I apologize for not checking my mail more often, and thank you very much indeed for leaving a very kind comment.
Djinni-vera got pregnant the first time she and Tarrant-Arragon made love. She was 6-weeks pregnant at the time of the Royal Wedding, which is why there was no second "rut-rage". References to her developing pregnancy are sprinkled throughout Forced Mate, Insufficient Mating Material, and Knight's Fork.
At least, they were when I signed off on the books. Checking.
Page 12 of IMM...."her belly, where his heir grew a fraction of a finger-joint every day...."
Don't be embarrassed. I write my books like onions with layers and nuances. My hope is that if anyone re-reads any of them, they will notice something new that they missed the first time.
I'd started a story with Demetra as the heroine, but I don't want her to end up with either (or both!) of the twins. Guess who might be a potential mate.
All the best,
Rowena

I'm a guest interviewee. By random drawing between Dec 1 and Dec 5 2011, one person who leaves a comment will win $25.
Thank you for your comments.

"Sisters are doing it for themselves!" Self-publishing, that is. (Brothers, too.)
On Crazy Tuesday at 2:00 pm Eastern, multi-published authors Jacquie Rogers, Amber Scott, Brenna Lyons, Norman Wilson, Kim McDougall, and Gemma Halliday join Rowena Cherry to explain how to exercise reserved and reverted book rights, especially e-book rights, and get back in the game.
Between us, we'll cover everything from buying an ISBN, to doing a cover, to editing and formatting, to uploading to Smashwords and Kindle and more.

I didn’t feel that the same joke would work a second time, so when I was asked to write a sequel, I turned to an underdog hero and put him in a Green Acres meets Survivorman (with sex) situation, where he is shot down on an alien tropical island with a spoiled, bad-tempered, fashion conscious Princess who cannot and will not take off her wet court gown to save her life.

I wrote it as a loving spoof of the Historical Romance genre. I took every traditional situation in an abduction/obligatory-travel romance and made the hero an all-powerful, alpha-male alien.

Officially, my books are called Futuristic Romance, but they are not set in the future, and there's a bit too much irreverent humor for the book to be considered science fiction/romance.
All my titles are sexy chess terms.
They are racy, laugh out loud funny in parts, and set in outer space with high powered alien royalty with splendid sex drives, and some nifty paranormal abilities.

However, I am willing to have a shot at answering questions... but, honestly, I'm not a good example.

If you are an author, and perhaps --like me-- haven't looked around much, recently, you might like to visit here
http://www.goodreads.com/author/featu...
for advice about setting up your own Q&A group.
Since I am supposed to provide a forum for readers to ask questions about my writing processes and habits, I have done so. Feel free to ask me questions about such things. :-)
There are already threads about my own books... not fresh, but there.
If you are interested in my views on ebooks and piracy, please join the conversation here:
http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/3...
GoodReads also suggests that I start a discussion about my favorite authors and influences. Actually, I'd rather hear about yours... who you like and why.
My own list is short, and strictly limited to authors who are not my friends. If I started to name friends whose writing I like, the list would either be endless, or I would offend someone.

I believe that I need some "I Like It" votes to get this new video and audio recording onto my profile page. Please help me out.

If that is the case, we should do more multi-author samplers.
It was my idea to put together sample chapters by Linnea Sinclair, Susan Kearney, Rowena Cherry, Susan Grant, Deborah Macgillivray, Jade Lee, Catherine Spangler, Charlee Compo, Nina Bangs, Joy Nash, C.L. Wilson, Robin T Popp, Dawn Thompson, Laurel Bradley, Cindy Spencer Pape and many more.
One reason readers seem to love the file sharing sites is that they can use them (free of course) to discover whether they like the way an unknown author writes.
So here are two samplers to do the same function without giving away the entire plot, and with the consent of the authors involved.
It's free, it's convenient, no more point-to-points around the internet "researching" what to try next.
For best results:
Click on the link.
Wait for the yellow loading bar to fill.
Scroll to the far right to "Read Now"
A double page will open (like a book) with the cover on the right.
Use the toolbar on your desktop to Zoom,
Zoom In or Zoom Text only.
Use the start triangle on the webpage to begin reading.
Please feel free to forward, to share, to upload the links, to use the Share This function on the Book Buzzr site as long as you share each sampler in their entirity.

Thank you so much for your stories, and I do apologize that my own image is usurping your rightful places.
Valerie encountered this issue too, but I thought/hoped the situation had righted itself. Do you think I should complain to the Librarians?
Thank you both for your moving comments about the issues!
All the best,
Rowena Cherry
