55774 Linda's Wedding titles:

55774 As a girl, I always heard about June bides. I was an August bride, my younger daughter Carrie was a July bride, but my oldest daughter Emily will be a June bride this month. Emily (a fellow Bookworm) is getting married on June 21st and we are knee deep in preparations.

So this month, we will count books that have wedding words in the title: bride, groomsman, vows, veil, engagement, bouquet, etc. I am excluding the word "love" even though it is an important emotion for a wedding as just a little too non-wedding specific.

Examples:

The Guest List by Melissa Hill

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang

I've had a few questions about some wedding words. Yes, to "Mrs. , wife, and husband." Someone also asked if they could use words from the saying "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in her shoe." On that I'll need at least two words from the saying (excluding "and, a, in and her." So the title The Old Blue Line could count.

I think "When the Moon Hits your Eye" is just fine for this month. It is certainly a well known line from a well known song.

4. Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and Jesse Russell
5. Just Haven't Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens (Michael Buble)

55774 I am taking my inspiration for this month from the great musicians NSYNC from their hit "It's Gonna Be Me," but pronounced by Justin Timberlake as "It's Gonna Be May."
Justin Timberlake is from Memphis and the month of May brings Memphis in May which is a month full of Music and Barbecue Festivals. I live in Memphis and the large park next door is preparing the stages right now for the musical groups coming into town.

So this month you can choose books that have musical words or songs in their titles.

Example: The Chilbury Ladies' Choir by Jennifer Ryan
or Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez

55774 Cathy, note that N4 is the year you were born. Not necessarily 1967 unless you are also 58.
I think I was the first one to type out the bingos so a lot of people copied and pasted my post. I had just personalized N4 to make it shorter for me to type.

55774 Congratulations to Cathy for being a top reader in 2024 and winning the choice of selecting a monthly special.

Cathy selected "window" or "door" in the title and selected the month of April because "after our long winter we will be opening our houses again to fresh air and sunshine!"

Happy reading and may you be able to do some of that reading in the fresh air and sunshine.

55774 Yes, I think jealousy and envy both work with this prompt. If the title of a book was "Why Frog was Jealous of Turtle's Shell by Abigail Green" then there would be 4 possible hits for the color green..

55774 Top of the morning to thee March!
Thou art the month that keeps always green in my heart.

Shamrocks are growing, jolly and bold
Green flags are blowing, green flags and gold

Top of the morning to thee March!
Thou art the month that keeps always green in my heart.

This was a poem I had to memorize and perform at some school function back in 5th grade. Isn't it interesting what we remember from our childhood? I have tried searching the internet for the poem and its author but to no avail. It was probably in a teacher's workbook on the month of March.

So this month you can have the word green or anything that is typically green in the title. Examples are plants, leprechauns, mold, broccoli , limes, jade, alligators, etc. Use your imagination.

I'll also allow authors who are named Green or Greene.

55774 Ironically, two books I was not reading for the monthly challenge had important mentions of quilting or quilters in the storyline.
