This was a really nice Christmas story. The entire Mackenzie family and some friends are gathered at the Mackenzie family estate in Scotland. They go through their trials and tribulations in finding the perfect gifts for each other. Side stories involve the search for the perfect replacement of a Ming bowl for Ian that Beth accidentally broke, Ian creating the perfect gift for his son, Mac painting the perfect portrait for Isabella, etc. We also got to witness a true boxing match between Cameron

Loved this series. Now I need to go back and reread it's predecessors and continue on with the series.

I’m a little late on this. Or early depending on how you see it. But I thought it was time for a little revisit with some of my favorite Historical Romance characters. If there is one series you need to read in the Historical Romance genre, then you must check out the Highland Pleasures series.

I love the Highland Pleasure series. This novella however was hard for me to follow. The story jumped so much that as I read it (not in one sitting) I was back tracking so much trying to figure out what was going on.
If you have read the Highland Pleasures books a good read but not something you can just read for a light read.

This is a great novella that takes place during the winter holidays at Hart's Scottish castle. All the Mackenzies have gathered together to celebrate Christmas, Boxing Day, and Hogmanay. It was great to revisit with all the Mackenzie couples and their children, and find out the "perfect gifts" that the couples decide to give each other. Also, we get to see glimpses into new stories that are coming up soon: The Macbride brothers, and Detective Fellows. I'm actually very excited about Mr. Fellows

I loved it! And it left me even more eager for the next book in this series, which I've already heard from a trusted source is more than wonderful.
