With moments of quotable clarity about her personal experience of writing intermixed with a toolbox of things to try for your own writing, it's no wonder this is one of the iconic books about writing out there. I always enjoy Lamott's mixture of sacred and profane, esoteric and pragmatic. This book was no exception.
