I can't tell you how many serials and novellas I have attempted to read. Yet every time, it cements my opinion that they are simply just not my thing. I try so hard to get into them, but always come away feeling as if I need more. I guess I'm too stubborn for my own good because no matter how many times I fail, I will still occasionally attempt one again. Imagine my shock when I took a gamble on these two novellas and ended up actually enjoying them.
The fact that these come from Ella Fox was a big incentive for me as I've really loved some of her books in the past. This author always delivers some exceptional smut-I never have room to complain on that front. Sometimes you're just in the mood for a dirty, fluffy, fantasy read to indulge in and that's exactly what I got here. Don't even act like you don't know what I'm talking about.
In volume one, we find out that Exton is a famous Hollywood playboy-a former actor and and currently a successful screenwriter. But was he's infamous for is his sex tape that was secretly filmed and sold for everyone to see. I really felt for the poor guy, having his personal business and and privacy cruelly invaded. It's caused him to be cynical about ever finding anyone like his friends who are happily married. (If you've read her Heart Family series, you'll be happy to know that several characters have a role in these two books.)
Arden has her own issues stemming from some major bullying and cruel deception in her childhood and teen years. She left her small town after the ultimate betrayal that killed all her romantic hopes and hardened her against love.
In these two novellas, we basically have major insta-lust and let's face it, insta-love as well. I'm the type of person that doesn't do insta-love, but in this case, it worked for me. I wasn't expecting something based in reality, I just settled in for Exton's hot pursuit, his extreme alpha tendencies running rampant, and some mind blowing heat. And when I say Exton has it going on, I'm not kidding. Hell, he's guaranteed to do some damage to the ovaries, my friends.
"You're sexy as fuck right now, and I want to bite, lick, suck, eat, finger, and fuck you-just the way you are. I'd suggest you get used to it because I plan to wake you up with my mouth, my fingers, or my dick more often than not."
Ummm...yes to that.
And I really appreciated the fact that this book was dual POV and revisited some scenes from volume one, which provided some insight into what went on inside his head at some pivotal points. I always enjoy getting that male POV.
Ella Fox knows how to make my smutty heart pitter patter and these were no exception. The only reason I didn't rate higher was the fact that even though these were rare novella successes for me, they still don't measure up to a full blown full length novel. You just don't get the detail and character building you would normally get, but still, I enjoyed them for what they were. The Strictly Temporary books provide a quick and easy light read with plenty of sexy times, so if that's what you're in the mood for, I would definitely recommend these for you.

First things first - 1. That cover is awful simply because I don't picture either character looking anything like that. 2. Exton . Stupid name. I pronounced it Easton in my head because 1- I can and 2 - it sounds better.
Anyway let's carry on.
I loved being inside Exton's head and reading this all from his POV. So much better than droppy draws POV - that was a bit depressing (though we do still get parts from her). Exton was amusing but oh so swoon worthy at the same time. Right from the first glimpse he falls for Arden. He did everything he could to woo her. He didn't care if he looked silly or soft. He knew she was 'The One' and he completely went for her. Loved that about him and how dirty he was. Perfect dirty talker. How beautiful he thought she was and how he wouldn't stand for her putting herself down. It kinda made me mad because I felt like he should have had someone stronger, someone who could love him as freely and as much as he loved her . I know I'm cold hearted. I get why she was so insecure, but it went on too long and she needed a slap to get over it. Stop being bitter and enjoy the handsome, hung man in front of you woman!
Right up til the last 20 pages this was a 5 star for me, THEN, then well...
You know that scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were Augustus Gloop falls into the chocolate river. Well, I felt like I'd fallen into one made of cheese. The whole thing turned into a giant cheese-fest, I threw up in my mouth a little from the over abundance of sweetness. Seriously, calm down this wasn't supposed to turn into a Disney movie!
That whole section peed on my enthusiasm and love for this book a bit, so it's a 4 star. Though I did actually enjoy it more than the first book - all thanks to Easton, I mean Exton.

Be still my beating heart because Ella Fox has worked her magic and made you fall in love and believe in fairy tales. But of course, Ella Fox gives you a sexy, steamy and swoonworthy happily ever after ending that will leave you smiling like a fool.
Forget sparks because fireworks are going off when it comes to Exton Alexander. In this final conclusion of Strictly Temporary, Exton will make you believe that prince charming, knight in shining armor, and heroes do exist. When you found the one you want to spend the rest of your life, you automatically know. In the words of Exton, he found his spark. And his spark is none other than Arden, who made him see the story book ending of HEA. In the first installment, we learned that Arden's past and secret has been exposed. For Arden, this humiliation could ruin her relationship with Exton but her past doesn't phase him. He makes it his mission to protect his woman and if that means hunting down anyone involved in tarnishing Arden's image, then he will do it. So if you are looking for an alpha male with a heart of gold, then I highly suggest you read Strictly Temporary.
Ella Fox is an amazing writer, who did a remarkable job in writing a book that incorporates romance, angst, drama, and of course those H-O-T sexy times that will heat up those e-readers. I love reading a book that showcases the growth of characters as they are able to blend their different personalities that will compliment their partners and Arden and Exton did just that. Ms. Fox, I bow down to your awesomeness and can't wait to read more of your books.

I am going to start this review with a little loving..I adore Ella Fox. Her superhero powers against all that is evil..her virtual smack down on any asshat that dares to bully or make someone feel taken advantage of. She takes no prisoners and never backs down from what she believes in. That in itself is a wonder..but then the girl can write! So the love cup runeth over...this installment faced down the torment and bullying that a small town can unleash on a person that someone can perceive as less than and the fuck you that can be delivered by just living a meaningful, happy life.
Getting the POV from Arden just cemented the fact that this wasn't a fly by night (we all knew, only Exton didn't) but getting his feelings just made me fall that much harder for the sex tape master! Taking advantage of someone can happen in many different ways, and once taken a fool, trusting someone does not come easy. This is the journey of two people burned in different ways finding their road to happiness and living the life they never thought would be possible.
Loved this series, the meaning behind it, friendships, and the hot sex that always comes with an Ella Fox series.

4.5 stars! Although both books in the series are rather short they are packed with amazing writing, an engaging plot and a overall wonderful story that kept me turning pages nonstop!! I don't think I've ever read a similar story line so I was glued to the book from the very beginning. I have not read the Hart series, but after this I think I might because these characters are so interesting.
In this story, Arden was bullied and mistreated in her awful small town for most of her life. I loved her character! After what happened to her (which was devastating), she picked herself up and moved forward with her life. Although, after that she had her guard up and 6 feet walls all around her. Thankfully, she befriended Sabrina Hart, her new boss and she seemed to be in a good place. Then Exton Alexander meets Arden and turns her world upside down. I'll give it to Arden... she put up a good fight, but Exton wasn't letting her push him away. Arden knew of Exton... he was a child actor and ultimate playboy in L.A. Turns out, he is not was the tabloids make him out to be (entirely) and they formed a rather quick friendship after Exton continued to place himself in Arden's life. I absolutely loved Exton as well! He was charming and super protective of Arden. She has some issues with her confidences stemming from what happened to her and he was there to boost her up every step of the way.
There was never a dull moment in this series. I loved the interaction between the MC's and the sex scenes were seriously hot! This was a great series that I would definitely recommend reading!!

Perfect. This was the perfect follow up to part 1! I absolutely love the way Ella handled all the things that needed to be handled... how Exton, once again, took control... have I mentioned his alpha personality is seriously hot? No? Let me tell you... It's SERIOUSLY hot! Sizzleeee!!! I love Ella's writing and this book did not disappoint! Exton and Arden are an amazing couple. The chemistry between these two is off the charts... there is no denying they belong together and I love, love, love that whatever problems come their way, are solved together. Perfect... I'd expect nothing less than that with a book by Ella Fox.

Strictly Temporary 2 is the conclusion of Arden and Exton's story. Exton finds out about Arden's past and what she's been through, how will he handle another sex tape scandal? So many of our questions are finally answered. I've been on pins and needles for months dying to know what happens next. Arden was finally opening up and so happy with Exton, why did the past have to come back to haunt her?
I can't say much without giving the conclusion away. I will say that I absolutely FREAKING LOVED it! Ella Fox always sucks me in and captures my heart. I mean I seriously balled my eyes out, between the sad and happy moments, I was a big ball of tears. There was so much joy, sadness and plenty of laughter... "wonder twins" need I say more? Exton Alexander is a real charmer! He's rich, sexy, smart and a great lay in the sack! What's not to fall in love with in Exton Alexander? I have a new Book Boyfriend for 2015 and it's most definitely this sexy stud Exton! If you haven't started reading this yet, jump on it! Exton is even more DREAMY in this book. I loved loved loved the last few chapters and the epilogue. I love how it all ended so perfectly and we see so much into the future...I find myself having to imagine the couples future when I really love characters in a book, well I didn't have to do that this time and let me just say, it's better than I could have conjured up in my mind. Ha ha, can't even forget about all the hot sex scenes! Those of course always excite me and Ella knows just how to write the steamiest sex scenes! Seriously, this warmed my heart and I was crying happy tears up until the last word.

Exton and Arden. Yum.
I absolutely love this couple and I hate to say I think I love them more than Dante and Sabrina....but I think I do.
Exton is amazing with his tenacious ways of getting Arden to warm up to him. Lucky for him, she doesn't just warm up, she is on fire. I mean, who wouldn't be? Exton is the full on package and poor little Arden totally deserves him!
I was glad to see their story grow and evolve into something special. Ella Fox has a way of not only delivering a super sexy story but she also gives us the happy ending we so desperately crave.
I love seeing my characters find their happiness. And these two, they truly do with each other.
Sigh.

4 Sexy, Beautiful Stars!!!!!
Loved this ending to Arden and Exton's romance. Their story was fast paced but I loved it all!!!! Sometimes I am short on time so this was the perfect mini series for a quick read. Elton was a total alpha male full of every delicious quality that I love. Ella Fox can sure write sex scenes, YUM!!!!

One of the best conclusions that I have ever read!! Absolutely loved it til the end!! I would love to read more about Ex and Arden!! If you are looking for something so hot, sexy, spicy and with a hot alpha man who sees what he wants and will stop at nothing to have it, then one-click this book!! I have a new book boy friend and he is hotter than hell!! I wish I could give it more stars!! Loved it!!

If you read the first volume then you must read this one and find out what happened after the little cliffy Ella left us off with. That wasn't nice Ella.
I'm very pleased with their HEA. Even after the hard lessons life taught these two about love and how painful it can be to trust another person, Exton never gave up on Arden.

Well this was kind of a miss for me. I didn’t really care for the retelling in the first 25% from Exton’s POV. It just felt like filler being added to the book. The issue at the end of the last book was resolved fast. I am glad that Exton and Arden got their HEA and the epilogue was really sweet.

Strictly Temporary Volume 2 was everything I was looking for in the conclusion of Exton and Arden’s story. The minute I began their story in Volume 1, I wanted more, and let me tell you, Volume 2 delivers on every single thing you could want from those two.
Arden and Exton have such a fierce and powerful connection with one another that you feel the instant you begin their story, and this chapter of it just exemplified all the passion and feeling that accompanies them on every page. You will believe in what they share when you read this, and you will be fighting right along with them for everything to work out.
What I loved especially about this story was that it gave me some of Exton’s point of view. I absolutely loved that because that man is so dynamic, and stepping into his head was nothing short of wonderful. Getting his point of view, learning more of his past and what led him to the present of the book, and his side to the story just made me fall more and more under his spell. It also showed and exemplified everything he felt for Arden. You could just feel the passion and fierceness and devotion that that man had to Arden, and that just made him golden in my eyes.
Arden was a female character that I just connected with the moment I met her on the first page of this story, and I continued to just love her character as I read this part of her story. Arden’s character just screams authenticity. She’s so real, and all of the doubts and emotions and questions she has because of her past just made me connect with her character so much, because I understood exactly why she felt the way she did. Arden is also such a dynamic and strong female character, and I have mad respect for her after reading and experiencing what she goes through and overcomes in this story.
I especially loved that along with Arden and Exton’s magnificent story, I got a story with a ton of meaning behind it. This story and these characters touch on so many meaningful ideals, and I loved that along with one heck of a love story I got more meaning than you can shake a stick at. That meaning just embodied this story in the best way, and it made me love these characters more for the meaning behind everything they did and who they were.
Strictly Temporary Volume 2 gives you so much. It gives you Exton’s side of past events and shows you what was going through his head at some very crucial points in the story. It continues the story that I so adamantly fell in love with in Volume 1, giving you the passion, heat, and connection that just defines Arden and Exton in the best possible ways. It also gives you one helluva story that will keep you dying for more.
More of their fantastic and mesmerizing story. More of Arden and Exton and their wonderfully distinctive selves. More of just everything that makes this book the phenomenal thing it is.
This story had everything I’ve come to love and expect from a book by Ella Fox. It was just the right amount of flaming hot that brought the connection of the characters to life. The characters are sexy and memorable and perfectly distinctive and charming. The story itself is enthralling and filled with just the right amount of everything, from heat to love, from doubt to truth, and it kept me fully hooked in from start to finish.
I absolutely love this author’s writing and her ability to give me a story that I simply can’t get enough of. Her books just continue to give me characters and stories that I love immensely, and I cannot wait to get my hands on more!

What I loved especially about this story was that it gave me some of Exton’s point of view. I absolutely loved that because that man is so dynamic, and stepping into his head was nothing short of wonderful. Getting his point of view, learning more of his past and what led him to the present of the book, and his side to the story just made me fall more and more under his spell. It also showed and exemplified everything he felt for Arden. You could just feel the passion and fierceness and devotion that that man had to Arden, and that just made him golden in my eyes.
Arden was a female character that I just connected with the moment I met her on the first page of this story, and I continued to just love her character as I read this part of her story. Arden’s character just screams authenticity. She’s so real, and all of the doubts and emotions and questions she has because of her past just made me connect with her character so much, because I understood exactly why she felt the way she did. Arden is also such a dynamic and strong female character, and I have mad respect for her after reading and experiencing what she goes through and overcomes in this story.
I especially loved that along with Arden and Exton’s magnificent story, I got a story with a ton of meaning behind it. This story and these characters touch on so many meaningful ideals, and I loved that along with one heck of a love story I got more meaning than you can shake a stick at. That meaning just embodied this story in the best way, and it made me love these characters more for the meaning behind everything they did and who they were.
Strictly Temporary Volume 2 gives you so much. It gives you Exton’s side of past events and shows you what was going through his head at some very crucial points in the story. It continues the story that I so adamantly fell in love with in Volume 1, giving you the passion, heat, and connection that just defines Arden and Exton in the best possible ways. It also gives you one helluva story that will keep you dying for more.
More of their fantastic and mesmerizing story. More of Arden and Exton and their wonderfully distinctive selves. More of just everything that makes this book the phenomenal thing it is.
This story had everything I’ve come to love and expect from a book by Ella Fox. It was just the right amount of flaming hot that brought the connection of the characters to life. The characters are sexy and memorable and perfectly distinctive and charming. The story itself is enthralling and filled with just the right amount of everything, from heat to love, from doubt to truth, and it kept me fully hooked in from start to finish.
I absolutely love this author’s writing and her ability to give me a story that I simply can’t get enough of. Her books just continue to give me characters and stories that I love immensely, and I cannot wait to get my hands on more!

This book was given to me as an ARC for an honest review.
Strictly Temporary 2 doesn't jump right into continuing the story of Arden and Exton - it goes back to the beginning from Exton's POV and I really like that. I enjoyed the different perspectives and going back over the story a bit so that if I hadn't read the Strictly Temporary, I would know what was going on.
Ms. Fox's books are all interwoven in some way and I think it makes Arden and Exton's story so much more enjoyable with favorite characters from other books making appearances and she has such great secondary characters that you hope they get their own stories. (I'm talking about you, Laz!)
Without giving away specifics of the book, Arden is unexpectedly forced to face the past that she had thought she had left behind and is positive that this will destroy her relationship with Exton. That he stands by her and stands up for her honor and wants to remove any obstacle in the way of her realizing how good she is, is the best part of the story, in my opinion. Exton manages to makes her realize that everything she perceives as a flaw is just a beautiful part of what makes the whole of herself and that she doesn't have to change or be anyone other than herself.
Admittedly, I normally don't read books that are as descriptive as this one, but I absolutely enjoyed it and plan to read all of Ms. Fox's backlist. I'm always looking for great new authors and it looks like I've found one in Ella Fox.

Arden only wanted Temporary and thought after she heard Exton on the phone screaming that is exactly what he wanted too. But when you read Exton's point of view to what he thought of Arden when he first saw her at a Hart Party it will melt your heart.....And she made him work for it !! He chased and chased and gave her space but he knew in time she would realize this was permanent.
But when the past comes knocking on the door can Arden tell Exton about her past after what surfaces or will she run so she doesn't embarrass his because he is celebrity and she is an unknown ?? You know Exton will never let her run...she is not just any girl to him, she is his fifteen !! But after the past does surface for Arden, Exton understands what she is going thought and he doesn't want her to have to handle the stress and emotions he went though when his sex tape surfaced because he doesn't want her to put the walls up he has worked so hard to breakdown.
When Arden finally realizes that love can be permanent will she changed her mind and want permanent with Exton ? Can Vivian make Arden want to read again like she used to when she was younger ? Will Dante hell Exton get a date with Arden ? Will Laz make sure Exton always has his house phone on ?
This was a roller coaster of emotions book with ...of course ....a fantastic ending !! And you know Princesses always have a ..Once upon a time ending !!

I FLoved the hell out of this book and devoured it in one sitting. This is volume two in the Strictly Temporary books. Ella writes her characters with passion and I long to know each one of them. Not only does she bring romance and love into the story, but she writes about bullying, a very real and hot topic. Arden seemed to have her life mapped out for her because she was born to an unwed mother (the horror!) and is tortured her entire life. Arden comes off as a survivor, and a strong independent woman. Exton is the celeb that dealt with his own privacy violation and is constantly hounded by the paparazzi. The odds seemed stacked against these two as a couple, but the thing they cannot deny is when they are together their chemistry lights up the darkest of skies. I mean like smoking hot!

The story begins with a synopsis of 'Strictly Temporary, volume one' by Exton. I really enjoyed his point of view. Exton fell hard and fast for Arden, it was truly love at first sight. The story moves along quickly, secrets are revealed, Arden runs and Exton turns into Super Alpha. Can Super Alpha Exton change their relationship from temporary to permanent? Find all the answers in this final volume.

I really want an Exton for Christmas. This is definitely the kind of stuff that fairly tales are made of. When volume I ended I was crushed and could not wait to get my hands on volume II and it was definitely worth the wait. When Arden’s past comes back to haunt her, she is terrified and struggles with the choice of whether to walk away from Exton or not. Sexy and sensitive Exton is having no part of it though. Like the knight and shining armor that he is, Exton begins taking steps to make sure that his future with Arden is not threatened and he will do what it takes to make sure that the woman that he loves is not harmed. After reading this, my love of this couple rivals that of Dante� and Sabrina and I never thought that would happen in this life time. Of course, the Hart’s are still one of my favorite literary families and I swear I could read about them every day. Sexy, emotional, and completely swoon worthy, Strictly Temporary Volume II will leave you fill your heart with love and leave you a goofy, school girl smile on your face. I really hope to see more from this cast of characters in future stories from Ella.

Exton! Exton! Exton! � Just Wow
Well after reading and absolutely loving Strictly Temporary Part 1, with that lovely little cliffhanger, lol, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. It was so worth the wait! I loved every minute of it!.
Arden is such a fabulous character because even after everything that has happened to her she is still such a good person. She is just so scared to believe that Exton really loves her and to give herself completely to him. The beauty is when she does his response just kinda melts your heart.
Exton is just a guy (who happens to be sexy as hell and ooh that mouth of his..) looking for his girl and now that he found her he’s not ever going to let her go!
This story was a beautiful conclusion to an awesome love story! Add to that the lol banter between the guys and the sweetest additions of the Hart kids and you can’t help but enjoy this read!!

What a stunning conclusion to Arden and Exton's story. What I loved in the first volume of 'Strictly Temporary' was how willing Exton was to show that his feelings for Arden were real and true, and he continues to show what a stunner he is in the second volume.
I loved seeing the story of Arden and Exton's meeting and courtship from his point of view, and I had to laugh at his confusion over being rebuffed by Arden. Just seeing her spark from his eyes was wonderful as it really had me rooting for her even more.
The pain other past was something that I really wanted Arden to feel more comfortable about sharing, and in this book we see her heartbreaking admission to the treatment she received in the past, and I loved seeing the close network of friends that supported her throughout. Sabrina and Dante are the perfect set of secondary characters, and I loved how well developed their story was.

I have been so excited for this book to be released. I loved Strictly Temporary Volume 1, and need more of the Sexy Hotness of Exton.
I Love Exton and Arden together, He showed her that happy ever afters can happen, and you can have your fairy tale, when you find the right man.
Ricky god hated that guy, but after reading this, hate Rhonda soo much!!
Arden has been through so much emotionally, but I Love how Arden brings her out of her shell and you see her fight back against the people who made her live a misery.
I Love reading more of my fave Hart family members Dante and Rina
Ella knows how to write how smoking Hot sex scenes, she never fails to bring it. You certainly have to fan yourselves once or twice while reading one of Ella's books.
Reading Ella's books always makes me remember why I Love reading so much, she keeps me entertained with every word.

Book 2 goes to show that yes indeed as I previously stated, There is NOTHING Temporary about Strictly Temporary!
Exton and Arden.... What a couple, what a journey.
Exton stops at NOTHING to protect Arden. To make her feel loved, wanted and cherished. When Arden's past comes back to haunt her, Exton does what any alpha man does, he goes into pure protection mode. Especially after what happened to him in the past, he refuses to let it happen to Arden.
When Arden finally comes face to face with what shes hid from and kept everyone from knowing from her past was a inspiring moment. I literally broke for her, yet at the same time I felt the relief that she must have been feeling when she finally stood up for herself and put the past right where it belongs, out of sight out of mind.
I loved the conclusion of Exton and Ardens story. It was simply perfect, I had no doubts it would be. Bring me More Ella!

I loved book 2 in the Strictly Temporary series. Getting a glimpse in Exton’s head really just brought the story together for me. I loved his point of view and how he was instantly attracted and obsessed with Arden. For me Ms. Fox thrives in a male point of view. I loved having a chance to dig into Exton’s brain and really see what he was feeling.
Small town living doesn’t always define you, but it can make you into the insecure person you don’t recognize anymore. Arden doesn’t trust and when a big time player pays you interest you trust even less. Luckily, for all of us, Exton is not the man who will be backing down anytime soon.
Ms. Fox has taken a short series and made the reader fall in love with the endearing personalities of her characters. Exton will make you want to believe that real men- men that know how to treat a lady do exist. Arden will make you see that being yourself and being ok with the person you have grown into is an ok for person for someone else to love.

This book starts off in Extons POV, I loved this aspect which I felt due to the nature of the events from Arden's past, I as a reader needed to feel his feelings and hear his thoughts.
This book nicely wraps up the events from vol 1, it was really raw and emotional especially when Arden had to reveal her secrets.
Arden and Exton had great chemistry, I loved that he was an older guy, they really gelled as a couple and I enjoyed the dynamic between the two.
I think this would have benefited being a full book but as I read both volumes in one sitting it didn't bother me as much as it would if I'd picked vol one up on release.
All in all I enjoyed this book and the series I'd recommend this as it was a great story, told brilliantly.

I really enjoyed this Strictly Temporary 2. The fact we got some of Exton's POV is one of my favorite parts. These are short stories and they are just enough but still you want more but you have closure and that it is important to me. Exton is....well....well he is just plain hot ALPHA male and I just flove him. Arden while she has endured a lot and has her moments she truly is a beautiful soul inside and out. The fact that she continues to bring Exton to his knees and is able to bring out his true ALPHA is such a great form is awesome. I love that we get more peaks into Dante and Sabrina from the Hart Series. You must def read volume 1 and I totally recommend this! Now #ReadOn

Exton understands exactly what Arden is going through once pictures of her are posted to the web because of his past and he will do all he can to show her that she is not in this alone.
this is in both POV and really brings the entire story together from both characters.
