Janet Oh I want to see that. Looks gorgeous.

message 7: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten I rarely go to the theater any more. The last movie I watched on DVD was The Navy vs The Night Monsters (1966) - a Christmas gift from my sister.

message 8: by Mona (new)

Mona Garg We watched The Wolf of Wall Street yesterday. DiCaprio was great - he should have won the Oscar.

message 9: by Darkslyric (new)

Darkslyric No Escape with Owen Wilson great film.

Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg great film.

Janet Exactly! :)

I have and I really want to see it. Waiting for it to show up at the library. Already put my hold in. I've always loved that painting.

message 14: by Janet (new)

Janet I'm going to have to take a look. :)

message 15: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Woman in Gold is about returning art stolen by the Nazi's to their rightful owners or family. Based on a true story.

message 16: by Sean (new)

Sean Peters Watched The Survivor with Pierce Brosnan.

message 17: by Paul (new)

Paul Perry I rewatched Dredd at the weekend, first time since the I saw it at the cinema. Holds up well without the 3D.

message 18: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh Sean did you like survivor? I didn't. And did you watch the November man?

message 19: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Mad Max: Fury Road. Meh.

message 20: by Christine (new)

Christine I saw that one decades ago, Brenda, lol.

message 21: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten I think she was referring to the new Mad Max, Christine.

message 22: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Yep, the new one. My husband liked it, but I got bored.

message 23: by Gopal (new)

Gopal Creed. The next movie in the Rocky series.

message 24: by Janet (new)

Janet Lol!

I quite enjoyed Kingsman in the end. Mad fun done well.

message 25: by Janet (new)

Janet Crikey..... Rocky continues?!! :-\

message 26: by Gopal (new)

Gopal Yea, but this one was less about Rocky. Stallone acted well.

message 27: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Decker Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!!!!

message 28: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Katherine wrote: "Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!!!!"
Ditto. It counted as church, actually since I went with 137 other friends from church.

message 29: by Sean (new)

Sean Peters The Survivor was just okay.

A little far fetched, especially as lead female kept getting the better of the assasin (Pierce Brosnan)

But fast paced, action packed, just weak story and acting.

Frances De La Tour was awful !

message 30: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Gopal (The Minion) wrote: "Yea, but this one was less about Rocky. Stallone acted well."

There's even talk about an Academy Award - it's allegedly that good.

message 31: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Raynes Spotlight. Amazing. Tragic. Glad the truth is out.
Also, Alvin and the Chipmunks. I blame my kids.

message 32: by Janet (new)

Janet We watched The Terminator and True Lies. It was an introduction to the kids and they liked them.

message 33: by Luffy Sempai (new)

Luffy Sempai The Terminator is a classic, but I find Kindergarten Cop to be better than True Lies. The latter is a remake from a french film called La Totale.

message 34: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Amiss Stepping Out. Adorable Liza Minnelli movie from the 90s. Watched it two days in a row and I am not ashamed!! :)

message 35: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Noble Janet wrote: "Name the latest movie you're watching/have watched."

Now You Don't.. about magicians acting with help of unknown mentor to rob banks etc. Surprise twist! Very good.

message 36: by Steven (new)

Steven Tyler Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

I thought it had too much violence and not enough character development although I liked Daisy Ridley. She has a great future ahead of her if she chooses wisely on projects after the Star Wars saga is done.

message 37: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Amiss Liza Minnelli's 1972 concert Liza With a Z(it's an obsession I know lol). Absolutely amazing! I always get so overcome with emotion every time I hear her sing Cabaret. Just amazing. What a performer!

Watching Spy with Melissa McCarthy right now.

:)

message 38: by Janet (new)

Janet Watched Woman In Gold with Helen Mirren in the lead as recommended by Pat. My three girls watched it with me and really enjoyed it.

Patricia Janet wrote: "Watched Woman In Gold with Helen Mirren in the lead as recommended by Pat. My three girls watched it with me and really enjoyed it."

Glad you and the girls liked it.

message 40: by Irina (new)

Irina Humphrey Watched The Revenant yesterday and I highly recommend it to everyone. I, myself, am not into gore and action, this would definitely be a "man's movie" in my opinion, but I watched the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed the plot. I hear the book is even better, has anyone in here read it?

message 41: by Irina (new)

Irina Humphrey Christine wrote: "Saw The Danish Woman today. Beautifully done."

The Danish Woman, or The Danish Girl? I read the Danish Girl and can't wait to see the movie!

message 42: by Janet (new)

Janet If you mean the new one with Eddie Redmayne, I think that is 'Girl'.

I think I have seen something about The Revenant, didn't know it was a book.

message 43: by Michael (new)

Michael "No Escape" with Owen Wilson and Pierce Bronson.
Great action movie. I give it 5 stars.

message 44: by Janet (new)

Janet Oh and youngest daughter made me watch Mama Mia AGAIN!! *and now ABBA is in my head!*

message 47: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Janet, good luck getting ABBA out of your head!

message 48: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Decker Jurassic World. I loved it- really funny and a bit over-the-top but excellent regardless

message 49: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh Yes Katherine Jurrassic World was fun, some great scenes , but less scary than the other Jurassic Park movies.

C. Aymen wrote: "Yes Katherine Jurrassic World was fun, some great scenes , but less scary than the other Jurassic Park movies."

I agree totally~ However, I hated that she ran through the whole movie including through the jungle in spike heels! Plus when they are driving beside the dinos which are leaping over downed trees, their ATVs and the truck following were going smooth as glass ,lol! Green screens are destroying films!

Recently watched and loved~The Young Victoria (2009)Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend, Paul Bettany
A dramatization of the turbulent first years of Queen Victoria's rule, and her enduring romance with Prince Albert.
