DNF@25% - Tl:dr, the story is stretched for too long without a good cause, the female lead is absurd and it feels that she is forced by the author to be dumb to her surroundings

I liked the story at first, it seems to follow the plotline of similar Korean Manhwa(s) or Chinese Manhua(s), The presentation was good, everything was going great,

All of this feels so forced, the insecurity, the doubts

It was hard to continue reading because of the same trope playing again and again. I guess this is it from my side

My Rating-⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Review-

First of all this book broke the record of the lengthiest book I read with 800+ pages is quite an achievement for me. So before expressing my feelings on this book , I first congratulate this new author for writing such a lengthy book in a unique and engaging way that can never make the readers bored with the story going on.

As the title itself speaks , the main protagonist of this book Riya Shekhawat becomes the Alternative Bride of her sister Neha Shekhawat's marriage who was supposed to marry a successful businessman Sidharth Roy but eloped with another man. In order to protect the family's honour and her dominating father's blackmail she doesn't have any other choice than to become an Alternative Bride with a one year marriage contract with Sidharth Roy.

Will she be able to live with a man who is a complete stranger to her and a man whom her sister loves? Will Sidharth accept her as his wife? Will this marriage be successful or it'll just be a contract marriage and break after a year?? With so many questions in my mind I continued reading this book which left me mesmerised with the story.

Without giving away much spoilers, I can say this is one of the best and unique books in the Romance genre that I've read so far. Author had created very strong main characters and also very strong villains. When I started reading this book I thought it'll be some normal Romance book where fate turns to an emotionally weak and beautiful lady by meeting her hero and he saves her. But I was completely wrong. I've never seen such a strong character like Riya who saves herself and also her hero from evil. R.A.M defines her perfectly, if you want to know what it means you should definitely read the book.

Sidharth also starts to love her due to her bold, strong and pure soul which makes anyone fall for her and he leaves no stone to make her feel so special. But some dark secrets are stopping Riya from accepting Sidharth's love despite her feelings for him. What are those dark secrets? Will their love perish? Like this there will be a lot of questions that'll hang in readers mind and the author had left no stone unturned to make the readers hooked with the twists and turns in this book.

This book is a perfect blend of love, suspense, adventures, friendship, fun romance, relationships, sentiments, hurt, struggles, emotions, twists, turns, revenge and a lot more which makes this lengthy book an entertaining and worthy read for me. I was completely in love with the emotional attachment between different characters and obviously the love between Riya and Sidharth is special for me. This story is something that I always adore and stays in my heart forever. With the Dual POV of Sidharth and Riya we can find it easy to know their feelings and the writing style and language used is quite simple which makes the readers go through the flow of emotions and thrill.

I still have so much to share but words will fall short for describing such an amazing story and strong characters of this book so I highly recommend you read this book and find out what more this book can make you feel. Happy Reading 😊❤️

🦋 Riya Shekhawat became the Alternative bride of Siddharth Roy when her sister Neha Shekhawat runs away from the wedding and comes back married to Jayant.
🦋 Riya doesn't want to marry a stranger but her father Veer Shekhawat does not give her a choice.
🦋 Siddharth on the other hand is furious and doesn't want to marry Riya. But due to his family's reputation agrees to the marriage.
🦋 Riya has a lot of secrets hidden, she cannot trust anyone easily. Being the CEO of Glamour (her fashion company ) she craves love.

What are Riya's secrects ? Will Siddharth accept Riya after knowing her secrets? Will Riya find the love she craves for?

This is a debut book by @M.s.Bhatia written fabulously. The writing style is simple and the multiple pov's make it enjoyable. The twists and turns keep you engrossed in the story. Riya is no doubt a Diamond in the story, strong, brave, loving, intelligent, and compassionate. I so love the way she takes her revenge on people who have tortured her. Siddharth on the other hand is cute and funny. I enjoyed his possessiveness and how he gets irritated every time someone interrupts him while romancing his wife. All the supporting characters are well crafted. The epilogue is the cherry on the cake. Though the book was lengthy I loved every bit of it. The chemistry is not steaming hot, yet enjoyable and sweet to read. Oh, how can I forget the adorable nicknames given to the characters? Looks like Jaan has become my favorite nickname. Highly recommended for all romance lovers.

The Alternative Bride by Ms. Bhatia.
It is not a love story, it's a saga of love, friendship, family, and relationships.
Riya doesn't need an introduction, she has made her life on her own and achieved success with her hard work, yet she agrees to become an alternative bride to save her family's reputation.
Siddharth is strong, mature with an enigmatic yet understanding personality, and has made a name in the business world. He is powerful and doesn't lake confidence, yet he also agrees to this proposition because of his family.
This is what starts this love saga, that begins from strangers to friendship to love to foreverness.
The story has lots of twists and turns, and it is not just about the couple but also family and friends. Diya, Jiya, Manav, and Dev, to name a few, become an integral part of the story. The author has penned beautifully about family and friends that change over time and value Riya.
This story is more about Riya, and Siddharth supports her throughout her journey to grow and fight her demons.
Overall, a beautiful debut by Ms. Bhatia. Keep writing!

"The Alternative Bride" by Ms. Bhatia is a must-read romance featuring two complex and spirited characters, Riya and Siddharth {Will be referring to him as Sid ;)}. Their unconventional love story kept me hooked from the very first page to the last.❤️

The plot follows Riya, a fierce heroine, who is forced to marry Sid, a stern billionaire. Though their marriage begins with resentment, it transforms into a passionately devoted romance as they learn to see and appreciate each other's true selves.

Despite its length, the story gripped me at every turn. I loved seeing how Riya's spirited nature awakened passion in work-focused Sid, and how Sid's loyalty and commitment ultimately earned Riya's devoted love. Their fiercely intense bond, born from a forced arrangement, shows how sacrifice, understanding and a willingness to be truly seen can transform any relationship. Great job by Ms.Bhatia here.

The complex characters of Riya and Sid, so well matched in iron will and temperament, make for an especially intriguing and emotionally rich romance. I would highly recommend this story to any fans of unconventional romances featuring strong yet vulnerable characters who must overcome adversity together.

The Alternative Bride swept me away from the very first page, and I know it will do the same for readers looking for a romance that breaks the mold in all the best ways. Ms. Bhatia tells Riya and Sid's passionate love story with depth, warmth and flair, crafting a memorable and utterly gripping tale of alternative love.

Even though I should be hating Neha but your writing didn't let me. 💜

Not a reviewer but tried the best I could without giving away spoilers.

PS~ Will Manav be getting his own book ?

I've been reading many novella and romance stories. But this is it!!!!! For Me. I'm an avid romance genre reader. I'm completely hooked.
The characters in this wonderful story are more than real and every shade of every character defined so deep that it really gives you goosebumps after reading them. A connection that is established one cannot find anywhere. It is remarkably strong witty emotional strategic and Humorous at the same time. A Very meaningful relationships and the worth of true ethereal Love Respect trust and support is Very well portrayed in your commendable Writing. Dear Author, You divide protagonist Riya in her 3 parts and each part outdid the other. A same person but distinct personality at different situations how time demands. It's not just story telling or selling a story. You portrayed the meaningful depiction of every aspect of life This book kept me glued till the end and I read it in one go. It was completely mesmerizing. I'm genuinely connected to the Characters. Its a hidden gem. You created a strongest character that too a women, where you made her Alpha Queen of Sidhharth Roy and he's the Astute Alpha King of the Story. The Friends and cousins gang especially the role of Manav and Dev was worth every cent. Truly Fantastic. For me it's Netflix worthy, but still This Alternative Bride 👰 book will always be at the top. Dear Author , I definitely liked it a lot which give me a another perception of love and that stands against all odds, comes to you when you least expected and bound you even after death makes you apart. You made it so deep that I'm inspired by Riya. I admire it. For me This is exceptional.

"The Alternative Bride" by Ms. Bhatia is a contemporary romance novel that offers a refreshing take on the genre. The story follows Ria Shekhawat, a Glamour Queen who is forced to become the Alternative Bride for Siddharth Roy after her sister's elopement. As the two are thrown together in a marriage of convenience, their fates become intertwined, and the novel explores the slow-burning romance that develops between them.

The character of Ria is a standout in the novel. She is fierce and sassy, yet behind her bold exterior lies a world of secrets and pain. Her relationship with her father and the traumatic events of her past have left her running from love and believing she doesn't deserve it. It's a journey of self-discovery that readers will find themselves invested in as Ria learns to confront her past and embrace her feelings for Siddharth.

Siddharth is a well-crafted character, stern and focused, with a no-nonsense attitude that initially makes him a challenging match for Ria. But as the story progresses, we see his walls start to crumble, and we witness a softer side to him that makes him a perfect match for Ria.

The secondary characters are also well-drawn, especially Ria's found family, including Manav Raheja, who offers a much-needed support system for Ria. The Roy family's dynamics are also intriguing to follow as we see them slowly warm up to Ria, and she starts to find her place among them.

The only downside to the book is that at times, the number of characters can be overwhelming, but the story is well-paced and keeps the reader engaged throughout. Overall, "The Alternative Bride" is a well-written romance novel that offers an engaging storyline, complex characters, and a satisfying ending that will leave readers feeling fulfilled. If you're a fan of contemporary romance, this book is definitely worth adding to your reading list.

What happens when the bride-to-be marries someone else the night before? Her sister, Riya (h), has to marry the groom, Sidharth (H). And the journey begins with fights, respect, friendship, which then turns into love. Riya is surely the diamond of this book, and Sidharth is right beside her. This book has everything you could expect, including their love for each other, amazing cousins, fantastic friendship, supportive family, and even villains. It was a beautiful ride. I absolutely loved the Epilogue.
P.S. Can we have books for Adi and Siya?

The Alternative Bride
By: Ms. Bhatia
Length: 832 pages (Kindle edition)
.
"Our family makes life worth living. This is peace. This is heaven."
.
On the wedding day, chaos erupts as the bride, Neha Shekhawat, arrives home married to another man, confronting the situation bravely. However, the repercussions fall upon her caring sister, Riya Shekhawat. To salvage family honor, Riya steps in, marrying Neha's intended groom. This tale narrates the journey of two hearts: one shattered by life's struggles, the other struggling with trust. Amidst unconditional love, heartache, and the passion of a billionaire couple, it unfolds a poignant narrative.
.
The narrative centers on Riya, the influential figure behind the fashion empire "Glamour," where her team feels like an extended family. Despite enduring hostility from her father and elder sister, Riya forges her path from the ground up, fostering relationships and expanding her circle to include those dear to her.
Siddharth, our protagonist, holds the title of the nation's most sought-after bachelor. He embodies strength, loyalty, and deep devotion to his family. Above all, he cherishes his wife, offering her profound love, undivided attention, and abundant care, exemplifying the essence of true love.
.
This novel goes beyond the typical romance genre, offering much more depth. It commences by swiftly introducing key characters, captivating readers from start to finish. While maintaining a good pace, the novel delves deeply into every aspect, resulting in lengthy chapters occasionally bordering on monotony.

The language used isn't extravagant; rather, it's straightforward and easy to comprehend. Characters are well-developed, with Riya standing out as powerful, albeit somewhat exaggerated. The romantic elements evoke a sense of fluttering emotions, skillfully portrayed by the author.

The book's cover is visually appealing, and its title fitting and suggestive. Engaging twists and numerous heartwarming moments pepper the storyline. The book is filled with 'aww, so cute' moments. And Siddharth indeed has raised the bar. I would like to quote Taylor Swift- "In the world of boys he's a Gentleman." The love element is intricately weaved in the novel and it's touching. The author's splendid narrative craftsmanship deserves applause for creating this literary gem.

Though a substantial read, it's undeniably a worthwhile investment of time. A recommendation for readers seeking an engaging experience.
.
"I can't thank her enough for coming into my life as 'The Alternative Bride' and becoming my life itself. "

📚📚 Review 📚📚

Book : The Alternative Bride
Author : Ms. Bhatia
Format : Kindle Edition
Pages : 832

This story was one of my longest reads ever, but the twists and new revelations in each chapter kept the story interesting.
Riya Shekhawat, the female lead, was the soul of this story; she was fearless, powerful, protective, the perfect combination of beauty with brains, and the owner of Glamour Fashions. She was a self-made woman who had faced cruelty throughout her life but still made sure to achieve her goals.

She was dangerous and ruthless for her enemies, but an angel for her near and dear ones.

Such a strong woman who had built her own empire was left with no choice but to marry Siddharth Roy, the person who was supposed to marry her elder sister.

Siddharth was a powerful name in the business world; he could get anything he desired but couldn't change what destiny had planned for him. He was angry with the events that took place in his life, but he soon got to know the real faces of the people who were responsible for humiliating his family, and he fell hard for his wife Riya, but she had her own demons to fight; her past was painful, and Siddharth was the medicine she needed to heal her hidden bruises.

It was a story of rebuilding relationships by standing with each other at any given time and holding each other without any expectations, as each knew that even if they failed, they had each other for eternity.

It was a beautiful roller coaster ride and an emotional journey for Riya and Siddharth.
I felt the chapters were a bit lengthy, but hats off to the author for adding many twists that kept the story intriguing.

The author had described each character with so much depth and clarity.

Riya's fight with her own blood relatives, her inner turmoils, and her growing love for Siddharth were all described with palpable descriptions, and all those made this book a beautiful read.

I personally liked Manav's character a lot; his aura was something else, his daughter Mishri was cute, and I loved the chapter that focused specifically on her.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this beautiful story.

All the best for all your future books ❤️

A well written long story.

Book Title: The Alternate Bride
Author: MS Bhatia
Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars
Format: Kindle
Pages: 845

Reading book from MS Bhatia for the first time.

The story revolves around Riya the queen of fashion house Glamour for whom everyone working with her is a part of her family. Riya has gone through a hell of a life where her father and elder sister absolutely hate her for anything and everything. She builds herself from scratch and climbs the ladder up while making connections and adding people to her family.

Siddharth, our hero is the most eligible bachelor of the country. He is fierce, loyal, loving towards his family and loves his wife the most and shows her true meaning of love and Pampers her with all his attention, love and care.

Riya's elder sister Neha was supposed to get married to Siddharth but last moment changes makes Riya and Siddharth to marry. This turns out to be the best decision of both.

Life throws Riya a lot of problems but Riya is determined and supported to get over them with help of Siddharth and her gang.

The gang loves Riya to the core and finally Riya is able to take revenge on all the people who have hurted her and her loved ones.

Okay, the writing style of author os very simple and clear. The heart to heart conversation of Siddharth and Riya are amazing.

I loved all the characters from the gang especially Veena who understands Riya without her saying a word and stands by her in all the situations.

Siddharth is penned very supportive, handsome who has eyes for only Riya, the total lover boy only for Riya but a shrewd businessman for the world.

Yes, the book is too long, but overall a good read. It has clean romance.

"The Alternative Bride" by Ms. Bhatia is an engaging contemporary romance novel that follows the story of Ria Shekhawat, a Glamour Queen who is forced to become the Alternative Bride for Siddharth Roy after her elder sister elopes with another man. The book is voluminous and at times the number of characters can be overwhelming, but the story is well-crafted and keeps the reader hooked.

The highlight of the book is Ria, a fierce and down-to-earth character who is constantly haunted by her past and her relationship with her father. Despite being the kindest soul around, Ria runs from love as if she doesn’t deserve it. Her found family, especially Manav Raheja, is also a highlight of the book, and it's interesting to see Ria slowly finding her place in the Roy family.

Siddharth, on the other hand, is a stern and focused character who is initially betrothed to Ria's sister, Neha. However, when Neha elopes with another man, Siddharth is forced to marry Ria to save the family's face. The relationship between Ria and Siddharth slowly blooms, but it remains to be seen whether Siddharth will accept Ria with her past or go back to Neha once the arrangement with Jayant ends.

Overall, "The Alternative Bride" is a well-written read that explores themes of love, family, and the past. Although there are some details that could have been skipped, the book is best read in parts and keeps the reader engaged until the very end. If you enjoy contemporary romance novels with complex characters and compelling storylines, then "The Alternative Bride" is definitely worth checking out.

Book Review:
How did you feel when you came to attend a marriage and became the bride?
The alternate bride follows the story of Riya Shekhawat, who became the alternate bride when her sister appeared at her wedding, already married.
Siddharth, the poor groom, was furious with the life decision taken by the elders of the family to marry an unknown girl.
Riya and Siddharth both felt trapped in a relationship that was new and hard to follow.
Riya was a strong, confident working girl running her business in full swing. However, many secrets were hidden in her life, and she was afraid to trust anybody soon.
How will Siddharth and Riya deal with this new relationship situation?
We loved Riya's character; she was a compassionate, intelligent, and self-confident woman who refused to accept no-nonsense but knew when to be calm and handle things.
Siddharth's care and love for Riya melt my heart away. However, we sometimes feel bad for him when his feelings are not reciprocated.
The supporting characters, like Manav, Dev, and Veena, are also adorable and play an important role in the story.
The writing and narration are simple, and many POVs sometimes stretch the story by repeating dialogues.
Though it's 800 pages long book, it's worth reading as we enjoyed every bit of it. We will recommend this book to all romance readers. And congratulate the author for her fantastic debut author.

No matter how much we try to fight against it, if there is something that is bound to happen, then there is nothing that can stop it from happening.

This is why fate is always known to play a part when we least expect it as it will leave us with aftermath that no one could imagine, or the events no one could have anticipated.

The Alternative Bride by author Ms. Bhatia, a captivating novel that tells the story of our main protagonist named Riya Shekhawat, and her sister Neha Shekhawat.

The entire life of Riya is turned upside down when she becomes an alternative bride when her sister runs away from her wedding.

The author, with her exceptional writing skills, takes readers on a journey of self-discovery, love, and trust.

Riya, the heroine, is a strong and independent woman who is forced to marry Siddharth Roy, a man she hardly knows, due to her father's insistence.

The author skillfully develops the characters of Riya and Siddharth, showing the tension and conflict in their relationship, and the challenges they face in adjusting to each other's lives.

The book has a niche for keeping you hooked. The cover is really an intriguing one that makes the reader ponder over what the story is about.

A must-read book, without a second thought, pick up this book and you won't regret it.

This book had me love an entire roller coaster of emotions that I never knew I was capable of experiencing! From the very first chapter the author had me hooked to what is going to happen next!
For somebody who has been reading such tropes only on Wattpad, to see someone write similar content in such a sophisticated manner was real treat to indulge in!

Rita is such a headstrong woman 😎 that my admiration for her just kept increasing chapter after chapter! The way she was always prepared and never shows her weakness to anyone but Siddharth! If that is not something cute then I don’t know what is!
The way Siddharth and his ENITIRE family cherishes and adores Riya as if she were a porcelain doll 🥺🥺♥️♥️♥️✨✨🫶🏻🫶🏻 is what raised my standards right off the roof man!

If you are looking for a book that doesn’t have the regular cliché plot but one that has you anticipating every move of the fmc and swoon over the mmc this book should be your one stop!

I absolutely adore this book and would definitely go on re-read for sure!!😘😘🥵🥵🤌🏻🤌🏻

Initially the story started beautifully but the main character created by the author was unrealistic and the extreme love and hatred for her from various characters which made the character hard to imagine. The plot being good is dragged with so many overly dramatic incidents that the reader loses interest after reading a few pages of the book.
The good and bad intentions of various characters dont justify the plot and the characters are so many that the reader would lose interest in trying to understand so much dialogue from various characters.
The ending was overly dramatic again but did not end at that. The story got dragged on for an hour more with insignificant incidents and unending dialogues and chessy exchanges between the couple. I wouldn't recommend this book at all!!!!

So this was different . A alpha that's so weak he's more a passive man then a unwittingly bully .I'd say he wasn't mate material ... For anyone. His drive is mostly his own protection ,the pack and a horde of other things before mate even crosses his mind ,but.
We wasted over half the book on this couple to not be a couple but it was ok in a weird sense for her yo grow into the powerful minded wolf she was .And to find family that loved her for herself and not her blood or rank . . just felt half wasted because she ends up with someone else and rightly so .He alpha could not put his mate first and if you don't or can't protect your mate then you aren't strong enough to.lead a emotionally well pack .

Good read

Good book, but it was very wordy. The storyline was really good. I liked all the characters, but there were so many many of them that it got confusing. I'm sure it's because the story takes place in India. I did love learning about the culture in this book. Having some of the book in another language was difficult to it made the book even longer. Them calling everyone their mom and pa was confusing too. But again it's a culture thing. Over all I would recommend this book. The story is so unique.
