Oooh, love Robin McKinley. So of course, I already have this. :)

My Rules According to Sydney Kildare (MC of Don't Bite the Messenger) are up at GraveTells Reviews, plus an international e-book giveaway of DBtM.

I've got an interview with Carina Press and Decadent author Diane Dooley on my blog, including a giveaway of her sci fi romantic short story Mako's Bounty. I've never seen a male lead like her Vin Sainte. It's such a fun story! She's also looking for urban fantasy recommendations, if anyone has some to share.
The giveaway is open until April 2nd.

I wonder if that's one of the reasons that it so captivated an entire generation (among others), because they didn't get older and leave the characters behind. They grew up together.

I don't read a lot of YA, but this is one I'm really looking forward to.
I was lucky enough to beta a short story by the author and, wow. She's one of those special minds that I don't fully understand but really enjoy reading.

I couldn't access those episodes from the States before it came to SyFy here. (not sure if they're now available to U.S. IP addresses) I would hope, now that the show's on a larger, international market, that Showcase will unlock, or SyFy will provide access.
And...yes. The steamy scenes get STEAMY.

I'm not a big TV person, but if you're in the U.S. and like urban fantasy, I recommend LOST GIRL, which SyFy just started airing. It's the first season of a Canadian show that debuted last year, I believe.

Did DBtM have the cooling effect you were hoping for, Jenny? I'd love to weather-trade you right now. It's -15 F today, and we've got no heat and burst pipes at the day job. I'm typing this while wearing little, striped gloves. :(

Thanks, Jenny! That giveaway is open internationally. :)

I have to recommend Stacia Kane's Downside series to anyone who's looking for dark urban fantasy.
Sacrificial Magic, the fourth book, comes out this year.

No, Jenny, it certainly won't. :)

Hi, All!
I think the first fantasy book I remember has to be A Wrinkle in Time. I would love to meet Sherlock Holmes (especially if he bears any resemblance to Robert Downey Jr.).
Sadly, I don't have a chance to read everyday. Definitely weekly, though sometimes it's a few stolen moments while brushing my teeth. :(
