Whoa, this was intense! And a lot more violent than what I expected--not in a bad way, though. I felt uncomfortable reading some scenes, but overall this was a refreshing read.
I suppose that the world of the Curse Workers series is some kind of alternate reality where everything is just like our world except some people, the Workers, have extraordinary abilities--some can kill you with a single touch, others can transform you into something else, others can take away your memories, and so on. This book was very interesting with it's tale of curse workers. It was a new and exciting take on...magic I guess. Where by touching someone, some people (very few) have the power to make you feel something, change your memories (INCEPTION!), make you dream (INCEPTION SQUARED), give you luck, kill you or transform objects living and or not living.
