I've read many Historical fiction, but none of them teared me up like this one. it definitely gave me a better look into the harsh conditions of war and how people are treated and how they sold into slavery for crimes they never committed.
I wouldn't call this a pretty book, it's harsh and pathetic, but it should be read and shared. It teaches you a lot more than you could imagine.
Definitely recommended to everyone.

The book is sad. One sad chapter after another. The flashbacks were annoying. I cried a lot but I only recommend this book if you want to read a tragedy. I liked the ending. The cliffhangers are still killing me. THE BOOK WILL HIT YOU WITH SOME FEELS.
