Seniors Nina, who has gone to Stanford for a summer program, Avery, a pianist, and Melanie who is less sure about herself, are bestest friends. Avery and Mel work at a restaurant over the summer and fall in love, but they don’t tell Nina. (Avery’s not sure she’s gay, but she doesn’t tell Mel this.)
