Smutty Science Fiction; I am in Shareem Heaven!
This over the top Erotic adventure is the perfect steamy escape...

Shareem men created in the laboratories of DNAmo to be tall, tight-assed and long-cocked, and know every way to bring a woman to ecstasy and keep her there. For days.
The Tales of the Shareem Series continues with another highly erotic Science Fiction adventure! This time featuring Rio and a damsel in distress...

RIO
Level Three Shareem

I’m a level three Shareem, a Dom. I make women do things they’d never dream of doing. I make them beg for things they never knew they wanted.
I spank them when they’re bad and pleasure them when they’re good. I whip them ‘til they come, then I kiss away the hurt.
Rio has been attempting to flee the planet Bor Narga for years. Just when he has his chance of smuggling himself onto a ship, he finds himself face-to-face with an assassin bot & a choice: Save an innocent woman or flee the planet which views him as a sex slave...

NELLA
A Princess on the run

She was innocent. She’d never met anything like a Shareem, and she had no sexual experience. He had to go slowly.
Rio had never gone slowly in his life. The women who wanted Rio knew what they were getting themselves into. No woman picked a level three Shareem without already knowing about sex most of them were bored with sex and wanted something more.
Nella was captured and held prisoner for three months. She managed to escape her captor, and hopped transport after transport before landing on Bor Narga. Now she must trust the stranger who saved her from the assassin bot, but does she have any trust left?

For the Record: This book won't be winning any literary awards. It's not the best Erotica I've ever read... Hell, it's not even the best Alien Erotica I've ever read. It's campy at times, and completely over the top sexually. But you know what? I LOVE this series!

Judge if you want...

This story Features:
A BBW heroine,
a sassy computer,
drool worthy aliens,
voyeurism,
exhibitionism,
deflowering,
oral sex,
vaginal sex,
anal sex,
light bondage,
spanking,
whipping,
& MFM menage...

Nella is the princess from the planet Ariel. Kidnapped from her home planet, she has ended up in Bor Narga where she is saved by Rio. She has never heard of Shareems and she will only have sex with the man that she will marry.
Rio is a Level 3 Shareem, i.e. a tough Dom who loves whips and bondage and nice sweet subs. He also hates Bor Narga. On his way escaping this hateful planet, he has to help Nella. His opportunity to escape is gone and instead he gets a princess.
Rio is a character larger than life. Strong-willed, determined and tough but at the same time really vulnerable and scared. He was in love before and he was hurt.
Nella is the perfect woman for him. Rio is the one who tries to teach her to trust, but Nella is the one who will teach him that he can be loved and that he is worthy.
Of course the book is erotica, so don't expect anything less than good erotica.

I have this rule about not reading books in a series back to back, because experience has shown me that I usually get burned out. Despite that, this was the 3rd story in the Tales of the Shareem series that I read in a row. Why? Well, because rules are made to be broken, every rule has an exception, hope springs eternal and, bottom line, I never learn, LOL.

To be fair, this wasn't a bad story. I liked Rio and Nella and their love scenes were scorching hot, but I got kind of bored halfway through the book. I couldn't read another line explaining what a Shareem was, their different levels of kinkiness and the rules of their world. It got worse when Ms. James decided to recap Rylan and Maia's story. Gah! I had just finished their story, I didn't need to have it rehashed.

As for the plot, some inconsistencies in the world of the Shareem became more jarring in this book. Thinking back, the 1st book had them too, but I didn't notice them when I read it - probably because I was more engrossed in the story and didn't pay much attention to those pesky little details.

All things considered, I can't give this book more than 3 stars. If you've read the previous books, it's a must-read because Rio was an important secondary character in those books and you'll want to know his ultimate fate. Just skim through the repetitive descriptions of the Shareem and you'll be fine.

Better Than The First

RIO is the second book in the Tales of the Shareem series. It is the story of the Shareem Rio who is seeking a way to freedom by leaving the planet where the Shareem are treated as outcasts. On his way to freedom, he saves the life of Nella of Ariel who had been taken prisoner from another planet and is being hunted.

The Shareem are genetically engineered men who were created to be a type of sex slave. They were freed but are harassed and deprived of basic rights.

I really liked this book. Rio is sexy and yet sweeter than I had expected. Nella is plucky and strong. This book is definitely in the erotica category so potential readers should be prepared for the more graphic sex descriptions and the m/m/f in this book. I thought that this book did a great job of balancing the explicit sex with a serious romantic story between the main characters.

I have to say that I am totally in love with Allyson James and this series. Mostly because I'm a fan of this kind of liberated sexuality. The fact that they can see the sexual thrill in the moment. I am SO happy that I didn't have to wait forever for Rio's book, I could tell right off book one that Rio filled Allyson's brain as a writer because he shined out of all the characters in book one. I'm so glad that he didn't take a back seat to the characters that would be making up book two. Sometimes that happens. To introduce more characters you loose the one that book is about but honest, Allyson developed such a rich character with Rio that, that wasn't the case. Nella and Rio were both richly developed characters that drove the plot forward and we are getting an engaging read that world builds on a steady pace doesn't complicate the reader and gives us a dynamic, sexy romance with a sci-fi twist that lovers of the genre are sure to fall in love with.

Rio's story was a ton of fun. The whole idea of Shareem created to please is a fun and fascinating premise. All of the Sci-Fi elements in this series come together beautifully.

I also really like the fact that the female love interests in these books are smart and bad-ass in their own understated ways. They're clueless about sex (which is kind of rough to read) but they are courageous and adventurous.

This book was a fun read, and I will keep reading the series.

If you want sex, sex, and more sex, you won't be disappointed with Rio. A princess on the run from a man trying to recapture her and Rio meet when an assassin bot attempt to kill her. Rio was bred to give pleasure to women. He has to have sex at least five times a day or his body overheats. He teaches the princess how to trust and they are off and running with days filled with pleasure. Not a lot of plot to this book, but as I said lots of hot sex.

This series is a lot of fun and just a little naughty, again this one gives you exactly what you would expect from the book blurb. Hot men created in order to bring women sexual pleasure. This was enjoyable and as with the first book not too taxing which is what my brain is in need of right now. Fun and sexy.

I will state yet again that Shareem are very yummy and Rio was extra delicious.

Another 3.5 fun and sexy stars.

Aiden and Ky up next.

Rio, the Shareem who´s helped both Rees and Rylan, is meeting his destiny. Princess Nella is on the run from the man who kidnapped her to bond and become prince over Ariel. Killer bots have trapped her in an alley when Rio stumbles upon them and takes it out. Before the bot gets smashed it manages to send a poison dart at Nella and to save her Rio brings her to the doctor.

Let me just say I love this series. Reo is a great addition. This book follows Reo who we got glimpses of in Reese he was interested in escaping the plan t that holds him captive. His sole mission is to leave he no longer wants to be a second had citizen.
As he is getting ready to catch his transport off this planet an assassin bot attacks him. But as he finds out it wasn't offer him but the woman he saves. This is an amazing book must read.

It's Rio's turn to find his special someone. You know, by breaking the rules and falling for someone even though Shareem aren't supposed to have those sort of emotions. Pfft. Right. ALL the Shareem we've met might be able to control their emotions, but they're definitely brimming with them.

Which works well for Nella since she needs someone like Rio on her side. Not just because he knows what she wants, but also because he loves her for her. Not for her wealth or her status or anything like that.

By that same token, Nella SEES Rio and she likes everything she sees. They're a good foil for one another and they're DAMN SEXY finding themselves as they fall.

Shareem, man. They certainly know how to spice things up. In every way.

I liked Rio getting his happy ending. He tries to be all tough, but deep down wants what Rees has with Talan- someone to love him.
He meets Nalla when an assassin bot tries to kill her. He feels an instant connection to her and takes her to get help. She’s a princess of Ariel that was abducted by a man that tried to force the marriage bond. She escaped and found Rio. He teaches her to trust again and feel pleasure with lots of sexy times. He helps her get back home again.

This is one sexy book. I liked Nella, she did what she had to do and still stayed true to and followed her heart. I also liked Rio, so sexy, and funny, and protective. And when he cares about a woman (even before he realizes he loves her) he's willing to do anything for her, even ask a level one for advice. I would absolutely recommend it to those who like a book with lotsa sex with a dash of love mixed in. <3

Rio crouched beside Nella’s left knee, leather stretching over his thighs. He rested his hand on her leg. “You don’t need to be afraid of us. His hand was large and warm. A need to relax flowed through her, a need to trust, to put her fate in his so-strong hands.
“Yes, she does, Rees said softly.
“Pay no attention to the man with the large hard-on, Rio said.

Rio stroked Nella’s thigh again while he looked at her with eyes dark blue and unreadable. His lips quirked into a smile. “Damn, he said. “Did you all hear that? My girl’s a princess.

“You have the most beautiful smile, Rio said. His eyes had gone deeply blue, his irises spreading to blot out the white.
“You are putting thoughts into my head again.
“No, darlin. You’re putting them there all by yourself.
“You are making me want to obey you.
“Maybe giving you a little nudge.
Nella wet her lips, which were so dry for some reason. “What exactly would you want me to do?
Rio came closer, and she could smell the leather of his clothes, the musk of his body, feel the heat of his fingers before he even touched her. “Anything I can think of to make you do. His temperature seemed higher than that of a normal human, as she’d observed before. Humans were actually a little cooler on Bor Narga, she’d learned an adaptation against living in an extreme desert climate but Shareem skin was hot. Especially Rio’s, especially now.
“And if I refuse to obey? You punish me?
“Maybe. I’m not like some Doms, who reach for the whip every time their ladies disobey. He leaned to her, his voice velvet smooth, his breath hot spice. “Punishment is so much sweeter when it’s begged for.
Nella tried to draw a normal breath and couldn’t. She hadn’t felt normal since she woke up here. “I would never ask to be punished.
Beg, I said. And you will. He touched the swirl of hair above her ear. “You will, sweet darling. I guarantee it.

“How much will you change? Nella asked, uneasy.
“Oh, not too much. Enough so that your signature won’t match the bots programming. Outwardly, you’ll never know the difference. Unless, of course, you’d like me to make some modifications. She ran an eye up and down Nella, like a dress designer trying to decide where to put more pleats or frills.
Rio’s arms tightened around her. “Don’t you dare change a thing. She’s perfect the way she is.
Nella’s face heated. “Not really.
“You don’t believe me? Rio said, his voice taking on a dangerous note.
“You’re very flattering, she said.
His playfulness vanished. “Flattering? You mean I’m lying?
“I didn’t say that. I . . .
He confused her. All her life Nella had been taught to be banally polite, to have the correct remark for the correct person at the correct time, always. Everything she said to Rio seemed to provoke a reaction opposite of what she’d been taught to expect. But then, Rio was nothing like any male any human being Nella had ever met before. He did nothing as expected. Maybe that was part of his attraction his unpredictability.
Abruptly, Rio spun Nella around and lifted her over his shoulder. She squeaked in surprise as her world went upside down, too startled to do anything but gape at his tight, leather-clad buttocks. “You’re still having a problem with trust, he said. “One I’m going to have to cure.
Planting his hand on her backside, Rio hauled Nella out of the room, completely ignoring her shout of protest.

Rio dragged her to her feet and held her close, the chain between her wrists clinking. Rio tumbled her hair under his hands and kissed her face. “Mine, he said. “You’re all mine, Nella.
Nella nodded as he feathered kisses across her cheeks. “It’s what I wanted, she whispered. “What I truly wanted.

“Shit, Rio said, then he grinned. “Good thing I’ve got a great ass.
“It’s beautiful.
“Glad you like it.

I WASN'T SO SATISFIED WITH THIS ONE AND STILL PREFERRED TALAN AND REE'S STORY. AS MUCH AS RIO INTRIGUED ME IN THE FIRST BOOK, I WOULD HAVE PREFERED A DIFFERENT KIND OF HEROINE AND PLOT.

OUR HERO we met before is a level 3 sexual pleasure who specialises in dominance in the bedroom. He'll spank you, whip you and beg to be fucked repeatedly. That's what he is made for. 10 years ago his heart was broken by a wild child and I suppose that is why the author created a more timid and mousier heroine to put his heart back. He accidentally rescues her when she was running away from an assassin bot and from then onwards, they spend time together, with Rio dying to teach her to submit to him. Meeting Neela gives him the opportunity to gain his freedom.

OUR HEROINE is on the run from Assassin bots and from the man who kidnapped her to force their bond mate aka marriage. She is a Princess from another planet and also a virgin. She has never met a Shareem and is quite confused at first, especially when faced with such sexually alluring creatures.

OVERALL I wasn't so attentive to the RELATIONSHIP because I am not attracted to the heroine as a whole, AND I felt like their relationship was also too focused on the physical and there wasn't a lot to go for...it just felt too SUPERFICIAL to me.

So, a little scifi bdsm you say? Oh my yes, please.
Rio isn't the first book in this series from what I can tell. It certainly doesn't read like it, but it does stand alone quite well. I may have to do a little digging to see what else I can find and pick up the rest, because this was a fun steamy, albeit, short read (your reading time may vary, I read quickly).
The Shareem are genetically altered humans made to be the ultimate in women's pleasure. They were banned because they were so good at it, of course. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
Enter a princess from another planet. Not a weeping, scared, damsel in distress (though she is in distress), we've got a strong willed fem here, more than willing to save herself. Always good. However, one meeting with our dominant Rio and she's falling all over herself with lust. Not so good.
I don't mind instant lust, it doesn't bother me at all in fact, but for something like this, I prefer a bit more of a build. Of course, he's genetically designed to make it so he can't take her without her permission. Again a little *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*, especially when they start talking about the Shareem pheromones that make women hot and bothered.
Still, our main leads have chemistry, and the princess is a sweetie. You have to root for her, and then later Rio.
I enjoyed this, and like I said, I'll be doing some digging later to see if I'm missing some from this. It was a fun read. :)

"Rio" by Allyson James. Book 2 in the Tales of the Shareem series.

Another good addition to this sci-fi erotica romance series. Rio and Nella are two very different characters but are just right for each other.

As in the first book, there is a lot of sex, obviously, this being an erotica. Voyeurism, BDSM, m/f, m/f/m menage. No m/m (if that's what you're thinking). So if you don't like reading about this stuff, don't read this book.

Like the first book, the story line is pretty basic and when you take the sex stuff out, the characters of Rio and Nella are really quite emotional. Rio is a level three Shareem that wants nothing more than to leave the planet of Bor Narga because of all the restrictions on being a Shareem. Nella is a princess from another world called Ariel and someone is trying to kill her. When Rio discovers Nella dying, he won't let it happen. He's also instantly attracted to her. But a Shareem and a princess? Never going to happen. Plus Shareem can't love....can they?

Being an erotic novel, obviously the chemistry between Rio and Nella is explosive and sensual. Each of their characters are well fleshed out and enough background on each is given to have a good understanding of who each character really is.

I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next one.

Rio has finally secured a way to escape Bor Narga and is looking forward to a new start when he saves a girl from assassination and ends up tied up in her problems, missing his escape. The had a good bit of adventure and romance, but a few improbable moments that dragged it down a bit.

Rio, a level three Shareem, was on his way to get on a transport to get him off the rock,Bor Narga, but he saved Nella's life from an assassin bot. He doesn't regret it.
Nella is on the run for her life. She can trust no one except Rio who missed his way off planet to save her.
Rio is intrigued by his damsel in distress. And she needs his protection. Protecting her and teaching her is worth missing his transport, and maybe being stuck on this rock forever.
As Rio teaches Nella and gets to know her, he falls for her and she for him.
He doesn't think he is good enough for her but Nella plans on staying with him either on or off Bor Narga.

I enjoyed reading Rio. This series is very different from what I usually read but I love it. Rio was very exciting, HOT and sexy.

There are things that would normally send me running for the hills. Like , and sometimes sloppy copy editing. And yet it's compulsively readable.

I don't know that I care about the characters, not more than superficially at any rate. The story isn't long enough, or deep enough to allow for really connecting to the characters. But the world setting is intriguing, and let's be honest, the sex scenes are pretty smokin'. For what it is, it's quite entertaining, and sometimes that's all you need.

If a live sex toy, Dom/Sub, threesomes, and anal sex is your thing this is the book for you.

I don't really know how I feel about the story line, on the one hand I read this in a day but it wasn't because I was in the grips of the story I wanted to know where the author would take this. Now that I've read it I'm still undecided, so I think I'll read the next book and see if this gets better, cause I'm really ambivalent about live sex toy males, Dom/Sub, threesomes and yuck to anal sex....

I love me some Rio. This Shareem makes me laugh with with his humor and his ego. You care about him because he has such a big heart. For supposedly beings with no feelings, he feels a lot of different emotions. He's lucky to have friends who are trying to help him get off the planet when he is delayed by a female in serious trouble. This is an interesting story with love scenes that melt my Ereader, lol. Enjoy I did. This is a reread for me.

Ok, here's my problem. I love the story. Rio and Nella are sweet and vulnerable and I just wanna squeeze them. Then the sex happens and I just don't get the appeal. Whips and chains don't excite me. Though, to be fair, Rio seeems like a nice Dom (that's a thing, right?). I don't know. I'm gonna read the next one, but I have a feeling it will be the same way.

No other book got me this HOT and bothered before, my hormones (are they the green or blue ones?) were raging. My most favorite fantasies now are M/F/M, I didn`t know this until I started reading Tales of the Shareem :-)

I don`t know if the spanking would be a turn-on for me (never tried it), or the submissive talk, but definetely the bondage. HOT HOT HOT.

And I loved RIO!!

Okay.. 4 1/2 stars for Rio. I was kind of disappointed. I was really looking forward to his book, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. That doesn't mean I didn't LOVE it, I did. Maybe it was because I wasn't really feeling Nella..
