Oh so addictive! Lila Felix knows how to capture an audience. I can always get lost in her stories without even knowing it. This one was no exception.

It follows Aysa, a tiny girl in big world who thinks she's invisible and is somewhat damaged. When she meets Ezra, an equally damaged guy but for different reasons, both their worlds take sudden turn and everything will never be the same.

Sparrows for Free is an amazingly beautiful story of two broken individuals. Lila Felix has done it again, writing another compellingly addictive story that I couldn't get enough of. Told from the dual points of view of Ezra and Aysa, it was lovely, heartbreaking and stunning.

It all begins with Ezra and an accident that leaves a horribly dark scar on his life, forever changing him. Fast forward several years and he is living with his best friends Dobber and Gray. Ezra and Gray have a complicate Sparrows for Free is an amazingly beautiful story of two broken individuals. Lila Felix has done it again, writing another compellingly addictive story that I couldn't get enough of. Told from the dual points of view of Ezra and Aysa, it was lovely, heartbreaking and stunning.

It all begins with Ezra and an accident that leaves a horribly dark scar on his life, forever changing him. Fast forward several years and he is living with his best friends Dobber and Gray. Ezra and Gray have a complicated friendship, tangled in the past and solidly connected as a result of the accident that changed it all. They are both a mess and so immersed in their own pain that they seem stuck in a never-ending dysfunctional cycle. On one of their regular friday outings together they go to a Catholic church where they have a brief encounter with Aysa.

Aysa, is different. One of the more unique female leads that I've ever read about. She's broken, but she's oddly strong. I found myself very intrigued by her behavior, and the fact that she closes herself away into tiny closed in spaces just made her even more interesting. I really liked her, she's sarcastic, funny, and completely un-self-aware, it was wonderful reading her journey. When Aysa meets Ezra, Ezra does what everyone else does to her, doesn't even notice her. But then they meet again and she's all he can see. I loved it. I loved their connection, and the slow but steady relationship that builds between them.

All of the other characters are equally as interesting. You've got Gray, who in the beginning I really liked, but as the story progressed I began to get a little scared. However, I still like her, it should be interesting to see where she goes in the next book. Then there's Ezra's brother, Knox, and oh my...he's a priest, and he's really kinda awesome - I loved him. Then of course the three musketeers of friends, Dobber, Leon and Neil, these three are awesomesauce. I can't wait to see more of all of them in the next book.

Overall, this was another beautifully done story by the incredibly awesome Lila Felix. I loved it so much I finished it in one afternoon. And even though, it ends on a killer cliffhanger that has left me desperate for the next book, I still trust Lila Felix, I can't wait to see how she finishes this story. Amazing, amazing read, can't recommend it enough.

This book was confusing for me. It was an addicting book. I was rushing through it because I wanted to see what happened next but lots of things bothered me. The first and most important thing that bothered me was the ending...that was a loaded and depressing cliffhanger, definitely didn't like where things were left off.

Secondly, I thought Aysa's character was the MOST annoying. I know how she grew up, etc., but it just ...more
