WOW! Considering how much I was complaining at the beginning, ending up liking Storm Front is quite surprising. Sure, the book had its issues, but, overall, I thought it was one of the better Urban Fantasies out there. And I'm intrigued enough to want to check out the sequel...sequels? There are 17 of them? Oh boy...

One very enjoyable book and a great start to the series.
"My name is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. Conjure by it at your own risk. When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you, give me a call. I'm in the book."
I loved Harry and his sense of humor.
I'm looking forward to the next books and I can't wait to read more about Harry and his adventures. ...more

This was a very average read. It gets three starts only because it was quietly and not annoyingly so. I wish tributes to good ole detective stories were less predictable and more creative.
I liked Harry even though his "loser" facade was not convincing but the secondary characters were very flat and unimpressive as was the plot. There was no suspense to build or surprises to jump at.
I'll give the second book of the series a chance but it'd better be a notch up! ...more

„Буреносен фронт би могла да бъде онази книга, която да запали мъжката аудитория за ърбън фентъзи жанра в България. Огромна част от градските фентъзи романи са писани от жени за жени, няма какво да се лъжем. Обикновено тези романи преливат от подробни описания на много на брой и много секси пичове човеци, феи, ликантропи или вампири. Хвърлете вътре яка и независима главна героиня с магически способности, която покрай разкриването на някаква мистерия/преследването/отмъщението, намира време и з

Ok, the books is everything one might look for in a urban fantasy, BUT... and it's big but for me. First: I find Dresden utterly annoying character as personality. Second: it's utterly annoying as well that the Murphy's law "all bad things that might happen will happen and in the worst possible moment at that" happening to Dresden all the time and he gets out of it every single time without any help. He might be a wizard, but this Superman quality of his bugs me no end, especially that he's repr

Without actually stating it, it seemed as if Charlaine Harris borrowed some stuff from the Harry Dresden novels to be used in the Sookie Stackhouse series, the same goes for Richard Kadrey and Sandman Slim. And since they're all nice reads, it means that there is nothing bad I can say about this series. So, onward with the others!
