Awesome resource that every Christian married couple should read! This is one you'll keep to grow on, it's given me and my dh a slew of great topics to explore together!
I loved this book and will be buying a copy of my own. The author is a homeschooling mother whose children are now in high school. She became pregnant with her first child while in high school. She is very honest about her experiences and it is so refreshing to see another mom admit her failures and have grace in speaking about them. There was a lot I could relate to!
This book explains why my generation (those born between 1960 and 1980) parent the way they do. We are among the latch-key generation and typically our parents were very hands-off. This has made us very hands-on.
I found it so interesting to go back through the generations and read how each impacted the subsequent one.
The format is one that you can "flip through" and each chapter delves into a different parenting issue. Lots of great scripture and quotes; I dog-eared quite a few pages:(
Great book for gen xers. Has 80's lyrics and is just a fun book to read. Very helpful to understand the culture in which you were raised and the culture of today.
