It is exactly the simple guide I thought it will be - short and straight to the point. The notes of Clary, Simon and Jace were hilarious! We are provided an overview of the Shadow World - what Law it obeys, who is part of it, how it interacts with the mundane one, a short history of Nephilim through the ages, skills and training required of shadowhunters, demonology (so it turns out I got wrong what a Greater demon is after reading all books, lol). So good, literally finished it in one sitting. I loved all the little scribbles from Clary, Simon and Jace. But really informative too, and it made me happy to see a few familiar names from The Infernal Devices. :)
