This book, in my opinion, was written after Mockingbird. Who knows? Maybe Lee was told it was garbage and didn't want to destroy her reputation. Or maybe she didn't write the first and made an unsuccessful attempt to do a sequel herself. If I was a journalist, I'd try to find out the real story ... American literature deserves to hear it: did someone write this book for sensational reasons and to make money

Agreed. It did feel like an epilogue to TKAM.
