Slowly I am coming out of it. But my 12 to 15 books a month went down to just 5 books in May - so I am really buried in back books now.

I started it just as my reading slump came on in early May and was only about 2 or 3 chapters in, so now I need to restart it.

Ok I did a little research. Took forever - due to the massive amount of books I have on my Fire - but found
The Last One. I never could find
Idle Grounds but then went to both my library and Annas Archives and can easily get it from either one. I put it on hold at the library. Should have it prior to the end of June. So consider both books in the July line up.
In addition, since there are no other suggestions, I am gonna add
Broken Country by
Clare Leslie HallThanks Trisha for your patience and suggestions.

Me too, but I had just the opposite reaction to the book - hated it!

Did you get this one finished Trisha? Last thoughts?

Haven't heard of either book Trisha - so will have investigate them. Will get back to you.

I finished this a few days ago. I thought Wingate did a good job of sealing everything up at the end. I did not think that the 3 sets of bones in the cave was going to be brought back up, but happily it was. Usually I like one alternating story over the other, but I ended up liking both stories. With just a slight edge to Ollie and the 1909 story - since I really like historical novels.
If you dont usually read the Authors Notes I would advise you do in this book. It tells a little bit of the story about Kate Bernard - who was the inspiration for this fictional story.

I kinda by passed this chapter and kept going. I am not really that far beyond it tho.
Usually when I read a book with two time lines I really prefer one over the other. With this book I am enjoying both stories. I am having a problem trying to figure out how the stories will connect with 80 years between them tho.

Never too early to suggest a book...

I have started this book.

This book is approximately 50% read. What are your thoughts at this point? No hiding spoilers needed - this is free flowing

Ok, tried it again. Maybe in time I can go back and put in the real book title. As of now - unless this also disappears - Private Rites will be known as "The Book ŷ will not allow me to post!!!!!!!!!!"

Ok it happened again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I posted Private Rites Folder #1 for the 4th time and then was putting in a comment, in hopes that that would secure the posting. It would not allow me to post any additional comments and when I worked my way out of it and came back - the book posting was gone again!!!!!!! This is really pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure we will be able to read Private Rites this month. I have put the #1 Folder in three times and it won't stay. At first I thought I had forgotten to hit post - so I did it a second time. I came back the next day and it was no where to be found. So I tried it again thinking maybe I posted it to the wrong place. The third time I made sure it was 100% correct before I posted it and then checked to make sure it was there and again it has disappeared. So I put Private Rites Folder #3 in tonight. Let's see if that one remains! I have been doing this too long to doubt myself - and in about 15 years this is only the second book that has given me any posting problems like this. It's the first one in this group. Not sure what this book is about, but surely it is not banned by GR's? Not with some of the smut that I have seen posted in various places. So cross your fingers that Folder #3 stays put. If it does I will find a way to get Folder #1 in there - even if I have to call the book something else!
