This was an OK RH read for me, nothing overly exciting but a decent Valentines Day read. Guess I鈥檓 kind of over the harem being a part of the heroines lives for x amount of years in an alternate form, this time her cats. I felt like we got more of an inside look into the villains life than the heroines, especially the romance and sex side of things. In rounding this up because I KNOW there are going to be tons of fans for this book out there and it deserves the attention. Lana Kole is a fantastic author and I generally really enjoy her work, just but this particular effort. That is just me though. On the surface, this book has everything a stand alone RH needs to be successful. Honestly, formulaic, it鈥檚 perfect. I just didn鈥檛 feel it. I didn鈥檛 connect with the characters or the plot. Sometimes you just want a book where you know you'll get your happy ending. I love series. Seriously I almost read them exclusively. But I also love Lana Kole so I knew I needed to read this book. Eh, it is okay. I like the mythology. I disliked all the decisions made by the main characters and felt like the bad guys weren't the ones who paid in the end. I was actually upset with all it all ended.
