A sweet and endearing read. I saw it as more of a memoir; it’s essentially a collection of micro essays on butchness and what it means to be a gentleman. It’s sweet in that it’s old fashioned, a throwback to the era of butch/femme. That said I could also understand how someone might find some of it a bit offensive, as being masculine in presentation does not necessarily make someone automatically want to be a gentleman.
