I'm actually starting to warm-up to this series, although the endings always seem a little too overwrought for my tastes. The the baddie is kind of weird and I'm not sure I really get all the technicalities of Ashan and Cassiel's bargain. The gist is interesting enough, but I'm waiting for something other than people getting maimed and killed left and right. Cassiel and Luis are searching for Ibby still. A lot of bad stuff happens to little kids because Pearl wants her revenge and she's going to make the Djinn and the Wardens suffer. Another cliff hanger ending. Hopefully, they figure out what to do stop Pearl soon.

It probably isn't fair, but I can't help compairing Outcast to the Weather Warden series. Weather Warden is so fast paced and action packed that I hold my breath. Outcast just isn't. It's still an excellent series though. Can't wait for #3
