Rating 9/10
Nick and his wive Amy have a seemingly normal and happy relationship. Until one day Amy goes missing. Where is she? And most importantly, did Nick have anything to do with it?
What I Thought:
I’m trying my best not to start my review with the word wow. It just doesn’t seem fitting enough, so how about incredible!? Yea I think incredible works for this novel that had me gasping and swearing as I turned pages.

My only criticism of the book is that it has an overabundance of flawed characters who were available at the right time and place for the exploitation of main characters in the story.
Apart from this very convenient plotting tool the story had all the right ingredients of a bestseller. Pace, alternate viewpoints between victim and suspect, and chapter cliff-hangers at regular intervals. The reader has to peel away the layers of each character as they tell their story, sort though truths, lies and ...more

I am having a really hard time trying to review this book without giving away any spoilers. I have written this review and deleted it and written it again . . . I just want you to be so blown away as I was, so I am not going to give you any of the facts of the story. Let’s just concentrate on my feelings about the book. I will try to keep it as spoiler-free as I possibly can.

Thers not much I can say about this book without giving the game away. What I will say to sum it up is quote Nick.
"Its like an endless archaelogical dig; you think youve reached the final layer, and then you bring your pick down one more time, and break through to a whole new mi e haft beneath. With a maze of tunnels and bottomless pits"

This didn't live up to the potential I felt it had at about half way through.
It's a pretty easy book to spoil, so I don't want to say to much other than first, the pace of the book slows a lot after about half way, and it starts feeling a tiny bit contrived. Second, I was pretty disappointed with the end. On the upside I thought the character development in the first half of the book was pretty damn solid for a thriller.
Characters and plot both considered, it would be an easy book to recommend. ...more

I really, well enjoyed might be a strong word, but I guess enjoyed this book. It is creepy and yet touches on so many real issues in marriage that you keep thinking: this could happen to us one day. And then you think: NO, at least I'm not a psychopath... I'd recommend it as a fun mystery

A very clever psychological thriller! I haven't enjoyed a book this much in a while. Prepare to be engrossed.
