The official investigation was only concerned with the financial situation. The state of Alabama is on record as saying that mental capacity wasn't in their remit which makes the whole thing even murkier. The interview was done in the presence of her lawyer who is the one people are accusing of manipulating her. Anyone with elderly fading relatives knows that they can pass for competent for short periods if they are primed enough before hand and the person priming is present to 'reassure' the old dear. There's obviously a lot of BS going on. If it was all above board there would be no need for silly unbelievable soundbites and excuses from the lawyer but credible reasons instead
