Three Musketeers
You may try the podcasts by Frank Delaney called re:joyce. They are very effective at understanding the context and timeframe of Ulysses. Ulysses to me is like a lifetime read. I recommend savoring it instead of trying to plow through and read it. Those podcasts help immensely and are extremely enjoyable in their own right.
