Mei: I read this series as a buddy read, and guys, I literally have 300+ highlights for this book. Out of the 4 that are currently out, this one is THE spiciest and I wasn't expecting it so I was blazing right through. 😂 I love the world that JD has created, with the politics and magic system, and the new characters that gets introduced here are so fun to follow!! I really adored the arc that both of them went through here and how they were complete opposites but absolutely perfect for each other. The buildup in each book has been really satisfying, but what I love about here in particular is that we get to see a romance that doesn't include any royals, which gives it a unique tone and vibe!
