Daniel Wiseman You are right even amongst most south asian ya writers its not race specific so u don't get a feel for the insiders perspective of the culture. Ya is one of the trickiest genres to balance the blossoming of maturity without veering too much into shades of grey adulthood to use an easy cheesy analogy

I think you're a role model for the likes of Aisha Saeed, Jhumpa Lahiri and Nadeem Aslam who can't seem to get away from mud slinging on everything that is South Asian.
