Ok , Im finally able to say that i have read both Six of crows and Crooked kingdom and i got to say that i found Crooked kingdom the best of the two of them, this is something everyones seems to be in agreement here on goodreads. It felt like I was watching an episode of Hustle.

There were so many times that I thought they'd been rumbled but yet Kaz's back up plans had multiple back up plans. He is one genius criminal master mind!

Wow. I loved Crooked Kingdom SO MUCH! I never really understood the meaning of 鈥淚 can鈥檛 even鈥� but I get it now because I literally can鈥檛 even. Wow. I loved Crooked Kingdom SO MUCH! I never really understood the meaning of 鈥淚 can鈥檛 even鈥� but I get it now because I literally can鈥檛 even. Since I loved Six of Crows I had some pretty high expectations for this book and by pretty high we鈥檙e talking outside of this galaxy. The best part is Crooked Kingdom surpassed those expectations into a whole other universe.

I was a little nervous to get into this book. Six of Crows was phenomenal and I was worried I might be disappointed plus I read Six of Crows a while ago. I read a book summary then dove right into what may be my favourite book of the year.

The characters were amazing and reminded me why I loved Six of Crows so much. There was the right amount of everything all mixed in. Jesper and Nina provided fabulous sarcasm and the absolute best retorts while Inej and Kaz added some mystery. There was also a little romance that added lots to the story. Since we know the characters from Six of Crows, Crooked Kingdom delved into their past. There was some of that was seen in the first book but tons more was revealed in this one. Also I鈥檓 still trying to figure out how Leigh Bardugo made me love and hate characters at the same time. Like Kaz was crazy and deceptive but also awesome and I always wanted to hear from him.

While we are on the topic of a sneaky Leigh Bardugo and love/hate relationships there was one thing in particular that she threw in the book just to mess with us. Since there were over six POVs in this story Bardugo would masterfully end chapters on a cliff hanger and if that character didn鈥檛 have the next chapter you had to read through more agony while worrying about someone else. Basically, you had no choice but to keep reading.

I also wanted to make sure I mentioned that there is a 鈥淐ast of Characters鈥� in the back of the book which I found super helpful. I did read a more detailed summary of Six of Crows before starting Crooked Kingdom but this list made it that much easier to keep track of characters and their part in the story. I also would recommend reading a good summary if you read Six of Crows a while ago because it definitely helped me.

Even though I could keep reading this book forever, the ending was great. There were some epic feels, both good and bad, but the story wrapped up nicely.

I loved everything about this book, from the fantastic characters to the small details that made a difference. Crooked Kingdom is a must read that will have you on edge from the first page to the last.

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO GET BEAT DOWN BEFORE YOU LOSE ALL HOPE?! Infinite apparently because Kaz never once gave up.

My rating is somewhere between 4.5 and 5 stars. I don't want to give the book 5 full stars because of The Incident. We don't talk about The Incident.

Aside from that, this book has everything you could possibly want in a fantasy book! Action, mystery, thrill, excitement, romance, flirting, surprise, feistyness (is that a word?), cunning, cleverness and ADVENTURE!!! It is just everything. A bowl filled with all and only your favourite fantasy YA book candy.

It nearly took me a year to finish this one馃檲but! When I first got the hang of the readingpart, i really really enjoyed it. Because the story and the world is aaamazing (but those yellow pages keeps making me fall asleep!!)
The ending was PERFECT!
