I think perhaps this rivals The Body Keeps the Score as the best trauma book out there. The Body gives us some history on the emergence of PTSD as a new diagnosis, dealing with Vietnam War veterans, and other adult traumas. The Boy deals with children, � and has much more useful insight and solutions. It is focused on kids and not healing adults, which leaves it short of encompassing all aspects of trauma, but it is a great book. This also gave good insight on dissociation from one chapter deali

I liked how the author didn't focus solely on the gross hardcore experiences, but how to approach people who experienced them.
This actually triggered me several times, but actually there was learning along the pain of the words and what they implied in my life and how I relate to others with or without horrible experiences.
4.5 stars. I'm not giving it 5 just because I don't feel it's complete in what I am needing. But it certainly provides light and hope. :)
