These time travel eBooks (mainly in the public domain I believe) are always available from Feedbooks for free:

Most of the other books listed under this topic are free for a limited time only. So get them while they're hot!

Spencer Brokaw Hello everyone! I am Spencer Brokaw. I am new to this group and I would love to share my Time Travel Ebook with you. I am 12, and I published my book this year. I am very happy with the responses I've gotten. It is called The Impenetrable Spy. It follows Zack Carter, a newly recruited CIA spy who creates a Time Machine. He has to take down terrorist scumbag Wang Bo( China's fictional leader), who's terrorist group has found a statue that can make your worst fears come alive. Zack has to obtain the statue before it is gifted to the president by Wang Bo. I hope you read it, and if you do please let me know what you think!

It is available on Kindle, Smashwords, nook, and iBooks.

John Wow, this might be worth a nomination next month for our book club selection. Just the fact that Spencer is 12 years old is enough to make me want to check out his book. My son is 12, and I would love to inspire him to do some writing of his own.

message 4: by Amy (new)

Amy Thank you so much, Spencer, for sharing your book with us. , I sent it directly to my Kindle. I look forward to reading it. More of us should have finished the book we started writing at age 10. I'm glad that you did. What a wonderful opportunity you have with the publishing world being as open as it is now.

John, I think you read my mind. I was thinking seriously of having our next book club selection be a selection from a GoodReads author. I already started a list for us to peruse. We'll have to give this one a nomination for sure.

message 5: by Spencer (new)

Spencer Brokaw Why thank you! I started writing at ten, and then took a long break. So, when I revisited, the writing had improved a lot. And if you wanted to read it as a bookclub, I would love to give you the coupon code to download it for free. Thank you so much for buying it, that mean a lot. I've gotten good reviews from people who are reading it, so I hope you like it. As I said, from chapter 5 on it gets really good in my opinion :)

I enjoyed your book, Island of Secrets. It's a great time travel gothic romance/mystery. I found the transitions a little confusing at times since the supporting characters were so similar in both time periods. But I enjoyed the book so much that I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Great story with lots of twists and turns to keep you glued to the pages.

Hi Tammie, your book is also available in UK as an e-book for only £0.86p. I just purchased and look forward to reading it :) It might well make it my next read after I finish Up The Line.

message 11: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Gibbs Hi Laura! Thank You so much for reading my book. I am thrilled that you enjoyed it and it kept the pages turning. I understand your comments. It has a LOT going on and I can see how it might be confusing at times. It is different, but I kinda wanted it to be. I didn't want anyone to be able to "figure it out" at the beginning. I don't like when I know what's coming. Thanks!

message 12: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Gibbs Hi Tej! Thanks! I am so excited to have a UK reader. Maybe if you like it you can help me spread the word over there. :)

Cliff Ball My time travel novella is Out of Time, $.99 on Smashwords, B&N, and Amazon.

A scientist discovers time is actually fluid; past, present, and future all exist at the same time. What he doesn't know, is if the current timeline can change when something is changed in the past. The US government wants him to find out. The theme being to make right what once went wrong. The time travelers meet all sorts of 20th century characters, but, someone is trying to stop them. Once they return to their present, things may not be what they appear.

Paul Jones The Eli Event by Dave Gash is free on Amazon as of today (4-9-12). Sounds quite interesting.

LOS ANGELES VAPORIZED9 MILLION DIE!

2015: Los Angeles is destroyed in the ELI Event, a space-weapon catastrophe that leads to a bleak and brutal distant future for all but the privileged few—unless rogue time-travelers from the twenty-fourth century can prevent the tragedy and mend the timeline. In an attempt to protect humanity from itself, the sentient computer ELI steals the weapon’s code, but unwittingly makes his only friend, fifteen-year-old Robin Kirkland, a suspect in the sabotage and the target of a military manhunt. ELI’s creators, scientists Stephen Wheeler and Kelly Duncan, find a mysterious ally in Arty, a mere janitor sent from the near future to prevent the ELI Event and change history. But there is another, anonymous player: ruthless Vice Governor Lokus has also jumped upstream to stop them and thus leave his elite and entitled future world unchanged. The race is on—not just to save present-day Los Angeles, but to alter the future of mankind and its machines forever.

Amy I'm going to have to recommend Paul's book, Towards Yesterday, which is ridiculously cheap at $2.99.

Think FlashForward except in the other direction. Everyone in the world spontaneously finds themselves living 25 years in their own past. Definitely one of the most interesting books I've read in the last year. It's sure to keep you turning pages. I'd love to see it as one of our monthly reads some time.

I'd just like to say that as part of a one off promotion I am offering my book The Time Hunters for the grand sum of zilch.

I hope you will take a look!

message 25: by John (new)

John Carl. Is there a way to verify that I have the revised edition of TH1? I think I got it, but I'm not sure. Is there an indication on the title page or publishing info page?

message 26: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore Hi John

There are now 34 chapters to it. If that's what it says on the copy then you have the new, revised version.

:) Thanks for your support.

Amazon.com Blurb: "Rzzdik Zolan is a time traveler from a planet 1,000 light years from Earth. He had been assigned to Earth as an evolutionary observer, and his travels have taken him to every era of human history from the day Christ died on the cross to the 21st Century, where World War III strikes out of the blue.

Earth in 1 million years, A.D. is a burned out hell-hole populated by mutated bloodsuckers called Redeyes, and led by a mysterious all-powerful being known as The Resistor. Humans have reverted to prehistoric primitives, and are slowly dying out as a species.

Due to the World War, several unwitting parties, including Rizzdik Zolan, have been thrust into the future. Colonels John and Cathy Phillips, on a rare shuttle mission to the space station, are also catapulted into this decaying future, along with Thalick an intergalactic traveler that resembles an enormous scorpion. Earth is a dying cinder, and yet one hope remains for it: the young daughter of John and Cathy Phillips Valry Phillips - who may hold the secret to Earth’s salvation or it’s inevitable destruction and ownership by the Resistor. It will be up to Zolan, Thalick and young Valry to do battle against the most powerful evil Earth has ever known."

I definitely get the reference, Sandy - and if you woke me up in the middle of the night and asked me how old I was, I'd say 19 ...

But you're right about the sad state of all things Barnes & Noble - at least, according to this

I have to admit that I go to B&N quite a lot, but I can't remember the last time I bought a book there. I've bought plenty of toys for birthday parties, a dvd, lots of coffee, a few calendars ... but no actual books. So if voracious readers aren't buying books from B&N, it's no wonder. Here we all are talking about free and cheap eBooks.
