To view it, click here. 2020 june: ever since evie and sebastian appeared in the previous books, i have wanted to read about them. i just didn't expect them to be the main couple for a book! in some ways, they are opposites. yet, i feel both of them are stubborn as well. but they complement one another. i liked how daring and determined evie was despite her shy personality and how caring sebastian was for evie's welfare throughout their trip to Gretna Green.

it was nice to see some character development in sebastian, t 2020 june: ever since evie and sebastian appeared in the previous books, i have wanted to read about them. i just didn't expect them to be the main couple for a book! in some ways, they are opposites. yet, i feel both of them are stubborn as well. but they complement one another. i liked how daring and determined evie was despite her shy personality and how caring sebastian was for evie's welfare throughout their trip to Gretna Green.

it was nice to see some character development in sebastian, turning from an asshole but charming rake to a besotted rake. as for evie, i felt she had strong determination deep down in her, which allowed her to make a proposition to sebastian in the first place. but along the way, she gained confidence and i really loved seeing both characters develop.

one thing i did not like was how sebastian would be so harsh with his words but I know deep down that he's a really nice man with good intentions so i can't really be angry with him. another thing was it got a little dull at some parts (with the club, the action). that's just me though. i prefer a book to be focused on a relationship. this book was so much better than #1 and #2 of this series. i would daresay it won over #0.5 :D

2020 july: i was missing this book so much that i decided to re-read it. i fell in love with sebastian and evie again! sebastian was a sexy devil, he's so protective of evie, caring of her comfort and wellbeing, his cute nicknames for evie, is playful in bed and always has something sexy to say. evie was such a strong woman with backbone, being able to stand up to sebastian & refusing to bend to his will. sebastian can be a little overbearing at times and evie is also quite stubborn so they may argue sometimes but i think sebastian is just being protective of evie. it's just his harsh words that make evie think that he is controlling her, which she has had enough of when she was with her mother's family.

it's really heartwarming to see in the second half of the book as they become closer as a married couple, with both of them flirting with one another. sebastian has changed a lot since he met evie, becoming someone who cared more about others than himself. it was really nice to see this huge character development in him and it was all because of evie. i love the book so much that i'm considering to buy the physical copy! ...more

Love this book. It's one of Lisa Kleypas' best!!
Evie.. sweet, delicate Evie, beautiful red hair, body women dream of.. and zero confidence.. so who else does she agree to marry?? Sebastian.. ha! A delightful love story ensues. I love that he is forward, sensual and lets not forget sexual and Evie is sooo not. And Evie won't have any of him unless he is utterly faithful, only to her!! (not his strong suit)

This is my absolute fav among the Wallflower series. I could relate to Evie as I have a stammer and as a child I was very shy and quite due to that. Also I love redhead heroines and I always felt Evie known as the quietest and timid (but also the most beautiful in a conventional way according to me) of the four Wallflowers had a lot of potential to be a strong-willed and independent once she found the man of her dreams.
