What a beautiful book. Remembering reading Huckleberry Finn from my youth, to be back in that universe felt great. To read what happens with Jim, Huck’s friend was something I missed my entire life (though I was not aware of it). The language, the humour, the compassion and the tenderness of Percival Everett is so beautiful, so intense.

Brilliantly written, fast paced, easy to ready...well worth taking in this story. I was hooked from the beginning.
