6. I wrote this book to tell the story about a little moose that I found wearing a Santa hat. I wondered how he got the hat…and what a little moose might think about at Christmas time when reindeer seem to get all the applause and admiration. A moose has brown fur and antlers just like them…so why are they so special! In the end…he learns why they’re special…and ultimately why HE is special too. It was a story that found its way on to paper over a long period of time. It took over 20 years to bring it to print. I never thought it would take that long…or turn out like it has…but its better than I ever thought it could be. A lesson I learned from Charlie.
