If you're starting to read this book and begin to grit your teeth and find Cat annoying, and her mother irritating, and you're contemplating giving up...wait. Keep reading.
As with many series nowadays, this first book suffers from a trite and disjointed beginning. But, as soon as the character Bones comes on the scene, Frost's story gains clarity and momentum. This book should come with a warning label: do not read while driving, operating heavy machinery, or on a ten minute break at work! Seriously. This book gave me a laugh when I really needed one. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be as funny as it was in my head, but nevertheless, I loved it!
