Pamela Aares Hugh-- it was great to have you at RWA! You have no idea how much you have inspired and encouraged all of us by your bravery!

Lin Weich Good advice but hard to follow especially when your sales are not what you expect. Yes, I want to write and for people to enjoy my stories. However, the sales numbers sometimes seem to validate your work. It is wonderful when you actually receive a verbal or online compliment that is well thought out and sincere but those seem few and far between when your sales are low. The answer is to keep on writing and creating.

Mary Hyland What a loss to civilization it would have been if Van Gogh stopped painting because he had no sales. Continue creating "for the love it" is the best advice. Thanks to that mindset, we get to savor Van Gogh's beautiful artwork today.

Caroline Gebbie Great advice Hugh. Keep writing and keep interacting you have to find the right readers not just readers. I know my books are not for everybody but I also know that there are enough people out there who will love my books. Thanks for keeping foing I love your books.

Kelly Bayes I really believe this is true. Word of mouth is the bigges thing for an author, and specifically for Hugh as I (in FL) heard about his books from my boyfriend, who got a good review from his brother (in Mich). And after a couple pages, I was hooked, and its something I recommend to anyone who likes future distopia type fiction. My number one recommendation.
