What Members Thought

Another fun read. I listened to it fir the first time. Some of the silly snarkiness seemed over the top here. I'm not sure if that is because it was or that listening to it made it stand out more. Yeah for the developing relationship between Charlie and Reyes. Boo because I almost cried at one point when I realized a certain character was already dead and was a ghost. Oh my GOD! How are these books still so great?! I've got an addiction as this point.
This series has many funny moments yet, this book had sad parts, others were I thought I would cry... much like towards the end of the third book. There is emotions to be felt here.
Some of what Charley says though can seem a tad too much. But, that's the character and I'm just going to keep going because in the overall sense of things, that's who Charley is. She's too much.
And she's amazing.

This was a transitional book for me. Charley had to come to terms with a lot of things about herself and she was confronted with fears. She spent this book trying to overcome what she went through in the previous book. I liked that Charley and Reyes tried to get to a better place despite the ups and downs. This book was just as enjoyable as the others and I continue to love the characters more and more. But her father has really been getting to me in the last two books. I now understand why but

Donovan was definitely my favorite character in this installment of the Charley Davidson series. He is boss, y'all. I rated this a bit lower than the other books because I didn't find it as witty though it was no less entertaining and funny. Considering the somber ending of the last book I can understand the fallout spilling onto this one but while there were answers provided as to Charley's Grim Reaper tendencies, I wish they would have been more definitive.
