is a strong independent woman. She divorced the con man she was married to and is raising her 4yr old son on her own. She meets Deputy Chandler Murphy when her son is kidnapped and he is assigned to the case to find him. I really like how the pair worked together to find her son, even though there were "bumps in the road" due to someone wanting the investigation to end. The Romance that kindled between the 2 during the investigation was sweet. I LOVE that the story begins with them having qualms about one another, but they grew closer as they searched for Spencer. The pair also have a strong faith and the author does a great job at bringing faith into the book. I am a FAN of Love-Inspired Suspense books and this one did not disappoint. I HIGHLY recommend Tracking the Tiny Target by Connie Queen. FANTASTIC BOOK!

Bristol and Chandler start off suspicious of each other, and I loved how they interacted with the other. Their constant tension and Bristol's refusal to stand back and let Chandler do all the work toward finding Bristol's son continually pushed these two together and made them confront their initial opinions and delve deeper into the potential for feelings that seemed to come at them from every side. There's no end to the action, as it starts on the first page and carries all the way through. And that ending. Sweet doesn't begin to cover the way the author wrapped up this thrilling tale.

I received a e-book copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. And an honest review it is.

Okay, first off I have to say, overall I really did enjoy the book. BUT while the first 1/3rd of the book was pretty darn good and believable things just got unbelievable for the middle 1/3rd. But it fortunately redeemed itself for the end.

That said…I had the main bad guy pegged pretty much by chapter 2 even though the author tries to throw you off the trial with unbelievable coroner work and a stupidly accepting bunch of cops... The sloppy work done by crime investigators professionals in this book is a disservice to all crime scene investigators, on all levels. I don't care if it was a murdered prisoner or no. That is, of course, my personal view but, I don’t think what they did was any sort of standard procedure when a person is not visually identifiable.

My point is, if you are going to write a suspense novel related with any law enforcement person, do a tiny little bit of research so you don’t make these very mistakes in order to conveniently move your plot along as it does take away from the quality of the story.

The other thing that got me was how much the bad guy was hell bent on getting Bristol, poorly executed as most of his attempts were, despite having her son who she’s determined to reclaim and he should know it. Why not just lure her in? You know she will come for her son. Nope, instead he is chasing her down, literally getting into multiple car chases complete with a couple of instances of shooting at them, and he has prisoners and guards from a prison under his thumb, and gets a partner for another car chase complete with gun fight, etc??

Bristol is paired up by the author with Chandler, a K-9-unit cop who does search and rescue with his large bloodhound, who is the best trained dog ever, until it’s convenient for him to make noise…multiple times. I don’t know how, but for the first half, Bristol is more competent than the cop. She’s the one who finds the children first. She’s the one who picks up the trail when the dog loses the scent. She’s the one who finds out where the guy went after he kidnaps her kid. She’s the one who thinks of who to talk about her supposedly dead ex. She's the one who goes to talk to them while Chandler is off taking a very different approach. Chandler just conveniently shows up to that one a bit late in the game to save her bacon. I like me a competent heroine, but I also like me some competent officers of the law.

Anyhow when they team up things get unrealistic to the point I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Sure the car chases were mostly fine but things like Maybe starving wolves

Anyhow. Then there’s the fact that they just so happen to stumble right onto the property where their bad guys are hanging out. And the horse replicating her past experience, and the explosion, and the ravine and Chandler somehow being an idiot in a truck driving into it…after chasing after a galloping, terrified, runaway horse with it to start with Fortunately after these weird, over the top, series of events, the book settles back down into a more believe plot line. And while I found the epilogue to be a little hard to believe, just because all the events are tied up into a pretty bow within 1 year, I did appreciate the author having Chandler point out that they had only known each other for 48 hours, but he would like to get to know her better. The only thing that would have made it more perfect is if the epilogue was a two year later scenario. Then it would have been so believable I would have no argument.

Some weird/odd/cute turn of phrases I noticed while reading:

stepped into the saddle (p. 88 of e-book)
-didn’t cherish riding him again (about the horse, p. 90)
-nibbled on his food before lying on the floor (the bloodhound, p. 94)

Conclusion

If you can suspend your belief about animal behavior, and, like me, manage to suspend your belief on the sheer stupidity of a coroner...this is a decent suspense read. The plot is quite busy and not everything the author presents to you is resolved, mostly with Bristol's past, but all in all it was a decent read and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quick read for camping that is easy to put down BUT also easy to pick back up.

TRACKING THE TINY TARGET by Connie Queen is the fabulous story of Bristol Delaney, Spencer- her 3-year-old son, and Jarvis County sheriff deputy Chandler Murphy. A bus accident, the abduction of six young children and the determination to keep Bristol safe, all add up to Bristol, Chandler and Tucker a K-9 bloodhound - working together with two common goals avoiding being a casualty and finding Spencer.

Hearing about the bus that transports her son between the local preschool academy to the Tender Tots Daycare had been in an accident had already gotten Bristol’s adrenaline pumping and rushing to the scene. On arrival, finding out all the kids on the bus were abducted almost stopped her in her tracks. There was no way she was going to stand around behind some rope while a mad man is taking off with her son. She slips away and goes into the woods further down managing to find tracks of a man with a big foot and some little tracks. Pay dirt! She knows she’s on the right path. She comes upon the four girls, but there’s no sign of the two boys her son and his best friend. Hearing the tracking dogs coming, she knows she needs to pick up speed. When the other boy is found, her reasoning tells her there’s just one man that would have reason to take her son. HE’S FOUND US! After turning in the man that was her husband at the time for transporting drugs, she did what she had learned as a child quickly packed and moved. Didn’t take long to pack up her few belongings. Then tried to disappear in order to stay off his radar. After she’d left, she found out she was pregnant - with a child she was determined to shield from that monster. She had divorced him while he was in prison. Now desperation started to set in. If it is him, if he had gotten out of jail, if he found out he has a son, she needs to find Spencer now more than ever. He’s all she’s got!

Chandler has been stuck in time for five years. That’s when his dad disappeared. Hoping he’s alive, but knowing in his heart that if his dad was alive, he would have made it back home. Either way the family needs he needs to find him for closure. One of the cases his dad had worked on was for drugs connected to Rex, Bristol’s ex. While the fact that she had turned him in was suppose to be anonymous, the facts of the case were common knowledge about the office. In searching for his dad, he had tried repeatedly to find Bristol again to see if she had more information that would help him out. It wasn’t until he was working with Tucker, his K-9 bloodhound, tracking the abductor of the children involved in the bus accident that he was finally able to lay his eyes on her. Why would anyone wanted to take her son? And even if she did turn in Rex, how clean were her hands in the drug dealing? There’s no way he can allow her to go forward in this search by herself. He isn’t going to stand by and watch a civilian get hurt on his watch and have their blood on his hands. Plus, while being with her he may be able to find answers he’s been looking for.

Will working together allow them to learn about the true person the other one really is? Can Bristol see that not all men are cruel, demeaning and domineering? Will she finally be able to put down her guard around someone? Will Chandler find his proof that Bristol wasn’t involved in any way with the drug dealings her ex was involved in making it possible to trust her? As they get closer and the attempts on their lives get more lethal, can they stay out of the line of fire, find answers as to who this mad man is and find little Spencer? Or will each step leave them with more questions than answers? Dare Bristol open her heart again? By the time Chandler realizes how much he’s drawn to Bristol, will it be too late? How would Bristol ever survive without her precious son? When it appears that the person they are after is always two steps ahead of them, is it possible someone within the sheriff’s office is dirty?

TRACKING THE TINY TARGET is a fast-paced, adrenaline pumping story that will keep you quickly turning pages in this can’t put down book. While working through their individual pasts, Bristol and Chandler find that working together in a common goal of finding Spencer not only helps to heal the past, but may open them up to a possible future. Connie Queen gives us a story of healing, courage, determination, laying your life down for a loved one, danger, and sweet bloom of romance weaving it all with a thread of faith. TRACKING THE TINY TARGET is definitely FIVE STAR reading that I highly recommend to everyone!

I receive a copy of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own.

It begins with a parent’s worst nightmare: a school bus accident and a child being abducted by a madman.

Bristol is such a strong woman. To escape an abusive relationship to then live on the run, constantly looking over your shoulder, all to still have your young son be abducted by his insane father, a man that he has never met is unimaginable! She fights this whole novel to get her son back all while keeping a level head during this nightmare, which says a lot about her character and the immense strength she possesses!

Chandler, the deputy that aids Bristol throughout the novel, is another strong character that captured my heart. I liked that Chandler wasn’t a knight in shining armor type, but just a good man who is trying to do his job to the best of his ability, and living what he believes. He doesn’t take away from Bristol’s strength, but instead adds to it, which I loved seeing. Both Chandler and Bristol have faith that is not only shown in their actions but also as short prayers in their hearts.

I have to say, this has to be one of the most intense Love Inspired Suspense that I’ve ever read, and I loved every heart-pounding moment! The action kicks off right from the start and only intensifies as the story progresses. Some of the car chase scenes and attacks were pretty intense, and the fact that they are hunting for a child and kidnapper, while also being hunted themselves, makes the tension all the more suspenseful.

Though Tracking the Tiny Target is filled with strong characters and heart-stopping moments, some of my favorite scenes were the quiet strength that radiated from Tucker, Chandler’s bloodhound, that was right beside his handler giving aid and support throughout the story. Every time I saw his name, and read what he would do, my heart melted more and more.

I always enjoy a good Love Inspired Suspense, but this novel took it to a whole other level, and has to be my favorite in this series to date. The Bring the Children Home series has been wonderful so far, and I can’t wait to see where this series takes us next.

Tracking the Tiny Target
Bring the Children Home
By Connie Queen

Bristol Delaney hasn't stayed anyplace long, not since she left her ex-husband Rex behind. When her son is kidnapped, Bristol knows who is behind it. There is no doubt in her mind that the three years she's kept her son hidden away from her husband weren't enough. But she'll do anything within her power to get her son back, even if it puts her in the direct path of danger.

Deputy Sheriff Chandler Murphy is determined to bring Spencer home, and he will do his best to keep Bristol safe. But Chandler has more on his mind as he feels that Bristol's ex had something to do with his father's disappearance. But when the case takes an unexpected turn, Bristol and Chandler are left with more questions than answers as they search for clues as to Spencer's whereabouts.

Tracking the Tiny Target jumps right into the action, which sets the scene for everything that is to come. Now I understand Bristol's desire to find her son, but I also think she was a bit reckless in how she did it. If something happened to her, Spencer would have been in even more trouble.

Overall, this was a fairly good read, I will admit I preferred the second half of the book as the action seemed to be more productive and less random wheel-spinning. If you are at all familiar with Love Inspired Suspense, you know what to expect in general terms. But if this is new to you, let's just say there are no loose ends, and you are guaranteed a satisfying ending.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.

I really loved this book. It’s a fun quick suspense and romance novel. The book moved quickly and read just as fast. I really enjoyed getting to know Bristol and seeing how friendly and helpful Deputy Sheriff Chandler and his K9 companion are. I love dogs so of course I loved the one in this novel as well!

Some back story. Bristol has fled an abusive marriage after turning her husband in to the authorities for evil drug-related things he did. She finds out she’s pregnant after she leaves him; to her knowledge, he never knew!

Fast forward to when the book starts and Bristol’s son is kidnapped off his school bus. Other kids were taken too but in the end, he’s the only one the kidnapper holds onto. And she thinks it’s her husband. But fast forward and the prison he was in says he’s dead! But how can he be dead and have her son at the same time?!

This fast-paced novel will tell you how! Bristol gets herself in more trouble than she should because she doesn’t want to trust Chandler. But when she finally does things start to unravel and it moves really fast!

I hope you get the chance to read this novel. Let me know what you think of it after you do!

This story is a clean suspense story with a little romance towards the end.
Bristol Delaney divorced an abusive con artist and has made a home with her three year old. Even though her ex is in prison, she’s always looking back expecting to find trouble from the ex. When a bus carrying her boy with other kids is in an accident she rushes to the scene where she finds her boy missing and has been likely kidnapped.
Deputy Chandler Murphy and his search and rescue dog Tucker are on the scene and assigned to find the missing child.
As these two go in a wild chase , everyone wonders if Rex, the ex, is behind it and why.
At times I found the action overdone , especially when a civilian is allowed to be working so closely with the deputy. Also, as many times as Chandler was injured, he just seemed to recover too quickly.
The ending was a little rushed with the declarations made, and I am still trying to imagine a four year old racing on a horse.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Harlequin. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Tracking the Tiny Target is written by Connie Queen. The book starts out with a whole lot of action and suspense and does not let up throughout the entire book. Bristol Delaney has been on the run since helping put her ex husband in jail - then she gets a call that there was an accident with her son's day care van and she knows that he has to be behind it. Deputy sheriff Chandler Murphy and his K9 search and rescue partner, Tucker are brought in to help track the missing children.

Chandler believes that Bristol's ex is responsible for his father's disappearance. Bristol and Chandler do not tryst each other to start with. They both have had a lot of pain and baggage in their past. Both of their focus is to find Bristol's son. The author did such a great job with keeping you reading.

The book is well written, full of suspense and a great summer read. Thank you to the author, publisher and JustRead Publicity Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

Bristol three year old son is kidnapped and she will do everything she can to find her child. Deputy sheriff Chandler and his K-9 partner is on the case. Bristol is pretty sure she knows who is the kidnapper or at least know someone was tied to him and she is a mother will never let go of her child and will do everything she possibly can to help.

So this was a really good book. I enjoyed reading it. You can tell how much love and devotion Bristol has for her child she would do anything and everything to get him back. Even if that puts herself in danger. It was actually kind of meddlesome the fact that she was kind of like that instead of waiting for the police to do what they have to do. But it was still interesting seeing what length she would go through to find him. There was just so much mystery behind who was the one who had kidnapped her child and why. I just loved following along and seeing how the book played out overall it was really good I enjoyed it.

Tracking the Tiny Target was written by Connie Queen. This is a romantic suspense story with good, characters, an amazing K-9, and a interesting storyline. Please note the romantic connection was evident throughout the book but no steamy scenes were included.

Deputy Sheriff Chandler Murphy and his search-and-rescue K-9, Tucker reluctantly agree to work with Bristol Delaney to find her three year old son, Spencer, who has been kidnapped. Danger surrounds them as it becomes evident that someone is out to stop Bristol by any means necessary. Can Chandler and Bristol work together to stay alive, find Spencer and get their happily ever after? Read it and find out!

This was a great read. I look forward to reading more from Connie Queen. This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy received from Netgalley.

I thought this book was good. I liked the characters and I like how Chandler and Bristol had to let go of past experiences and learn to trust each other. I liked that Chandler was willing to let Bristol help him as they searched for her son. I also thought the story was well told and that you felt what Bristol was feeling as they tried to find who kidnapped her son. There were some surprises as the story progressed and we found out who was behind the kidnapping and why they did it. I liked that the dog was a main character and was there, not only to track, but also to offer comfort when needed. I thought that was a nice touch. Overall, I thought this was a very enjoyable romantic suspense.

Bristol Delaney has been lying low and rebuilding her life, when her past catches up to her in a nightmare that she can't wake up from when her drug dealing ex kidnaps her son, Spencer.

An action packed read with a lot going on, this was a hard one for me to read because of the subject matter and just how sick the bad guy was, like how horrible he was and how he used Bristol's child to hurt her. Chandler is a disciplined professional, with a dependable dog, Tucker, he is very diligent in his work, but I didn't quite buy him and Bristol as a meant to be couple.

Overall, this was a quick read, but not personally to my taste. I think that others would really enjoy it though, as there is plenty of action and a lot going on through out.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

3.5 - Rounded up to 4. Suspense - check! There was a lot of action, pages and pages. Bristol's son was stolen and she refuses to give up. I appreciated the strength and determination. The Sheriffs Deputy Chandler has his own level of determination based on his missing dad. His K9 Tracker always holds a soft spot! I knew immediately who the culprit was and it bothered me that the police didn't question it. The twist at the end was unexpected and appreciated. This is a Love Inspired Suspense book for me it felt light on faith, thought the silent prayers asking to keep her son save were spot on. Sadly the romance was even lighter. Thank you so much for the arc! I freely share my thoughts and opinions. #Trackingthetinytarget #conniequeen #loveinspiredsuspense #netgalley

A daycare van full of kids missing from a crash, a mother who will stop at nothing to get her son back, and a deputy with his K-9 is how this book starts out. From the very first page until the last, you will be on the edge of your seat wondering how it will all turn out. Will Bristol get her son back from the enemy who has been sent by her ex-husband who has been stabbed in prison? Will the deputy find his own answers from his father's disappearance? How will you know what happens if you don't read this book as soon as it hits the shelf? Order yours today from your favorite retailer to find out the answers. I love this authors books because of the nail biting suspense! I'm thankful to the publisher who sent me a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to leave a review.

This was a story about a women who left an abusive and criminal husband. She turned him in and now he's serving time. What she doesn't know is that he has escaped and is out for revenge. What better way than to kidnap his son. Not that he particularly wants his son. But that would be the best way to hurt his ex-wife. Enter a K-9 Sheriff Deputy. Parts of the story was believable. But it's hard to believe a deputy would let the child's mother go with him to check things out.

This was no edge of your seat book. But still an enjoyable read.

I was given this book by Love Inspired Suspense Publishing via Net/Galley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

Meet Bristol Delaney whose 3 year old son has been kidnapped and you know a mom and her kid. She's not going to give up no matter what. Enter into the picture, Deputy Sheriff Chandler Murphy with his K9 partner, Tucker to try and find a missing boy. Bristol and Chandler are thrown together and must work together to try and find Bristol's son and to stay alive. Someone doesn't want them to investigate. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think they are closing in on her son, something happens and the bad guys are a few steps ahead of them. Highly recommend! Great job Connie!
