Playwright and actor Bruce Norris of Steppenwolf Theatre Company fame presents a hilarious comedy in which an actor decides to end his career, burn his headshots and resumes, and become a serious furniture maker. A L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance Lucy Childs, Christopher Donahue, Kevin Hurley, D.W. Moffett, Amy Morton, Bruce Norris, Susan Nussbaum and William Petersen.
This play is funny but intense. An actor who has decided to retire because he’s not getting the kind of work he wants explains his decision and attitude. As someone who is grateful to work in public service every day I cannot relate to the idea that one’s own vision and art comes above all else.
