And interesting read being an account of several of the author's hunting trips to various parts of the world to collect trophies. I found the best parts of the book to be those chapters regarding his adventures in Africa. Other chapters include brown bear hunting in Alaska and another brown bear hunting trip to the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. The book wraps up with and account of an ibex hunting trip to Mongolia. In all I think the book could have been improved better quality images (probably more to do with the publisher's method of reproducing them) and more of them as well as with a bit more detail on the peoples and customs in the areas hunted, particularly the Russian and Mongolian trips.
This was a very well written book reminding me, at times, of some of the old time writers. I truly enjoyed the stories, as the author recounted his hunting adventures around the globe. I really enjoyed his stories of hunting in Kenya and wish those opportunities were still available. I can't wait to dive in to his second book and continue sharing in his adventures.
