Толкова много обрати, толкова много тъжни моменти, смърт и гибел на едно място. Имаше моменти, когато просто не можех да продължа да чета книгата, защото имах чувството, че се задушавам..буквално се бях "вкарала в книгата" и не можех да продължа. Спирах за момент, за да мога да приема прочетеното и да продължа да чета, за да разбера как ще завърши всичко.
В крайна сметка краят не беше това, което очаквах Скоро не бях чела книга, която да ме държи на ръба на неизвестността до последните изречения. Толкова много обрати, толкова много тъжни моменти, смърт и гибел на едно място. Имаше моменти, когато просто не можех да продължа да чета книгата, защото имах чувството, че се задушавам..буквално се бях "вкарала в книгата" и не можех да продължа. Спирах за момент, за да мога да приема прочетеното и да продължа да чета, за да разбера как ще завърши всичко.
В крайна сметка краят не беше това, което очаквах. Доста често мислех, че Катнис, Гейл или Пийта ще загинат, но се радвам, че не се случи това. Въпреки, че ми беше изключително тъжно от факта, че загинаха Прим, Финик, Богс и още много други. Фактът, че загинаха за да може Катнис да изпълни ролята си отредена на Сойка-присмехулка, не променя това, че беше тежка загубата им. Е, определено се радвам, че президентите Сноу и Койн загинаха ! Само, че цената беше изключително висока.
До последно смятах, че Гейл ще се събере с Катнис, а се оказа, че Пийта е нейният човек. Относно това, съм с изключително смесени чувства.
Като цяло книгата и самата поредица ми харесаха изключително много и съм радостна, че ги прочетох. Нямам търпение да видя и екранизацията на книгите. ...more

Това не е просто краят на трилогия за тийнеджъри. Това, хора, е велика кулминация, която може да бъде написана само от истински талант. След прочита на „Възпламеняване�� имах огромни съмнения дали авторката ще успее да завърши трилогията по подходящ начин. Разбирайте �� логичен и кървав, без никаква милост. ДА. Сюзан Колинс ми даде точно това, което е нужно, за да запомня поредицата.

I'm gonna keep this short..
Words can't being to express how I feel about this one..
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I still think that the previous two books are one of the best Young Adult literature for the past years or so.
So I'm a big fan of The Hunger Games series. I was literally counting the minutes till the book comes out. But now that I read it the thing that pops in my mind is one giant : ugh...

it was very frustraiting. Absoulutley no point in it. Just... UGHHHHH!!! The author ruined it for everybody. The characters weren't well developed and whatever meek esence they had in the first two books was blown to pieces. The idea of the book was good enought, but maybe it wasn't the right idea. It was tragic, it was cruel, it was anything but beautiful. But it was real. It was touching. It was heartbreaking.
Everytime I even see one of the three books, it makes me think of the way we live our lives - from the first and second books, with the wasting of valiable resources and food, to the actual cruelty that human beings are capable of - and the road we're going on. Maybe our future I cried and cried at this book. It was an ending to one of the best and most epic stories I've ever read. It was tragic, it was cruel, it was anything but beautiful. But it was real. It was touching. It was heartbreaking.
Everytime I even see one of the three books, it makes me think of the way we live our lives - from the first and second books, with the wasting of valiable resources and food, to the actual cruelty that human beings are capable of - and the road we're going on. Maybe our future won't be exactly like that but maybe it will. And what then? This story is horrible but God knows humans have done worse things to each other.
The entire series is best described with one word - haunting. In Mockingjay, I started crying around the time the people from her team started dying and didn't stop 'till the very end. It was just cruel, that way the author started killing everybody off, but what could I expect. After all, that started way back, in the first book, with the murder of Rue. But the single most cruel death of all, the most heart wrenching one, was Prim's. The entire story started because of her, because Katniss wanted to protect her from the horrors of the Hunger Games, and it turned out that was the least scary thing of all. My eyes are tearing up right now when I remmember that last scene with her. I think that took the story a little too far. Or maybe it didn't. I just know that I was in Katniss' head in that moment and it was one of the most intensive pains I've ever felt toward a fiction story. I haven't cried so much for anything, exept the season 3 finale of tv show Supernatural, and those who know me know that I don't feel lightly about that one. Worst moment for me ever. Bu the end of the book I was just numb. Couldn't even get happy that she ended up with Peeta.
I think the way it ended was expected. I've always been team Peeta, although I liked Gale, until I read this book. He was painted too dark here, not the hero from the previous two books, but a cruel, calculating, cold-hearted soldier. Took too many points in my book. But the thing that takes the worth from his actions is that they are actully justified. But what Katniss remarked at end was absolutely right - she and Gale are too alike, they always argue and run on each other's nerves. They were just never ment to be. At least not after Peeta came into the picture.
Peeta was definetely not himself in this book. They finally got to him as well, since it was always him that could calm everybody down after a particularly nasty surprise the Capital had mastered. It was just shocking the way he was, up until the very end. The only definetely good guy was turned into an unstable wreck who could go balistic at any moment. Nut he really was the best choice for Katniss in the end. The balance to her rashness and awkwardness. Love the line "You love me - real or not real?" - one of the best in the series.
Katniss - I just don't have words for what she went through. I was entirelly depressed by the end of the book so it seemed she also was, but her life actually went on, no matter all the horrors she saw and felt. I disagree with people disliking the epilogue and the idea of kids because that was it's point - moving on after the end of your world, of everything you lived for.
I can't even express everything I felt when I read this book and look how much I've already written. :D
I can only send my deepest bows to Suzanne Collins for her powerful, extremely emotional and amazingly creative story. When I think of this story, I want to be a better person and that's pure evidence of the author's talent. I will forever count this series as one of my all-time favourites and all-inspiring sources on how not to act toward other people. (even when I really wanna struggle them) ...more

Although all the mental breakdowns, tears and acts of insanity throughout the book suggested the characters should be shot on the spot, by the end I was convinced everything was truly in its right place. Their suffering, and the population of Panem's, wasn't exaggerated or downplayed, but embraced in its true form and didn't disappear over time.
