The Flooze
I do not like Rose Hathaway. She is reckless, arrogant, and often illogical. She is a braggart of the worst sort, which prevents me from appreciating her supposed intelligence and her unwavering loyalty to Lissa. Frankly, the positive aspects of her personality are difficult to reconcile against the bratty attitude she exhibits throughout Vampire Academy. I was hard-pressed to see all this “potential she’s said to possess, and that severely limited my enjoyment of the story.

I have had this on my to read list for ages now, and then decided to read it after alot of people told me how good it was. I had ben disappointed by other books in this genre of late so was rather dubious, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This is the type of book you can get into straight away, no waiting 100 pages for the plot to develop, thats my kind of book. I loved the characters especially Rose, who is strong and shes got guts I like that in a female character. Shes also a good person. ...more

I like this book. Not very much of it but still like it. Vampire Academy is a thrilling adventure that draws you along and makes you continue to turn the pages. As the danger to Lissa gets closer, it gets interesting and more difficult to put the book down.

Shes got attitude in overload, can be a bit irritating, the chemistry with dimitri gets me excited but as soon as it starts its gone just like that the author dont explore it. theres not enough action and mosltly happens towards end of the book. the book has lots of potential however compared to house of night by pc cast and kristin cast, now these books has a lot of drama.
