What if you could peek inside the journal of a skilled and powerful Wiccan and read all about her exciting forays into the Craft? What if that Witch was the ever-popular Silver RavenWolf?
Silver's own pearls of wisdom gained along the bumpy road to spiritual enlightenment can be found in A Witch's Notebook. This hands-on guide is designed to work from moon to moon-leading students through five months of spiritual advancement. In discussing cleansing, sacred symbols, renewed spirituality, and magickal ingredients, Silver urges Wiccans to step outside the usual confines of Witchcraft and explore other belief systems. This book also includes exercises, spells, and herbal information to assist in forging one's own unique spiritual path.

I love Silver Raven Wolf. She has lots of interesting and very different exercises and spells in this book. It is a bit more advanced than most of the other Wicca books that I have read.
This is a very good book for learning different techniques to enhance your magick. Though sometimes difficult and detailed, working through the excercises really does help add some oomph to your work.
Actually my first witchcraft book. I picked it up looking for practical meditation techniques- I was struggling with yogi, breathing-based ones. I have been having great success with the cleansing chapter, and look forward to investigating the traditions behind these practices.
Silver Ravenwolf has a lighthearted and playful way of sharing her magic and the book is filled with both simpler and more complex exercises to use in both your everyday life and for a spiritual purpose. She also shares valuable magical aspects of different herbs and how to use them.
This is definitely a great resource for the moderate to advanced witch. While there is some information to explain, a majority of this book relies on your previous knowledge on various subjects which is quite refreshing. You can read the basics millions of times in the various books available. Finding one that pulls from that knowledge and still teaches you something new is a feat few authors can achieve. Silver does an amazing job with this book.
It is laid out for each chapter to last a month. If you have followed along for her other books and done the work, it is similar but doesn’t take as long to work through.
If you’ve loved her other books, this will be a fantastic addition to your collection. If you don’t love her writing or witchcraft style, shockingly this won’t be for you. She can be a decisive author. Personally I’ve loved her works and will continue to buy her books. Others don’t love it, and that’s okay. She is more light hearted in her writing compared to other authors. This isn’t as teen oriented as some of her other books which is a plus for those who found that annoying.
I borrowed this book from a friend of mine who was also learning witchcraft as well as me. I never thought it would be quite hard. First things first to create your very own witch's notebook or basically diary/journal with anything to do with summoning(s) or anything to do with what materials to need. It's a very interesting book to read.
In all honesty it was quite long and boring but I found myself growing interest of it for every page. I read each and one carefully. Following the instructions.
Basically for those people that are into witchcraft or want to learn about it. Should go ahead and check this book out.
An amazing book for the pagan beginner. Perfect introduction to the craft and what it stands for, and how to begin practicing it, with introductions to easy spells and such. Only minus is that it feels like it is written only for an younger audience.
In my opinion, this book is an excellent resource to extend topics of interest for a book of shadows and openly explore other areas not associated to wicca.
