What a beautiful book. Remembering reading Huckleberry Finn from my youth, to be back in that universe felt great. To read what happens with Jim, Huck’s friend was something I missed my entire life (though I was not aware of it). The language, the humour, the compassion and the tenderness of Percival Everett is so beautiful, so intense.
