Thank you so much for answering my question. I was absolutely amazed by the book. Your bio brought home to me how close to reality this story could be. My 88 year old mom is reading the book now,and it is blowing her away too.
Thank you, Linda. I am so pleased you appreciated The Enchanted. I have heard that prisons in Canada are much different than those here…and our prisons do vary widely in their conditions. Thank you for passing on The Enchanted.
There's an old saying ... "Write what you know." While I was reading your novel a part of me wondered if you had worked or work in the field because you wrote The Enchanted with such depth and feeling. So I did a little bio check and saw that you do work in the field and wasn't surprised. But I have to say Ms. Denfeld, your turn of a phrase is magical. It's been a long time since I've been so distracted by a book! It really got inside my head!
